His Curiousity That Kills: Chapter 9

Aichi saw Kourin in a bad mood again. She was ignoring everyone again.

Is she angry at me? For joking the other day?

Aichi thought as Kourin passed by him, ignoring him as if he does not exist.

Misaki eyed Kourin. But Kourin did not notice and just looked forward.

"Kourin-" Misaki started, but she stopped since Kourin stood up and transfered seats with Asaka.

It was their Physics today.

"Asaka, does Kourin ever give attention to you since last week?" Misaki asked.

"Not even a glance." Asaka replied to her, earning a thrifty nod from the lilac haired girl.

"Ohayo, Asaka-chan! Ohayo, Misa-" Ren paused. "-Ki!" He continued.

"Ohayo, Ren-sama." Asaka replied.

"It's Misaki." Misaki said with a glare.

Ren handed something to Asaka and she nodded while thanking him.

Ren returned to his seat and Kai sighed.

"Terribly good mood, Ren. Is that because of that blue-haired girl?" Kai said with a cool tone.

"Oh, Asaka-chan? No." Ren said to him.

Their professor arrived and everybody in the room settled down.

-Time Skip-

It was Chemestry. Asaka grabbed Misaki's wrist and started running to the Chemestry lab. But Misaki noticed something about Asaka.

"Asaka, your mood changed. Is that because of the red head?" The lilac haired girl asked the blue haired girl.

"Nahh. Ren-sama? Nahh." The blue haired girl replied.

Misaki's crystal blue eues looked weirdly at her blue haired best friend.

Asaka noticed Misaki looking at her weirdly but she just shrugged it off and continued to bring (or drag) her to the Chemestry lab.

They parted ways and Asaka sat with Ren, while Misaki sat with Kai.

"Look," Misaki heard a serious voice say.

"I don't think we would be able to finish the task if we don't get along with each other. We started in bad terms. Let's start over?" Kai said and Misaki nodded.

"My name is Toshiki Kai, but I don't like being called by my first name." Kai said and held out his hand.

"I'm Misaki Tokura, but they call me Misa." Misaki said and shook his hand.

"Friends?" Misaki asked.

"Friends." Kai confirmed.

Their handshake was stopped when the professor entered.

There was another activity again and they started doing it. But, unlike last time, this time they were chatting.

"Tokura, you're doing that wrong." Kai pointed out and stood up. He held her hands and moved them so she would do it correctly.

Misaki nodded and Kai let go. Soon enough they were finished and they passed their project.

-Time Skip-

Kourin stood up and got her sling bag. She walked away without a word.

Aichi also stood up and followed her due to his curiousity. He saw her go out of the school.

Where is she heading for?

Aichi asked himself.

He just continued following Kourin. Aichi remained silent as he followed Kourin.

A hospital? But why would she go here?

He wondered as he saw Kourin enter. Aichi just sat on a bench on a park nearby and waited for her.

Kourin entered the hospital room. 426.

Kourin smiled sadly as she saw a peach-haired girl on the bed. Rekka's hair became short, her waist-long hair was only up to her chest now.

"Kou....Rin?" She heard her say.

"Yes Rekka. It's me. How are your wounds?" Kourin asked sadly.

Rekka has been involved in an accident the other day. No wonder that Kourin has been in a bad mood lately.

"Not good, not bad. Thanks for the concern, Kourin."

They shared a conversation for a while until Kourin left.

When she reached the park, she saw a familliar blue haired guy.

"Aichi? What are you doing here?"

"Nahh. I'd rather not tell unless you tell me why did you go to the hospital." Aichi said calmly.

"Rekka was involved in an accident. Now what?" Kourin said impatiently and rolled her eyes.

"I followed you." He said.

They had a short conversation until Aichi asked something that made it awkward.

"Would you.. Go out with me?"
Aichi asked.

"What?" Kourin asked in disbelief.

"I said... would you go out with me?" Aichi repeated.

Why on Earth? Oh, maybe this would be one of his jokes again. Yup. One of his jokes.

"You're joking, right?" Kourin laughed lightly.

"No, I'm serious. You know, I just want to cheer you up. You must be in a bad mood now, due to Rekka being hospitalized." Aichi said seriously.

Kourin looked for any signs of lying, but there was none.

"Okay, sure." Kourin said as if it was nothing.

"Tomorrow at 4?"

"Tomorrow at 4."

They bid goodbye and parted ways.

Don't have your hopes up, they're only going out as friends.

And, important: I updated early since I would study hard to raise my grades. Our exams would be this week so maybe I would update next week.
