His Honest Feelings For Her: Chapter 21

"I will."

Those two words shocked the other three. Asaka let go of his shoulder and nodded at him.

Kai sighed in relief. It felt like a big weight was removed from his shoulders.

Yes, he admits. He has fallen for Misaki. Although he denied it at first, Kai finally accepted the fact that he has fallen for her.

He walked away from everyone and headed for the Art room.

Kai sat beside Misaki who was shocked. Ren was her seat mate but then Kai is the one beside her. She glanced at Kai's proper seat and saw Ren beside Aichi.

Misaki sighed and just kept on reading her book, not noticing Kai sometimes stealing a glance.

Kai's phone vibrated. Ren has texted him.

From: Shadow Paladin

Stealing glances? Really, Kai, since when did you steal glances?

Kai glared at Ren (who was two rows behind them) and Ren gave an innocent smile.

To: Shadow Paladin

Shut up, who was not planning on attending practice unless Misa and I searched for him?

He replied.

Aichi snatched Ren's phone and started reading the message. He read (past tense) it out loud and stretching his arm so Ren would not reach it.

"Aichi-kun!"
Ren pouted.

"Nope. Not gonna work." Aichi said and stuck out his tongue.

Yep, both of them are childish.

Their professor arrived and Aichi put Ren's phone inside his pocket.

"Ai-chi!" Ren called.

"Ohayo, class. We have a project done by pairs. Pairings would be-" He started naming out pairs.

"Kai and Tokura. Next, Suzugamori and Sendou."

Kai sighed. If he was still the Kai that was so cold and bored in all things, he would have hated it.

"Go with me together in luch break. Let's do the project immediately." He heard Misaki say.

"Wha- Alright." He replied absent-mindedly.

Misaki sighed and listed the materials. All of them were available in the school supplies store in their school.

"Here. Choose the materials that you would bring." Misaki said and stood up. After all, they were free to do anything since their professor gave them the time to do the project.

Misaki asked permission to go out to buy the materials and the professor nodded. Kai also did the same and followed her.

"Misa!" Kai called and Misaki stopped. It was the first time that Kai called her by her nickname.

"Nani?" She asked.

"I'll go with you." He said and Misaki nodded.

There was the awkward silence between them. Not wanting to make it more awkward, Kai spoke.

"Did you already memorize the scenes of the play?" Kai said and mentally scolded himself.

Good, Kai. What a nice way to start a convo. Since when did you become awkward around girls?

He thought sarcastically.

"Huh? What made you ask?

"N...Nothing."

And sht, I stammered for the first time in my whole life! What have you done to me, Misa? You changed me... In a good way though.

They continued walking without the awkward silence.

"Let's go?" Misaki said and brought the materials.

Kai nodded. Misaki saw the look that Kourin and Asaka were giving her.

"What?!" She asked coldly.

"Nothing!" The two of them said in sync, and Misaki noticed that something is up with them.

"Come on." They heard Kai say and Misaki nodded.
