"What'cha making there?"

I ignored the wraith beside me. They do look annoyed.

I heard the sound of footsteps outside the kitchen. I turned around and saw father walking down, looking like he was in a hurry.

"Father! Do you think you still have time to eat breakfast together-"

"Sorry, Phoenix. I have a meeting in 2 hours... I might have to stay in the office until 10:00 p.m." my father said as he quickly took a sandwich I made and ate it quickly with his car key on his other hand.

He goes to the front door and opens it, "Have a nice day at school. Don't get in trouble, love you."

Then he left, leaving me alone again...

I sigh and start to eat the breakfast I made for myself. After I finished, I started to wash the dishes and got ready to go now.

I locked my door after I got out and hid it under the flower pot.

Before starting my next line, hello, my name is Phoenix Saxon. I am a 16-year-old highschool student.

I am a new student in my new school. Last time was a disaster... Hopefully, I could get my day a better one-

"Are you done yet?"

Ah.. right...

Let me introduce you, your unfriendly-wraith-ghost-child, Nyx. Met them during my last day of my last school. I have no idea how but I met them on the rooftop. At first, I thought they were human beings but turns out...

Anyway, they won't stop following me for some reason and they didn't know it either...

All I need to do is making my life a better one and not get any troublesome thing-

"Are we there yet?"

"This is not a road trip, Nyx.."

"Yeah but I like to annoy you, are we there yet?"

This is going to be a long day...

Location: DownGolden High School / SilverUp Academy
Date: 1st March 2035
Time: 8:50 a.m.

"Welcome, freshmen, junior, senior, teachers, today would be a lovely day for our school. DownGolden High School and SilverUp Academy, we hope both of the school systems can stay in harmony and no such mess up is bloody!"

"It's gonna end up bloody.."

"Shut it, Max."

DownGolden High School and SilverUp Academy, both of these schools are combined together. According to history, the DownGolden High School's headmaster is the founder of this land but then SilverUp Academy's headmaster is the owner of this territory. Both sides fight for their right on this claim land and then both of them end up with a truce.

Until now, the two schools still stand... Or so he heard...

"You Goldilocks scum! You did this!"

"No way! How could you accuse us of something we barely can do!? Are all SilverUp a hothead people?~"

I looked up and saw a group of jocks having a fight with another.. First day is gonna be hard huh?

I try to ignored the commotion until he gets a little hit, "I'm sorry, please excuse me-"

"Colby! Don't you dare running away-"

"Shit-"

I paused and turned around to see the person I just got bump over started to run faster. Then I saw another man run past me.

I was stunned to know what I just witnessed but I just let these people deal with this 'Colby' person as I saw a girl pass me as well.

Time: 9:15 a.m.

"Get in."

I got in and saw a woman writing her paperwork. The woman notices me and stops her work as she looks up to me.

"Phoenix Saxon I assume? Come in!"

As I got in, the woman cleaned up her desk work and pulled out some documents and some paper.

"From this document, you have been expelled by your old school-"

"Actually, I chose to be expelled..."

"..." It was silent for a moment but then the woman continued, "Anyway, you have been expelled and your documents from your old school have listed some bad and good deeds you have been doing there..."

I felt a little nervous with this until the woman looked at me again, "I know you're nervous but please calm down. I have prepared some papers for you to get to know the school better and fixed some of your schedule. If you ever want to know more, you can talk to some Student Council members or some teachers around here."

"Ah, alright.. Thank you Mrs. Bellwether!"

"Your welcome, Mr. Saxon."

As I finally leave the Principal's office, I take a look at his school schedule.

'Huh, guess it's Science class first...'

As soon as I am done, I turn around to look around only to find a girl looking up at me. I quickly took a step back, almost having a heart attack.

"Woah, she just did that without letting you know she was there!" Nyx exclaimed and started to giggle, "Just look at your face! It was priceless!"

"Shut up, Nyx-"

"Are you a new student?"

I look back and the girl is still staring at me. I slowly nodded.

