Dialling the number of her fiance, Aanvi kept the phone between her shoulders and ears while chopping the capcicum.

"Hello." Hearing the sleepy voice from the other side, she looked at the clock which showed 2 in the afternoon and her eyes widened.

"You are still not up to Ishaan." She said and heard the shuffling from the other side.

"I.." He stopped not knowing what to say.

"Get ready fast. You have a meeting at 3. We will talk later." She said and listening to his humming, she hung up the call.

She couldn't feel the usual thrill and playfulness in his voice making her wonder.

"What are you making?" Meera asked coming inside the kitchen with Aarush who was playing with a shinchan model.

"Schezwan Noodles with Manchurian gravy."Aanvi replied, smiling at her sister-in-law who dropped her son down on the floor.

"What happened?" Meera asked but Aanvi just smiled in return.

"A relationship advice from me." Grinning, Meera said, keeping her elbows around Aanvi's shoulder.

"If you feel something is wrong, just talk it out. Remember that communication is the key." Meera said, looking at Aanvi.

"You know how me and your brother were." Meera said standing beside Aanvi.

"Fighter Cocks." Aanvi said, laughing a little. Her brother and Meera were in the same college during their MBBS and she was junior to him by 2 years. They had a love marriage starting from a fight and indeed it was beautiful.

"And once we talked after a year of regular fights. That was when our friendship bloomed and then love happened. Honestly, I feel you and Ishaan make a perfect couple. And honestly no relationship is perfect. We have to work on it. Try to open up with Ishaan. Don't make him feel that whatever you guys have is one-sided. Perfection is a delusion baby. Imperfection is the new trend." Meera said, caressing her face in a gentle tone as her voice turned playful at the end.

Aanvi nodded, holding her hand as she smiled at her.

"Will surely contact you for further relationship advice after my marriage." Winking at Meera, Aanvi said. Meera laughed, caressing her face as she pecked her forehead.

"Aanvi, you have been nothing less than my own sister for me baby. Your bhaiya said that you are his first baby and it's true. You are our first baby. I am always there for you." Meera said teary eyed. Being the single child, Aanvi completed the place of her own siblings from the time she stepped into Goenka house, mainly 6 years.

"I will miss you." Hugging Meera, Aanvi mumbled with tear filled eyes.

"Stop making me emotional." Meera said lightly smacking on Aanvi's back making her giggle with tears as she wiped her tears away.

Ishaan rubbed his head which was aching badly as he sat on the sofa of his cabin with his left leg above his right. Grabbing the glass of water, he pulled out a medicine gulping it down.

He was just done with the meeting and was really thankful to Aanvi who woke him up. Not being able to sleep, he was working late last night and couldn't wake up timely.

Taking his phone, he smiled looking at the wallpaper caressing her face over the screen and dialled her number which by now he had memorised by heart.

"Hello." He heard her voice and chuckled when he heard the snickers behind. He understood she must be with her brother and sister-in-law who were giving her teasing looks as her voice held hesitation and shyness.

"Thankyou." He whispered and heard her chuckle.

"It feels like our life will pass with you thanking me." She said, chuckling , leaning on the railing as she came outside on the balcony.

"But it's not a good habit, Ishaan. It will affect your health adversely if you won't have a tab over your biological clock. Try to do everything timely." She said from the other side, making his eyes twinkle at her concern for him.

"Now you are coming into my life in a month. So I will take care of you and in return you will take care of me. Isn't it a great deal?" He said leaning onto the chair as he rotated the paper weight with his other hand, a playful smile playing on his lips.

"Not a bad idea Mr.Flirty." She said, chuckling, making him laugh.

They talked for a while more until Rohan knocked on Ishaan's cabin making him abruptly hang the call.

"Aanvi, get ready." Her mother said as she came inside her room Aanvi was happily playing with the baby Aarush who had a fistful of her hairs in his hands.

"Why? You liked someone else for yourself. What about Papa then?" Freaking out over dramatic, Aanvi said only to receive a smack and glare from her mother in return.

"We are going for jewellery shopping and your in-laws will arrive there too. Make it fast." Her mother said leaving her room along with Aarush. Aanvi made a crying face dragging herself to her cupboard.

Applying face wash, she washed her face gently and wiping it with the towel, she went outside.

Getting dressed in an off-white Anarkali plain suit, she applied kohli lining her eyes with it and eyeliner. Squirting her favourite perfume, she smiled widely. Taking oxidised silver mirror work earrings, she wore them followed by tying a wrist watch. Applying a peach lipstick, she grabbed her heels and in moments she was good to go.

Grabbing the multicolour dupatta, she put it on her both shoulders and taking her wallet and phone, she was out in seconds.

"Mumma, I seriously don't want you to purchase jewellery for me. Especially when you know that I get rashes wearing them." Aanvi said, parking the car in front of the showroom making her mother chuckle.

"It's tradition baby." She said untying her sir belt made Aanvi roll her eyes.

"Traditions are made by humans and it is bound to change but the thing is we are not willing to accept the change." She said coming out of the car as she gave her wallet to her mother who kept it inside the handbag she was carrying.

She spotted Manya, Priya, his Dadi and him in front of the showroom waiting for them as the mother daughter duo made their way towards them.

After the initial greetings, all the elders went inside as she was left along with him.

"How are you?" He asked, shoving his hand inside the pockets of his denims as she gave him a look.

"I am perfectly fine but I don't think you are." She said, making him eye her in confusion.

"How did this happen?" She asked, holding his hand as her thumb caressed his wound which was wrapped in the bandage making him shiver.

"It's nothing." He said, pulling his hands away as he straightened his black jacket.

He was casually dressed in denim jeans and black jacket with an off-white shirt underneath. His hairs were messily styled making him look incredibly hot.

"Ishaan." She said in a strict tone as they made their way inside the showroom.

"Okay fine. By mistake, I broke a glass and while picking it up they pierced my skin." He said, raising his hand in surrender. Though she was not satisfied with his answer because the wound was in the middle of the palm and quite wide, she nodded reluctantly.

How was it?

Your thoughts on them?

Now the story won't is getting into the pace I wanted it to be. Neither too fast, not too slow. But accordingly, you guys may find it slow compared to the first few chapter then only you will enjoy because you can't expect them to pounce on each other. Its like a slow burn.

And if everything goes according to my plan, the book will be completed within a month.
