A/N: I am not sure if I ever made this clear but, all Navi knows about soulmates. All Na'vi know it's a given to have multiple mates and to have platonic and familial soulmates. It is normal to see mated pairs get together with other mated pairs creating polycules.

Ranari was delighted to see his future mate, Y/N, come back from the forest even though a ball of jealousy was sitting in the pit of his stomach when he saw you with Jake and Tonowari. Tonowari was okay, it's whatever he didn't care, it was Jake he was jealous of but, only because he wanted all your time for himself. He wanted to mate you before any of them even touched you, he wanted to be first. That was the selfish part of him, the rest of him though, the whole village knew about including Ivey. The last couple of days he made it very clear he didn't want her, Yes she cried but, she deserved it for attacking his Y/N. Y/N was his. He had already made a necklace as an official courting gift and was waiting for the right time to give it to her. He knew she would accept, he doesn't care about anyone else, he wants his Y/N. He wants to bond with her, mate with her, and make a family with her. He can see their child already as the perfect mix of them. He was getting ahead of himself though. He watched as Jake and Tonowari walked her to the Marui and left a few minutes later. He knew he should give you space or maybe you actually didn't want space? Ah, fuck it. He decided to go to the Marui to see you for himself knowing you were alone even if it was for a few minutes.

You were lying on your stomach contemplating when you picked up familiar footsteps. You looked towards the Marui door to see Ranari with a smile and a hand behind his back. Your ears twitched in interest as you sat up and he stepped in sitting down in front of you. "Hi, Nari." He tilted his head at you, lifting a hand to press to your face caressing the bridge of your nose to under your eye taking in your features.

"Hi Ma Y/N." He always called you his, his Y/N and you liked it. You liked the thrill, the feeling of actually being wanted. "Have you eaten yet?" You nodded your head explaining that you ate some fruit for now until dinner. "Will you eat with me tonight?" You nodded your head in agreement as he finally pulled the necklace he was hiding from behind his back. "...I would like for you to wear this." He was confident yes, but, that didn't stop the nerves. You grabbed the necklace inspecting it before turning around and moving your hair to expose your neck

"Can you put it on for me, please?" You weren't stupid. You knew it was a courting gift and by you accepting it, you knew exactly what was going on. The only issue is telling the others but, they would understand. They already knew about Ranari being your soulmate and the whole being blessed by Eywa to have multiple mates. If you were a human, all of this would have been a load of shit. However, you're not on a dying planet. You're on a moon called Pandora with the navi, giant blue aliens that you are one of them now and who were you to go against Eywa's will? She blessed you to have everything that you dreamed of. You used to daydream as a young girl of being swept off your feet by a princess or prince charming, anyone really but, who knew you would find your Kings and Queens six years away on a foreign moon? You never would have thought you would fall in love with such a beautiful place but, here you were. You were brought back to reality when you felt a kiss pressed to the nape of your neck and arms wrapped around your waist holding you.

"Ivey will not bother you again." You tensed at the sound of her name but, Ranari held you tighter afraid you would try to get away when he just got you back. Yes, he was absolutely obsessed and possessive of you but, he didn't care. "I swear it ma syulang. She will not bother you again. I made it clear who I wanted. She knows it is you that I want. Ronal and Tonowari have already reprimanded her as well. They know. The village knows I don't want her." You slowly relaxed into his hold as he spoke moving your arms to cover his that were holding you. He maneuvered a bit so that you were in between his legs leaning against his chest. He loved how perfectly you fit in his arms and against him. Some primal part of him loved how small you were, the size difference driving him crazy but, he tried to keep that part in check.

"Oel ngati kameie, Ranari." You felt him freeze behind you moving a hand from your hip to your chin to turn towards him. His eyes were wide, mouth open in shock. You gave him a smile both of you staring at each other. "You thought I was going to say no?" You expected him to grin wildly, and laugh even since it was part of his personality but, all you got was a sincere smile, no teeth, not a grin. A genuine smile that had you staring in awe bringing your own hand up to trace the patterns of the stripes on his face. He huffed bringing his face closer to yours capturing your lips in a kiss that had you giggling but, you kissed back. The two of you laughed breathlessly as you shared kisses in the privacy of the Marui. More than likely Tonowari and Jake had told everyone to let you rest not taking into account that Ranari wouldn't listen. The kids should be coming soon anyway.

