{Little Shadow.}

Hiya! So yes as below you can see this part of the story is taking two years ago the last chapter. I didn't want to make a sequel since the sequels to this series (Sliver Jaguar Series) actually tells stories of different Jaguars. So I decided to not make another book and just have in this story. This whole story is all about Thalia so yup. Enjoy! Also this part of the story gonna be a little more of an adult story then young adult.

Over Two Years Later.

I haven't cut my hair in awhile. Well, four months but my hair quickly grows. I grabbed a pair of scissors and parted my hair. I cut my hair in a blunt line and shook my curly hair that now again goes pasted my shoulders by an inch. Having so much hair and being a Jaguar wasn't such a good thing.

Little Shadow laid down on the lid of the toilet next to me. He was a black cat with a white patch of fur under his neck and had the most amazing blue eyes. I saved him when he was a kitten from those hellions Jaguars who were killing the abandoned kittens. I just made in on time before the ate Little Shadow and rescued him. He reminded me so much of a tiny version of me with that dark fur and pretty eyes but only he had that white patch under his neck. I named him Little Shadow because he follows me everywhere! He's like my shadow so it only made sense to name him Little Shadow. He didn't seem to complain.

I faced him, "So what do you think? Groom myself nicely?"

He lifted his head up and meowed at me in approval. I turned back to the bathroom mirror and smeared some red lipstick on. I outlined my eyes to make them pop a little more.

"Thalia, you should be moving your ass!" Aunt Hala yelled from the living room. "You're parents are probably already waiting for you. You should be heading now."

I rolled my eyes before I walked out of the bathroom with Little Shadow next to me. I grabbed my military jacket from the hook and threw it on. I had one dark jeans and white crop top. "I'm sure they won't." I said I opened the door to the apartment.

"Hey! Are you coming tonight to the club? You do remember Roy is giving you a chance tonight to work with me?" she asked from the kitchen.

I turned to face him, "Yes Aunt Hala, I remember. Don't worry, I'll be there. Come on Little Shadow." I said to him and he stepped out of the apartment. I closed the door behind me and went over to the elevator. People were inside when the doors opened and I picked my cat up into my arms as I went in. It smelled in the elevator and I'm sure it was coming from the hippie looking guy behind me who smell liked he needed a shower. I could feel his eyes on my eyes so I turned around, "Hey, eyes up." I said and Little Shadow hissed at him. Little Shadow loves me.

The hippie chuckled, "You're nice and full down there, sweetie." He had the nerve to grab my bottom as the door opened, "You're boyfriend must be proud." he said. I grinned him before I sent my fist out. It stuck him under his eye and he hit the wall of the elevator. The people inside with us gasp in surprise.

"That isn't how you talk to a lady, asshole." I said before I stepped out and left the apartment building. God, why did I ever think moving to New York City was such a good idea? The men-human at least-weren't such pigs in Chicago as they are here.

I set Little Shadow down and he followed right next to me. People found it so strange usually how a cat is following me or how I trained him. It wasn't hard, I just told him to stay next to me and he did. When he used the bathroom next to his litter box I gave him a hard tone to scare him a little and he always used his litter box now when he's home like a good boy.

I walked down the street towards the diner and when I got there I told Little Shadow to go explore since he couldn't come inside. He jumped up on some trash to the roof and further up. I went inside the building where I saw my parents at the back of the diner.

A waitress came over but I went passed her with a friendly smile, "I'm just meeting some people. Thank you though." I said politely. I made the smile quickly disappear as I went over to the back and fell down in the booth. "Sorry I'm late, I got up late. I was up last night at the club with Aunt Hala."

My dad brought his coffee up to his mouth, "What happened to that night job at gas station?"

I bit my lower lip, "Co-worker hands got to friendly and he ended up in the hospital. Doesn't matter, Aunt Hala said Roy giving me a chance I could work with her. Mostly Jaguars, not harm."

"Thalia," my mom said, looking at me with concern. "Those clubs, I don't like them or that thought of you going to them."

"Then let me come back to live with you." I said but they remained quiet. I sighed heavily as I pushed my hair back behind my ears, "It's been over two years, I think they got over it. I been living here in the city for seven months and they haven't figured it out. I think Peter just gave up and Ander probably married already. They found me in Chicago but we quickly left before they could do anything."

A waitress came over and we ordered some food. My dad waited until the lady left to speak, "Thalia, you might be right but I don't wanna risk it."

"You never wanna risk anything." I coldly said. "When the last time you saw Kavan, huh? He tells me four months."

My dad rolled his eyes and my mom lowered her head, "Kavan and your dad got in a fight. Thalia, we live in the same state and we try to come see you both as much as possible. Soon we're hoping once our contact goes to Wisconsin and see that their there."

Ileanedmy chin against the palm of my hands as I looked out the window, "Alright. I just. . .miss you guys. Aunt Hala great, she gives me allot of freedom but I miss my parents."

"We miss you too." my dad said softly. "You been on such good behavior mostly and we're happy about that."

It was quiet now as I watched out the window of the busy street. In the beginning, it was hard to adjust to everything. It was just like another world like Kavan said and it was pretty scary to live in the city. My whole life we lived in small rural towns. In the cities, there was allot of Jaguars and they weren't friendly. I made sure to learn who to stick around and not to stick around. Slowly but surely-like I said I would-I quickly learned the life of a city Jaguar with much help of Aunt Hala. She supported me allot and I can't thank her enough. I had freedom, I finally had freedom.

