two weeks later...

Spring was finally settled down in the streets of Seoul. A road of cherry blossoms flourishing leaded students to their university; and sitting in a wooden bench were three of the girls chatting.

❝Do you guys have to go to class right now?❞ Skylark asked her friends who were sitting beside her ❝Because I could totally use a ride home❞

Yisoo nodded ❝I'd love to take you home, Sky. But we have business ethics in about five minutes❞

❝Ughhh❞ Hana growled, waking up from her daydream ❝We do?❞

Skylark giggled ❝It's alright❞ She placed hand on Yisoo's knee and then looked into Hana's direction. ❝Did you go partying again last night? I thought you were getting responsible now❞

❝You did?!❞ Yisoo exclaimed in a mad tone ❝You said you were doing your part of the project!❞

Hana's eyes opened widely ❝Calm down! I was home all night trying to get my god damn part done... but Yoongi kept distracting me so it took me way longer than I expected❞ She defended herself quickly.

Skylark and Yisoo looked at each other with a smirk on their faces. ❝Who's Yoongi?❞ They asked in unison.

Hana facepalmed herself for making that huge mistake ❝Oh... no one❞ She vaguely tried to lie about it ❝I gotta go to class now, before somebody steals my seat❞

Sooah felt her phone vibrating in her pocket but didn't want to open her eyes. She had just taken the best nap ever after studying for a whole week and sleeping barely 4 or 5 hours per night.

She was the one who decided to study medicine after all, and she tried to get encouragement by repeating herself she'll be done with university soon.

She carefully removed the arm that was tightly wrapping her and managed to get her phone out of her pocket without waking Taehyung up.

"Skylark, what's up?"

"I'm freaking out,
I need your help Sooah"

"Alright calm down,
you're scaring me"

"It's Moonbin..."

"Moonbin? -oh wait,
someone's on the door"

"It's me"

Sooah got out of bed and opened the door of her small apartment. She couldn't help but giggle at the nervous girl in front of her. Skylark and her had gotten pretty close in the last weeks, especially after Taehyung's best friend started to text her.

❝Come in, and tell me what's wrong❞

❝Moonbin invited me to a campfire tonight, I don't think I'm ready to see him again❞ Skylark let herself fall into the comfortable sofa without hesitation. ❝I was pretty wasted at the party when I met him❞

Sooah smiled when she remembered that crazy night ❝Okay but he was wasted too, and still he decided to text you❞ She declared ❝That means he likes you❞

Skylark felt her cheeks burnt by just thinking about it. There had been a while since she hadn't think about boys; after she got pretty hurt by one. Plus she had many worries already and the idea of developing romantic feelings towards Moonbin was becoming another worry on the list. ❝Is that even possible? I mean... we barely know anything each other❞

❝Let's things flow, Sky. You'll be fine by just being yourself, you're adorable❞

❝Aw, thank you... You're making me feel a bit better❞ Skylar sighed ❝I just... I'd feel more comfortable if I knew the people that will be there tonight❞ She confessed with an uncommon shyness in her voice.

Suddenly the girls heard footsteps coming to the living room ❝Invite as many people as you want, our band will be performing a couple of songs❞ a sleepy Taehyung appeared.

❝As you can see, he's thirsty for groupies❞ Sooah joked before kissing her somnolent boyfriend's cheek. ❝But he's stuck with me❞

❝I think it's enough studying for today ❞ Jaehwa established before closing her math book. ❝You can go home now❞

The boy looked at her with wide eyes ❝Are you serious? We've been here for less than an hour and I hadn't learned anything❞ Wooseok spoke a little irritated.

❝Look, it's friday and I've been invited to a campfire❞ Jaehwa explained ❝With college guys❞ She especially remarked this last part. ❝Do you really expect me to stay here studying with you?❞

Wooseok rolled his eyes at her ❝Mr. Park won't be happy when he finds out that you been partying instead of helping me❞ He commented ❝Neither your sister ❞

Jaehwa snarled and gave him a deadly glare ❝How much is it gonna cost to keep your ugly mouth shut?❞

❝Not much... just take me with you❞ He crossed his arms over the table in a defiantly way.

It took Jaehwa two seconds to realize it wasn't a terrible plan, she could just ignore him the whole night ❝Okay! You can come to the fucking campfire... but don't expect me to pay you any attention❞

❝It's fine by me❞ He victoriously smirked.

It was almost 7pm...

❝I made a promise and even though it was pretty unfair, I'll go to this date tonight❞ Nahyun said as she stuffed her mouth with chocolate chip cookies ❝Scoups won't leave me alone if I keep on putting it off ❞  She managed to say.

Hwayoung raised her eyebrows ❝Scoups? Aww, you already gave him a nickname?❞ She clapped with enthusiasm ❝That's so cute!❞

❝I guess it'll be only the two of us in my car tonight❞ Hyorin incorporated herself into the conversation. ❝We can drop Nahyun off in our way to the capfire❞

❝Aish... What should I do?!❞ Nahyun exclaimed in frustration ❝I really wanna go with you guys. You know how much I love campfires!❞

❝Why don't you invite him?❞ Hwayoung  proposed ❝It can still be a date❞

Nahyun's face suddenly lit up ❝That's a good idea! You're brilliant!❞ She jumped out of excitement ❝Can I give you a hug?❞

❝Uh... sure❞ The writer responded, letting herself get wrapped by her friend's arms.

Nahyun immediately phone-called Seungcheol to let him know about the new date plan. Fortunately, he accepted without hesitation. At the end of the day, he just wanted to spend some time with the nursery student to show her he wasn't as dumb and promiscuous as she thought.

❝Didn't you say something about your dance team going too?❞  Hwayoung asked Hyorin while the youngest was on the phone.

Hyorin looked at her in surprise, she thought nobody had listened to her when she said that a few minutes ago ❝Yeah... unfortunately❞ She shrugged ❝I mean... they're nice, and way more disciplined than I thought but I don't really want to see them tonight❞

❝There must be a reason, right?❞ Hwayoung wondered glaring at her older friend.

❝Come on, spill the tea❞ Nahyun appeared again as curious as always and sat next to the dancer.

Hyorin chuckled ❝Well... there's this guy called Jimin❞ She started ❝He's sweet and he's always trying to impress me... I don't know how to push him away without hurting him❞ She finally confessed with her eyes stuck on the floor.

And here we go again. It didn't matter how cold Hyorin was towards Jimin or how bad her case of resting bitch face was. He was determined to pass that barrier and become her friend. On the other hand, she was determined to avoid new bonds. She couldn't allow herself to like another man, not after her ex-boyfriend's accident.

❝And why do you have to push him away exactly?❞ Hwayoung asked her even though she knew the answer. She felt extremely bad for her friend and just wanted her to stop blaming herself for what happened two years ago.

❝Hyorin, it's been 2 years❞ Nahyun impulsively established as Hyorin felt her heart ache once again, it was evident that she felt uncomfortable and didn't want to talk about it. The problem was that she never wanted to, and she kept bottling things up. ❝You need to let it go, move on... go out and meet some...❞

❝Nahyun❞ Hwayoung interrupted her after noticing the dancer's reaction ❝That's enough, let's leave this out of discussion❞

❝I'm sorry❞ Nahyun apologized. Feeling terrible for putting her friend in that situation... again.

❝It's okay❞ Hyorin falsely smiled ❝Should we start getting ready?❞ The show had to go on.

The campfire was waiting for them with a lot of surprises...
