48 | wtf is wrong with this decade?
Monica, Hope and Lizzie continued to walk together through the labyrinth. The blonde couple walked together hand in hand, as Monica didn't ever want to let go of Lizzie.
Lizzie definitely noticed this... Monica Montgomery wasn't somebody that would ever be considered clingy... but since the girl she was falling for suddenly remembered of her existence and her feelings for her, she really didn't want to let her go.
Swinging their hands as they walked, Lizzie piped up "So, since we're trapped here, are we ever gonna talk about how you came back from Malivore and decided not to tell any of us?" She asked as Hope responded, "Sorry. I'm a little busy keeping us from being roadkill."
"Projectium Deflecta— That should protect us." Hope spoke as Monica frowned, "I don't think you have magic here." Before Lizzie added "Or you just did the spell wrong."
The Mikealson span around to face the couple, "How's that siphoning going?" She asked the Saltzman. "Okay, fine. There's obviously no magic." Lizzie answered in defeat. "And we're in some sort of death maze from hell."
"Why is it the '80s?" Monica asked, observing that they had frizzed, teased hair and very colourful outfits. "Speaking of... have you ever played Frogger?" Hope asked the girls, before they stepped onto the road to cross over, but quickly took a step back as a car quickly approached them.
The car raced through a puddle, drenching them all in water. "Ugh!" Monica groaned, before she tried to ring out her hair. Hope looked across the street before she suggested, "Let's head to that clothing store."

Jordan, Kaleb, MG and Ruby peered down at the coffin lid, of the coffin that a desiccating Sebastian was laying in.
MG and Jordan lifted the lid, and the smell caused Kaleb and Ruby to share a disgusted look. "He's real alright... but damn dude smells worse than that blood fountain."
"Shut up— your face looks like beef jerky!" MG snapped to no one in particular, at least it seemed like he'd snapped at no one but it had actually been Sebastian.
"Is he here? Tell him to talk to me." Kaleb asked, as he ignored MG's comment. "Um.. he says you have to be on, like, the same spiritual wave length." MG explained. Jordan frowned, as he couldn't see Sebastian either.
"Ruby... he says he wants to talk to you." MG suddenly said, as the werewolf raised an eyebrow, "And why would that be?" She asked skeptically.
"Because, you're a lot smarter than your friends. And kinder." Ruby span around on her heels, to see Sebastian... tall and very charming, definitely Lizzie's type. "Hello, love." The desiccated vampire greeted.
Sebastian walked around the group, "The rancid blood these two turnips bumbled on me was... inadequate. But with enough fresh blood, I will surely be restored." He said. MG crossed his arms, "Yeah. No way we're doing that."
"Not even if I can give you what you want? Hmm? Elizabeth Saltzman all to yourself. Without my competition." Sebastian suggested.
Obviously Lizzie wasn't interested in either of the guys anymore, not now that Monica was back. But they didn't know that.
"Come on guys, what's he saying?" Jordan asked the pair as he seemed interested. "Hold on. He's just getting to the good part." Ruby laughed. "Set me free, Milton, and I give you my word, I will leave this town at once."
"Well. Fresh blood can be arranged." Ruby said, contrary to what MG had just said. "What?" MG asked, looking to the Waithe, confused. "I have an idea." She insisted before she turned to Jordan.
"Jordy, can you please set a barrier spell on this room, so Sebastian can't leave." Ruby asked. Jordan frowned, "Why?" The pinkette replied, "You'll see. Just trust me."
"Man don't listen to her... she killed your father." Kaleb suddenly blurted, as Ruby's eyes widened before she turned to face Kaleb with a frown. "I'm sorry.. that slipped." He responded quickly.
"She may have... but I have forgiven her." Jordan spoke, as he gave Kaleb major side eye. It was true though, he didn't know why but he had forgiven Ruby. Likewise, Ruby didn't know why she killed Titus. The story just didn't make sense.

"We've never made it this far." Lizzie stated, before Hope stepped onto a land mine, and the trio were suddenly laying back in the grass, where they started. "A land mine? Really?" Lizzie huffed at Hope.
