"And now, the tournament shall begin!"

After those sentences, Colby looked at the front of him. His stepbrother, Ray, looks at him with an unreadable face but his movement seems very weak. Colby was a bit hesitant to make the first step with how Ray's look.

Just as the bells ring, Colby grips the epee in his right hand. It's been a long time since he last held it before. He was once in Fencing Club but then he suddenly changed it from Fencing Club to Music Club. Ray might have the most advantage to defeat him, but he didn't mind. Since he didn't plan on winning either.

As Colby makes a sign that he is ready by putting on a mask and pointing the epee to Ray, he is surprised. Ray didn't put the mask on but he still held the epee but didn't point back at Colby. Before Colby could register what he just witnessed, suddenly Ray just ran towards Colby and tried hitting the epee on Colby.

Colby already took a step back, he looked back at Ray in shock. Ray keeps on trying to attack Colby, while Colby keeps dodging and backing away from Ray's attack. Colby was shocked by Ray's behaviour, "What the– Ray?! What are you doing?!"

He didn't get the chance to hit Ray but he worried if he hit anything on Ray. Because his dear stepbrother didn't wear any protective kit for god sake!

While dodging Ray's attack, Colby could see the audience was as surprised as him with this but some of them pull out a phone, might be recording this, and some others cheer on either him or Ray.

Colby's patience was wearing thin, just as Ray tried to attack Colby again, this time he blocked it and pushed Ray back. Ray didn't give up and only ran towards Colby to attack him. It keeps on and on as both of them either attack, dodge or back away. There's no need for a point when both of them are not on the ground and both of them still keep going, despite Colby's energy starting to drain, he is still standing.

The crowds do nothing but cheer on either side, regardless when one of them looks like they want to commit a murder. Colby kept on dodging the more Ray attack and didn't show any opening to attack.

When they are almost close to each other, there is time Colby tries to ask Ray, "Hey, what's wrong with you!?", or "Where is your protective kit? Your mask?!", or even "Ray! Are you... alright?"

Colby finally steps far away from Ray, he looks at Ray again with a disbelief and worried expression. Ray looks so tired and exhausted, almost seems like this is the longest fight he is in.

"We only have 1 more hour for the fight to end! But it's almost like our contestants have been fighting for more than just 1 hour!" Colby could hear the host's voice, and the way they sounded so shocked and excited, the crowd followed suit, "Seems like to know the winners, one of them needs to lose on just one point only! So keep on cheering dear audiences!"

No! Don't you fucking dare cheer! Colby thought as he kept dodging Ray's attacks.

Colby notices Ray's attack started to become faster and more violent than before, does all of that attack even from the fencing training?!

"Colby!" Suddenly, his name was being shouted around the arena. Colby glances at the sound, and notices Phoenix. He can see Phoenix keep shouting his name and seems to try to get past the security guards.

The security guards wouldn't let him try to get in, even an inch. Colby keeps dodging Ray's attack while still trying to process what Phoenix was trying to tell him.

"Kid, please! This is a forbidden area for you to be here!"

"Please, just let me tell Colby something! It's important!"

The conversation of the security guards and Phoenix were pushed back and forward as Phoenix seems to almost pass the security guards. Before Colby could try to warn Phoenix, he was beaten to it by Phoenix next shouting.

"Stop Ray from fighting! Something is gonna happen–"

Suddenly one of Ray's attacks manages to almost knock Colby off balance, however what Phoenix said just brings some sense to Colby. Colby looks at Ray, who seems to be exhausted and shaking. Colby lowers his epee and looks at Ray in concern and worry.

"Ray–" And just after that, a light beam was shot through his left eye. Colby's left eye. The scream was indescribable but all Colby could feel from it was pain. So much pain, agony, and suffering. Even if it's just a little light... Oh, the misery and suffering...

Colby kept on screaming and tried to hold on his left eye, his left eye that once was there, all it left was blood that tried to come out from it.

Witnessing the scene, the security guards and Phoenix were left speechless, same as the audiences in the arena. Phoenix snaps out of his mind from dazing as he goes towards Colby. He tries to calm Colby down, but the scream won't stop. Phoenix looks up at Ray, who also seems to be in shock at what he does.

It was a mess, chaos, as everyone started to shout, questioning, and confused. What's happening? What happened? Isn't everything just a game? This is not a game anymore! Everyone evacuate—

"No one can leave..." Just by hearing those sentences, Phoenix looked up at Ray but was taken back by the expression he pulled, "No one can leave... I'll make sure of it..."

Phoenix stands in front of Colby, shielding him from Ray or any attack that might try to come. Phoenix was nervous, he was scared, afraid. But Colby is in danger and doesn't have any energy after that attack...

"Ray..." Phoenix glance Colby, even at this state, Phoenix can't help but be more worry for his friend's condition, "Ray, wait, what are you trying–"

"I'll save everyone... I'll make sure, they all will be safe..." The light beam that comes from Ray's finger, slowly lighting up but not to aim. It's more like swallowing his body... The light started to cover him until it came up to his face... "I'll make sure they all are safe... Start with you..."

"NO! RAY!" Before Colby could walk towards Ray, despite the eternal pain in his left eye, the light from Ray blind everyone in the arena.