"So, what's your first class?" The girl asks me.

"Oh, uh, my first class are Science and it is on the 3rd floor on the west side of the-"

"DownGolden side huh..."

Well, this is awkward...

The girl is wearing a school uniform... Oh, that has just crossed my mind, the DownGolden students are all wearing their uniform but with a little casual side of it while the SilverUp students are wearing a full set of school uniforms instead...

"So you are in DownGolden, congratulations and hope you survive..." Why does she say that like I'm gonna die- "Inkuro Afuru, let me show you to your class..."

She started to walk away, I started to follow her. For someone like her, she is fast-

"Just because I'm short, doesn't mean I can't kick your ass..."

I paused, and stared at her bewildered. I gaped for a moment until she turned around, looking so deadpanned, "...Just kidding..."

This is going to end badly...

"This is the classroom," Afuru said as she turned around, "Have fun, Phoenix."

She said as she walked away, I sigh. I turned to my classroom's door and held my breath. I grab the knot and open it until-

"No way of running away this time, Inkuro!"

Suddenly a fishing net was thrown at me. I was shocked and looked towards me and saw a woman might be in her 30's? Stood in the position of her throwing. Okay, now I know who threw this...

The lady walked past me and went to the door. She opened it and looked around.

"What just happened..."

I finally was let out of the fishing net with a little help from some students in the class.

"Man, that teacher is kind of a," Nyx shows up next to me as they show up next to and start to point their finger besides their head and let out a cuckoo bird sound.

"Nyx, that's not nice-"

"Ugh! Not again!"

I turned quickly to the woman, who was the one who threw the fishing net at me, shouted. She turns to me and walks toward me, "Have you seen a girl with a tomboyish haircut with a deadpan expression before?"

"Y-yeah, she was the one who shows me the direction-"

Before I could finish, the lady let out a groan.

"I swear, that kid really does wish to be expelled..."

Okay, now I'm confused...

"Anyway, you're the new kid?" The lady said, I nodded, "Well, welcome to DownGolden High School. I am your science teacher, Mrs. Hall. Now that our class is almost starting, please take a seat."

I nodded and went to the empty seat.

"Now everyone here, let's start the lesson..."

Date: 2nd April 2035
Time: 11:07 p.m.

"Are you seriously going to your next class just after recess?" Nyx said as they groaned at me, "It's pretty obvious you don't have any friends, not to mention you don't even talk to anyone in your class!"

It's been a month since I was a new student here. One thing here I learned, if you are from DownGolden side you're gonna be blamed for every prank that has been set to SilverUp. Speaking of SilverUp, they are like a private school for you and have set a dorm for you. They can also let you have a roommate but that's a need for permission... Unfortunately, the SilverUp students that I met always end up as total jerks or just not easy to get along...

I sigh, what Nyx said was true... I was never good at communication... Even a little small talk makes me nervous... That must be why I want to be expelled from his old school...

"Mr Saxon, answer the question on the board now-"

"Poor him, it must be tough growing up without a mother..."

"Where are your parents?"

"Maybe that's why he died because you couldn't do anything-"

"Phoenix... Phoenix did this!"

"Someone call an ambulance!"

I look up to the noise I hear and in front of me is a girl, she seems drenched wet and I notice a bucket...

I noticed everyone looking in the direction of me, oh... No, not again!-

"Why you-"

"It's not me! I swear-"

"What's going on here?"

The new voice was heard, I looked over and saw the crowd gave room for the voice. The person walked over, and another person followed behind them.

The first one is a boy, he has long hair that covers the left side of his face. He also wears a uniform that resembles the SilverUp Academy but his blazer is the colour blue.

The girl next to him has an undercut hair from her right side. She also wears a uniform that resembles the SilverUp Academy but her blazer is the colour of brown.

"I don't like repeating myself, what's going on here?"

The boy said again, the girl walked past him as she inspected around the area.

"A prank mayhaps?~" the girl said as she held up a bucket.