"I know you've been through a lot these past couple of days. A lot of emotional turmoil that I wish I could take away but, I cannot. I am happy that you seem to have made up with Jake and Tonowari... You still have to talk to Ronal, right?" You winced nodding your head at him. That was a conversation that you knew was not going to be pleasant. "I'm here for you Ma Y/N...I know we are not officially mated but, I want to. Eywa do I want to be yours. I want you to be mine. I need you...However, I know you must talk with Ronal and tell the others that you've accepted my courting gift." You were turned fully in his lap this time, the two of you talking lowly, scared to disturb the tranquility.

"Will you be mad at me that I want more than just you? Oel ngati kameie, nga yawne lu oer Ranari. I always will that's why I accepted this courting gift...You help complete me but, I do want the others. I-I understand if you want-" Your ramblings were cut off by him pressing his lips to yours shushing you easily, running his hands up and down your sides comfortingly.

"At ease ma Y/N. I knew exactly what I was getting into when I fell for you. I do not regret my decision and when we mate, we will be mated for life. That I will not regret... You chose strong potential mates anyway so, I cannot be mad at that...Also, I demand our alone time, I need you all to myself sometimes or I will go crazy." You laughed at that leaning in to kiss his nose, cheeks, and finally his lips. You leaned onto his chest listening to his heartbeat. It was calm, and he smelled good making you feel safe, safe enough to purr and you couldn't help the little grin at his noise of surprise and the way he pulled you in closer.

"Your purr is as pretty as you are." You glanced up at him giggling a bit but, your purring never stopped. You were trying to take this moment with him, you needed as much peace and calm before shit hits the fan with Ronal later. You were going to talk with her today whether she wanted to or not. You told Tonowari and Jake this while walking back and, you're sure that Tonowari already informed her. "I can't wait to call you mine." You snorted looking up at him playfully.

"Not like it's going to be a surprise. You are not subtle." He grinned toothly, his fangs on display

"I wasn't trying to be." You huffed placing your face back on his chest ignoring the rumbling from him chuckling. You knew the children would be back so. after you got bombarded by them you were going to go find Ronal.

Just like you said, the children did in fact get the news you were back and piled in the Marui crowding you. Spider was in your lap along with Lo'ak and Tsireya and the others were right there all of them touching some part of you. Ranari had left beforehand giving you time.

"Sa'nuk who gave you that necklace?" It was Spider who was toying with it in his hands. You loved how soft and comfortable he was with you. He always was, he was, and is your first child whether it's blood or not you didn't care. Lo'ak was toying with it too while the others stared at it curiously even though Tsireya and Kiri seemed to already know. They would.

"Ranari...It's a courting gift." There were different reactions from all of them, Tuk being the happiest and Aonung and Neteyam seemed to have been frowning.

"Honestly? Should have seen that one coming." You giggled at the exasperation in Lo'ak's voice as he stopped touching it moving over to give Neteyam room to crowd you this time. Tuk was somewhere on your side with Tsireya both of them playing with your tail

"Yeah, I accepted of course but, now I got to see how your guy's parents are going to react." There was silence until Aonung spoke up

"I thought you were going to be with my parents, they would talk about you even now." He was looking at you a bit shyly since he knows about the whole debacle with you and his mother, how in her own way she was trying to make up for the mistreatment she did to you.

"She was supposed to be with our parents. They knew and loved her first anyway. She's our other sa'nuk anyway." You watched and listened as they all bickered about whose parents were better and what not so before things escalated into a physical fight you butted in.

"How much do you guys know about soulmates?" Tuk seemed to have lost interest mid-bickering and had gone off to play with the kids and their Ilu so you felt safe enough to talk to everyone here. You watched as they all nodded a bit beside Spider and Lo'ak seemed to be confused.

"I know you can have more than one soulmate and you can have different ones. You can have familial, platonic, and mates." You nodded as they all added their own thoughts until you butted in again.