Monica crossed her arms, "What the fuck is wrong with this decade?" She growled impatiently as Lizzie answered, "Reaganomics? Recreational cocaine? Jams?"
"If only there was a secret or-or a clue." Hope thought about it. Monica rolled her eyes before she complained, "Unless you see a clue store around here Hope, then I don't think—" She was cut off as the Mikealson pointed out a store that had a sign on the front, saying "Clue store."
"Um what the fuck." Monica blurted out before she shook her head, "Okay then. Let's check this suspicious place out."
The three girls approached and walked into the store, as they saw the Keeper woman from earlier. She saw them and asked, "Oh, hey. Looking for something?"
"Yeah. How do we get out of here?" Hope and Monica asked impatiently and in unison. "And why are we in our grandparents' decade?" Lizzie added a curious question.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry. It's the only decade I know. Turns out you miss a lot of pop culture when guys in black suits drop you into a giant pit of goo. As for getting out of here goes, uh, you don't. You play the game until my pet feeds on you, and then you die. For reals. This game was specifically designed to kill beautiful maidens, so, I'd say it's a pretty good fit." The woman explained to the trio.
"Oh." Monica answered, in more of a disappointed grumble. "So glad we stopped in. Let's go." Lizzie spoke sarcastically, as the girls turned around to leave the store together.
"There is, um one way out." The keeper piped up, causing the trio to spin around again. "One of you agrees to take my place. Look, I was trapped here once too, okay? Just like you two, and I don't really feel like being the Keeper of the Game like, forever. So, one of you agrees to wear this bracelet, you get to be the new me. And the other one is set free." She explained to them.
"Thanks but uh no thanks." Hope laughed humourlessly at her, while Monica just rolled her eyes, "This lady is nuts." She said under her breath.
"Actually, I'm afraid there's no other option.
Yeah. You take the deal, or my pet kills you. That's the endgame." She said, before a loud roar erupted which frightened the girls. "Speak of the devil. Ah. I love this part."
The wall bursted open as a Minotaur appeared. "Holy fuck." Monica blurted out as she instantly felt her grip on Lizzie's hand tighten. The Minotaur then stormed after them. "Hurry, come on!" Hope blurted as the trio rushed out of the clue store.
After a few minutes of running, Hope panted, "Okay, I think we lost him."
"At least we finally made it out of the lame town square, no thanks to you, Captain Almost-Stepped-on-the-Land-Mine-Again." Lizzie huffed at the tribrid. "You killed us with a hair dryer. Never forget." Hope retaliated as Monica couldn't help but to giggle, though she loved the look of crimped hair on her.
"The school's up this way." Hope said, as she lead the couple towards the Salvatore school. Lizzie shrugged, "If only there were something to talk about on the way. Some burning question. Some mysterious choice that demanded an explanation." She suggested as Monica and Hope shared a glance before Hope looked to Lizzie.
"Okay, fine. I was gonna tell everyone that we were back. But then I saw Ruby and Maya... and how happy they were. It just seemed like you all were better off without me." She said sadly.
"What is wrong with you? Do you really have that much of a martyr complex that you couldn't just oh, I don't know ask one of us how we were doing?" Lizzie spat. Monica shook her head, "Look babe, I know that it seems kind of—" She was cut off as Lizzie answered, "Dumb? Selfish? Controlling?"
"Painful."
"No one's been better off without either of you. Ruby is just unknowingly using Maya to fill a void left by you, just like I have been unknowingly using Sebastian to fill a void left by Monica." Lizzie explained to the pair. "My dad is lonely. Raf's a mess again, and apparently I'm hallucinating boyfriends." She added.
"If my broken mind can remember you both, then maybe that spell Jordan did could bring everyone's memories back. You and Ruby are made for each other, Hope. You need to get back to her so that she realises that she's making a mistake with Maya." Lizzie concluded.
Hope snorted in amusement. "You hallucinated a boyfriend?" She then asked. Lizzie rolled her eyes playfully before she replied, "Tell you in a second."
