The Mistake and Her Realization: Chapter 56

I need ice packs due to Vanessa's reaction on this chap. That's an exaggeration already.

Asaka sighed and sweatdropped as she saw their glare

"Sorry, okay? I didn't know that you're in the middle of a.... Uh.... Re-union?" Asaka apologized yet it seemed like a question.

She needs an excuse, or death would be the only door available.

"And .. I..Ileftmyearphones." She spoke faster than usual.

"What?" Misaki and Kai asked in unison, since Asaka spoke really fast.

"I...I l..left my e..earphones." Asaka said slower this time, yet stuttering can't be avoided.

Kai sighed then tossed something. Asaka caught it and immediately thanked him.

As Asaka was about to go out, Misaki spoke. "And by the way, don't tell anyone about what you've heard."

Asaka stopped for a while. She knows? Better tell rather than Misaki knowing by herself.

"D..don't worry, I..I won't." She stammered.

Misaki smirked at her. Asaka knew that trick. "I knew it, you were eavesdropping!"

"And to think that you think we would fall for that trick." Kai added, causing Asaka to be apologetic.

Next Day....

Everyone entered the Physics lab as the professor was in sight

Kourin and Asaka sat beside each other. They were the gossipers between the three of them.

Asaka wrote something on a paper and handed it to Kourin. .

They got pet names already.

Kourin thought as she read what's written. Kourin got Asaka's hand and acted as if she was writing (forgot what it's called)

I'll confirm that later.

Asaka nodded.

As soon as Physics was over, Kourin walked over to Misaki, but Kai did it ahead of her.

She confirmed what Asaka said as she heard their conversation.

"Ohayo, Miki. Ikemas?" Kai asked and Misaki nodded. (Good Morning, Miki. Let's go?)

"Chotto matte Misa!" Kourin called. (Wait for a moment, Misa!)

"Nandeska?" Misaki asked and Kourin swore that she saw a sharp glance from Kai. (What is it?)

Posessive...

Kourin thought. "Well, I'll tell you later instead on second thought." She lied.

Or it was a half-lie.

Time skip to lunch time, the 6 of them were heading to the field.

The others were eating, Misaki reading again and Kai lost in his thoughts.

She changed my life, and it started with an i.d tag.

Misaki noticed this and asked him. "Nandeska? Daijobu?" (What is it? Are you alright?)

"Iya, betsuni. Shinpai ja nai de. I was just lost in thoughts." (No, it's nothing. Do not worry.) Kai reassured her.

"What are you thinking about?" Misaki asked.

"You. How you changed my life. " Kai said honestly.

Then suddenly, Kourin thought of an idea. "What's up with the pet names?"

Asaka saw Kourin's lead. "And your re-" She stopped as she promised not to tell. "And your sweetness with each other?"

Misaki knew where this was heading so she stood up. "I'll go to the locker room."

She left without another word.

Kai was forced to stay, unless he would be called overprotective or worse, possesive. Well, the worse is true.

5 minutes passed already and Misaki didn't return yet. Not that she promised to return.

Kai stood up and went also to the locker room. But, he didn't expect the unexpected.

He saw Misaki and Leon, kissing.

Kai knew that Misaki has a good explanation for this, but his emotions went ahead of him.

Misaki saw Kai and immediately pushed Leon harshly.

"I got an expl-" Misaki started but was cut off.

"Quit it. Shut your trap. YOU'RE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE." Kai didn't shout, but he was intimidating.

He left without another word. To think that I swallowed my pride for that user.... It's pathetic

Next day...

Misaki entered the History class. She knew that Kaiwas mad at her.

And it was my mistake too, if I pushed him away immediately.

She was blaming herself.

But he didn't listen to my explanation. His fault.

Demo... Did he even try to listen? Soure no mondai da.. Chigao. (But... Did he even try to listen? That's the question.. No.)

I should stop thinking about it! Damn!
She scolded herself.

After 5 subjects, she was bored as heck.

She wasn't used to it, since every time she would get in a small and stupid arguement.

Then she realized one thing.

I love Kai, and I won't deny it any longer. I can't live normally without him.