"I knew about soulmates for a very long time, never the full extent of it but, I did know...When I was with Eywa." You ignored the way they all tightened their hold on you, closing in even closer almost on top of you fully. "We talked a lot. It was so nice, she was like a breath of fresh air. She told me so much, so much I didn't know, I didn't understand Pandora... I know now why she is called the Great Mother." You were lost in thought remembering your time up there "She told me how there are only a few individuals she has hand-picked, blessed to go a certain route. She told me quests to different clans are not over, I have not met all of my soulmates and I must do that to be complete... In my case, I can have up to twenty mates, for familial I can have hundreds and for platonic, I can have thousands... Overall for familial and platonic soulmates that can be applied to everyone but, when it comes to mates you can have one to three...I guess this is another thing to make me stand out."

"Standing out is not a bad thing." You looked over at Kiri who was staring at her hand, the other one rubbing over her eyebrows. You turned your eyes to Lo'ak to see he was doing the same and you felt your heart swell. Those two have always felt different and besides Jake, you've always tried your best to make them feel comfortable in their own skin.

"I think it's a beautiful thing. Kiri, it makes you closer to your biological mother and your dad. Loak." You raised a hand to his head rubbing the braids back "I see your father in you every day and I cannot be any more proud of you than I am right now. You are reckless and headstrong, but you are also determined, and love hard which is everything that will make you a great warrior." You caressed his cheeks with your thumb smiling at the way he leaned into you. "Do not ever be discouraged by such differences." You turned your attention back to the others in the room.

"Do you think we all have a soulmate?" You turned to Tsireya who was rubbing her arm and you reached a hand up caressing her face a bit smiling when she leaned into your hand with a smile.

"Of course you do. Some of you may have already met them and don't know it yet. Maybe you might have more than one. Only yourself and Eywa will know." It was quiet now. The children have questions but, choose to ask them another time. They wanted to just be in your presence.

Your heart was racing as fast as your thoughts. As soon as the children left you decided to just rip it off like a bandaid and head straight to the Tshaik and Olo'eyktan Marui. You forgot you had the necklace on as eyes landed on you and then the necklace but, you had no time. You didn't need nor want distractions at this moment. You needed to get to Ronal and speak with her, baby be damned. Once you saw their Marui you climbed up towards it forgetting to go around the easier way. You were by the entry when you cleared your throat greeting the two inside and smiling at baby Ankoy. He was in his father's arms resting and Ronal seemed to have known already you were coming. Both of them had glanced at your necklace but, said nothing.

"Tonowari, Ronal" You greeted them still smiling at Ankoy who was holding a lock of his father's hair. The sight of their baby had calmed your heart but, not your mind. Your eyes turned to Ronal as she stood up and with a look, you turned knowing she was following you. You exited the Marui and weaved between the people who didn't get in your way probably because their Tsahik was right on your heels, your tail gripping her leg to make sure she stayed close. The two of you made it past the beach, into the forest away from people, away from any prying ears. You knew you were watched all the way into the forest having spotted Neytiri, Jake, Ranari, and a few of the Metkayina you got close with. Once a safe enough distance you had let her go and put a couple of feet in between you sitting at the base of a tree and watching as she sat down across from you. You stared at her gaze never leaving hers. You took the initiative to bring her out of here now she needed to talk first.

"That's a nice necklace Ranari gave you." You smiled a bit knowing she was just trying to start a conversation with you so you allowed it.

"Yeah, it is... I was going to tell you guys but, I figured the lot of you put two and two together anyway." She nodded, her eyes never leaving the necklace. It was silent, a slow tension building between the two of you.

"I know you're angry at me." You huffed trying to curb your sarcasm but, fuck it. It was just the two of you, If you don't get it all out now it'll just fester and the last thing you want to do is embarrass her in front of the clan. She is still Tsahik and they will always defend her no matter how wrong she may be.

"No shit, what gave it away?" You squinted at her, ears pinned back in displeasure. "Was it after you threw me out the Marui calling me a liar and blaming me for something out of my control, or was it when you threw the spears at me sitting on top of my Akula Kentu?" You were hoping to be peaceful, not to explode but, you didn't realize how much anger and resentment you were holding towards her until now.

"You have every right to be angry at me...There are no words to describe how sorry I truly am, I-I tried to make it up-" You snarled stopping her in her talking as you got up to pace back and forth and she followed suit by standing up.