The boy sighs and looks at the drenched girl, "It's alright, we handle this. You from SilverUp Academy right?" The drenched girl nodded, "You can go to your dorm and rest there, I will tell your next class teacher where you are."

"T-thank you, Nicholas!-"

"It's alright. Everyone's in here!" Nicholas, the boy, assured the girl and then he shouted, "Go back to your class! My sister and I handle this! This is none of your concern now!"

The crowd started to disappear and the girl that drenched walked past me but not before she whispered something to me, 'You're lucky the council here, but it better be them than Ray...'

What...

I look at the drenched girl as she walks away. Before I could go, Nicholas stopped me, "You, new kid. You're coming with us."

...Why me!?

"So you're not the one who set the prank?"

"Yes," I answered, "And is this really necessary?"

As I said, I am being put in a lie detector machine and it shows a result of my heartbeat to show if I'm lying or not.

"Well, just a... precautions..." Nicholas said as he walked to Nicole -who I just learned the girl's name and also a sister of Nicholas- to check the result, it's the same and shows I am telling the truth.

"Well, can I go now?"

Before Nicholas could say anything, suddenly the door opened revealed a guy with blonde hair. He also seems to be in SilverUp Academy, his blazer is crayola lemon yellow. The iris of his eyes are bright yellow.

He looks around the room and notices me, "What's going on here?"

"This kid is a suspect of the prank set-"

"It was Colby."

A new voice interrupted Nicholas, a girl came with another guy she pulled. Wait, that girl-

"Afuru?!"

Everyone stares at me, the blonde boy looks at Afuru, "You know him?"

Afuru looks at me, she shows no sign of remembering, "Do I look like I would remember someone that I don't want to remember?"

"So you do know him," the blonde boy said, Afuru gives him a look, "That's not a question, Inkuro. That's a statement."

"I don't need you to tell me otherwise, my prince."

"If you both are gonna flirt, then the wedding better be great before I crash it."

A guy that Afuru pulled suddenly said something. The blonde boy looked at him in exasperation.

"We're not getting married or anything, Colby..." Another meaning of saying 'she's not my girlfriend'.

Afuru rolled her eyes, then she looked at me.

I suddenly felt nervous.

"Anyway, you," the blonde boy said as he looked at me, "You can go back to your class. Sorry for bringing you here..."

"It's okay! This is not the first time anyway..." I smile nervously as I get up from my seat.

"'Furu! Take a look at the results of this guy's lying detector!" Nicole said.

"Maybe another time, I want to get back to class..." Afuru answered.

"If I heard another report from the teacher that you skip class again, I swear I'm gonna make you do my paperwork after this."

"Anything for you, my prez." Afuru said as she bowed to the blonde boy as if he was a king.

Colby, the guy that set the prank, made a gagged noise.

I go to the front door to get out of the room, same goes to Afuru. As the door closed behind them, I looked at Afuru.

She does not say anything but instead pulls out a cigarette as she lights it up.

"Don't you think you're too young to smoke?"

"Don't you think you're too young to tell me that?"

"...How old are you?"

Afuru looked at him as she inhaled the cigarette, "I'm going to be 15 on December 25th..."

'I'm 1 year older than you!?'

I gives her a look before I show a smile sheepishly, "Thank you for helping me-"

"Since when did I help you?"

I stopped after Afuru said that, Afuru turned to me, "The Student Council job is just to make sure the school is run in order and nothing falls apart, of course the teacher is also responsible for that but as a Student Council, we are the second leader that needs the students to be corporate..." After she said that, she destroyed the light on the cigarette, "A fair warning, do not come across something that is considered dangerous to humanity..."

Then she walked away, leaving me behind.

I still looked at her from behind, then Nyx came out from behind me, "Jeez, what a freak!"

"Speak for yourself," I sigh as I look at Nyx in exasperation. I still look at the direction of where Afuru walks away.

"Hey, don't you think class is about to end?"

"Pfft-"

"Shut your mouth, Nyx..."

"Whatever you say, oh my dear Phoenix!~"