"You damn right I have every right to be angry at you. How the fuck do you think I felt? Huh? HOW DO YOU THINK I FELT THAT THE WOMAN I FELL IN LOVE WITH REJECTED ME IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WAY!" You watched as her eyes widened and her jaw slacked a bit but, you weren't done. You didn't care that you were screaming you had to let it out. "YOU EMBARRASSED ME RONAL! YOU CALLED ME A LIAR, YOU HURT ME, YOU CALLED ME NAMES, AND YOU TOLD ME TO DIE!" Angry tears welled up in your eyes, but you didn't care. You wanted her to see, you wanted her to hear how much she hurt you. How much damage she did do with her words and actions. "YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO GRAB ME AND THROW ME! YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO INSULT ME AND TELL ME I WAS NOTHING! I GOT TOLD THAT ALL THE TIME EVERY DAY BY OTHER NAVI I DON'T NEED TO HEAR IT FROM YOU!" Your voice was raw with emotion, anger, sadness, with defeat. She was crying and you didn't care. She needed to feel your words in her soul. "WHY WOULD YOU TELL ME TO DIE!? WHY RONAL!? WHAT HAVE I EVER DONE TO DESERVE SUCH DISDAIN FROM YOU?! HUH! TELL ME WHAT! WHY WOULD YOU EMBARRASS ME AND ACT LIKE I AM NOBODY AFTER TREATING ME LIKE I AM SOMEBODY?! I LOVE YOUR HOME! I LOVE YOUR PEOPLE! I LOVE THE ANIMALS! I LOVE YOUR CHILDREN! FUCK I LOVE YOU, I LOVE TONOWARI AND WHAT THE FUCK DID I GET AS A REWARD?!" You screeched then and ran towards her and knocked her to the ground pinning her, angry tears spilling down your cheeks onto her face mixing with her own. "I GOT TOLD TO STAY AWAY FROM YOU! I GOT TOLD IT IS MY FAULT THE SKY PEOPLE ARE HERE! I GOT TOLD I'M A DEMON, A FAKE NAVI, HOW I WILL NEVER BE ONE OF THE PEOPLE! WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN TO ME?! WHY?! WHY WOULD YOU TREAT ME SO CRUELLY?! I SAVED YOUR SPIRIT SISTER ROA! I SAVED THE TULKUNS, I SAVED YOUR HOME! I FOUGHT AN ENTIRE SHIP OF FUCKING SKY PEOPLE THOSE FUCKING DEMONS TO SAVE THE CHILDREN!" You started hitting her, and she used her arms to block your hits so you pulled her hair instead "I DIED RONAL! I DIED AND WENT TO EYWA! I FUCKING DIED! I WAS WITH EYWA I DIED FOR A CLAN WHO DOESN'T LOVE ME! I DIED FOR A FUCKING TSAHIK WHO WANTED ME DEAD!" You were sobbing now having given up hitting her, tired from screaming, your throat swollen and tasting blood on your tongue. You leaned down abruptly against her screaming into her neck from all the pent-up emotions. You were done yelling now. Tired. Exhausted. "You know what was my last thought Ronal weeks ago when Jake brought me to the beach and I died." You looked down at her, right in the eyes. "When I looked at you and smiled, I thought of how you finally got your wish." Maybe it was the dead look, maybe it was your tone, you're not sure but, something broke in Ronal's gaze.

"I'M SORRY MA Y/N" You were thrown off guard by how loud and shrill her voice went. The calm, cool, and collected Ronal whose facial expressions never showed anything but indifference, anger, and calm happiness was open and vulnerable, she looked so guilty, so hurt, so anguished it threw you for a loop. "I NEVER HATED YOU! I NEVER DID! I WAS SO ANGRY THAT I COULDN'T CONTROL THE SITUATION! I DIDN'T WANT MY PEOPLE TO DIE AND I BLAMED YOU! YOU WERE NEVER TO BLAME! NEVER!" She was sobbing, choking on her tears and spit so you slowly got off of her watching as she sprung up and grabbed your arms in a vice grip. "THOSE DAMN DEMONS WERE TO BLAME! THEY RUINED EVERYTHING AND ALL YOU DID WAS TRY TO HELP! THAT'S ALL YOU EVER DO IS HELP AND HELP BECAUSE YOU ARE A GEM, A BEAUTY, A JEWEL BLESSED BY THE GREAT MOTHER HERSELF! I LOVE YOU MA Y/N! EYWA FUCK I LOVE YOU, I ALWAYS FUCKING DID, AND I JUST- AH! I HAVE BEEN SO STUPID!" It was both refreshing and very concerning how she was reacting. It felt like you were actually seeing her for the first time and it was both enthralling and terrifying given the circumstances. The two of you sat for a minute to allow her to control her breathing so she doesn't keep screaming. "I was a fool all this time. I love how you love everyone's children, my children. Aonung never stopped talking about you and he doesn't like half the people here let alone Navi from other clans." She seemed to have remembered something at that moment gripping you again with urgency "You are Na'vi. You were once Omaticaya and now you are Metkayina. You have been Metkayina for a long time and I was too stupid and stubborn to admit it. You are not a demon, you are not a sky person. You never will be again. Your home is here. With us." She pulled you into a tight hug that you gave back. The last few days were too emotionally charged for your liking but, all of it had to happen one way or the other.

"Ronal-" She shook her head cutting you off.

"I deserve everything you say and do to me. I was not nice and it took you-" She choked on a sob but, forced herself to say it "Dying, you actually died. My Eywa when I saw you just laying there I thought that was my punishment, that was going to be my biggest regret to live with for the rest of my life. I was confident and so sure that I would have nightmares for the rest of my life because you died thinking I hated you, that the clan hated you. We didn't. I didn't. None of the ones you cared about hated you." She had let up on her bruising hold and instead was holding you close to her gently. You were sitting straddled in her lap and she was just holding you, as you held her. "I am so sorry ma Y/N. I will spend however long you want to stay here and be with us making it up to you. If anyone deserves to be loved, to be cared for, it's you Ma Y/N." It was quiet, so quiet that you could hear the soft waves of the ocean. Both of your tears dried up, hearts felt a lot lighter.

"What happened while I was gone?" You were morbidly curious. You knew she would tell the truth. She paused for a minute to gather her thoughts before talking lowly by your ear.

"No one stopped crying... Spider never left you alone for one minute, he was always with you and only left to use the bathroom and eat." You winced making a mental note to hug him a little longer and tighter when you got back. "I've never seen Ranari so upset, That's when he told us that you two were soulmates and it hurt worse. It hurt so much." You ignored the tears that dripped on your shoulder as she continued talking "If it makes you feel better, Neytiri screamed at me in front of all the people. She was hissing and even hit me once she found out what I did to you. She was mourning. Even if you haven't bonded she saw you as a mate and she was hurting. It was so much pain" You felt tears coming to your own eyes as she spoke. You were glad you saw reason and didn't beg Eywa to keep you. You were blinded by your own pain and feeling of rejection to see what was right in front of you. "Aonung was sobbing, the children were sobbing ma Y/N. They were so sad. I've never seen any of them cry so much... Jake and Tonowari prepared for the funeral and worked endlessly, barely sleeping and eating. Just worked and worked both of them passing out on top of each other... There was a sky demon left over, a fake Na'vi too weak to do much and Jake took care of him." You were crying as quietly as her. She went quiet sensing that you didn't want to hear anymore. You didn't. You truly didn't. You were going to leave and hug your family and Aonung and Tsireya to your heart's content. The rest of the Metkayina children you'll make a day just to be with them.

"I'm tired Ronal...So exhausted." She hummed in agreement rubbing nonsensical shapes on your back as she looked out at the trees. It was quiet as the two of you sat there for a while longer before deciding to get up. Once the two of you were standing she held onto both of your hands and you squeezed back. The two of you stared at each other, taking in each other's presence, each other's features. She let go of your left hand bringing her hand up to your face to hold it.

"May I kiss you ma Y/N?" Your eyes widen at the request but, all she did was wait patiently. She would pull away if you said no. You blinked and your response was to lean in and when she leaned into you, you closed your eyes feeling her lips on yours. They were soft and tasted of the Ocean, tasted of home. It was a short kiss and she pulled away with a content smile. The hand on your face caressed your cheek and under your eye. She dropped her hand and without another word pulled you along back to the Ocean, back to your new home.

This chapter got away from me in terms of length and, this will be the last emotionally charged chapter! Of course, emotions will come but, not the way this chapter and the last chapter did! Let me know what you guys think so far. I would love to see your comments and reactions.