It was good in the beginning, I was doing things I wanted. I hadn't gone back to school but I worked allot and toughed up from that small town Jaguar girl to a city one. I was just a more calm Jaguar then the others.

I kept myself busy allot. It helps allot to not think about Rian but at nights when I'm alone I found myself thinking of him. I wondered what he was doing and if he was thinking about me. In the beginning, it was hard to deal without wanting to run back to him until after awhile. I came to the conclusion I might have been in love with him but how crazy would that be since I hardly knew Rian?

The rest of the time with my parents was mostly quiet with a few simple questions like who cut my hair or if I needed any money. I refused to take money from them since I can earn my own. When we finished eating my dad paid and we left the diner. I hugged them tightly before they went over to the van I had spent allot of my life in and they drove back to the small town four hours away.

Little Shadow jumped down off the building and came next to me, "Hungry?" I asked and he just nodded. The people walking passed looked at me strangely but being a cat myself, Little Shadow understood me. We have that special bond. He's my little companion.

Little Shadow and I walked to the park where he jumped on the trees to catch some birds that were sitting on the branches. He sneaked up behind them like a predator. I would never feed Little Shadow that disgusting cat food when he could have fresh food. As long as he gets them himself, he can eat whatever he wants.

I sat on the fountain ledge as I watched him hunt. He stalked up behind the black bird who wasn't aware of Little Shadow until it was to late. He tried to flap his wings but Little Shadow grabbed the bird and sank his fangs into the bird.

When he was finishing eating he ran over towards me but when he jumped up towards me I moved and he fell into the fountain. He wasn't very happy he climbed out, shaking his fur and gave me a cold look. I shrugged, "I'm wearing a white shirt and you have blood on you. You needed a bath anyways." I'm literally talking to a cat-which wasn't so strange to me anymore-since I had no friends. I stuck to myself, didn't make friends with humans or Jaguars. Aunt Hala mostly working and enjoying her own life.

I saw something in the corner of my eyes that caught my attention. I turned my head to look across the field at a concession stand three guys buying food. They appeared to be in some college students since they looked to old to be in high school. I was about to turn my head away when one of them turned around since his back was facing me with a sub in his hand. My blood went cold at the appearance of the guy because he looked so much Florian Stark.

The boy was a big taller and more muscular then Rian who was normal height and weight. His hair was styled by being pushed back. He wore normal blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a sleeveless jean vest with a gray hoodie. His skin was tan where Rian was sorta of pale but that because it was in the middle of winter. Even from here, I could see those bright glassy green eyes.

He laughed along with his two friends. He brought the sub up to his mouth and took a bite of it. I didn't realize I had started walking towards him until I saw a group of girls coming over to the guys and I paused dead in my tracks. I remembered I should never get in contact with Rian so I quickly turned around and ran the other way.

I felt a pair of eyes on my back and I made the mistake of turning my head around.Rian was looking my way with a confused look on his face and he squinted a little. I took in a sharp breath as I felt my eyes turn silver and turned my head back, making my legs go faster.

*

I was lost in thought thinking about earlier when Dawn grabbed my arm and pushed me away from her, "Wake up, Thalia." she said coldly as she went over to the fridge and grabbed four beer bottles. She went back over to the Jaguar man and handed them their beer. Another guy came over, ordering a drink.

Aunt Hala came over, "Thalia, what's the matter? Last night on your test run you were great. These animals need their drinks."

"Who you calling animals?" a Jaguar man asked, grinning at us. He reached over the bar and tried grabbing Aunt Hala but she grabbed him and slammed him down against the bar.

"No touching, can't you read?" she angrily asked, pointing at the sign on the wall before letting him go. He just laughed and ordered a beer. I went back over to the bra where a Jaguar girl was and she ordered this blue drink so I quickly made her something. I made myself not think about earlier and seeing Rian by serving drinks to Jaguars and humans.

The club was mostly a hang out for Jaguars where humans think it's just a club. Jaguars no the rules though and the rules are no killing humans in Roy place. If a Jaguar start to get to feisty he or she is kicked out immediately. The Reggae song played loudly in the club as people around danced and had a blast. It wasn't a dream job but it did give me allot of money. Aunt Hala always came home with about three hundred dollars a night dressing in those nice clothes.

Dawn squealed loudly I'm guessing her boyfriend showed up. She reached over and kissed him hard on the mouth. Dawn was only about a year older than I was with beautiful olive skin and long dark curly hair. Roy caught her and told her to get back to work.

I felt her boyfriends eyes on me as I served drinks and got my tips. I gave him a cold look before I grabbed a bottle of Corona for the man. Her boyfriend came over towards me, "Are you the new girl? God your god damn gorgeous."

I leaned my hands against the counter, "What would you like to drink?"

He pointed at a drink behind me, "A shot of them for me and you."

"I don't drink, sorry." I told him as I grabbed the bottle and shot glass. I poured him a shot and he drank it quickly. He ordered a few more, slamming the shot glass down every time before he asked for a glass of beer. I grabbed large cup and started pouring him some beer he asked for. When I placed it in front of him, he grabbed me by my waist before his hands groped my ass and pulled me towards him. I gave him a cold look, pushing him away. I growled at him as my eyes turned silver and his eyes turned reddish-yellow. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him over the bar. I leaned him backwards and slammed his back against the counter. The Jaguars around laughed at him.

"Whoa!" Dawn yelled as she rushed over and pulled us apart.

"You're boyfriend likes to get very touchy, doesn't he?" I coldly asked her.

She glared at her boyfriend before smacking him and called over Jimy, a bodyguard, and kicked her boyfriend out. I rolled my eyes since it wasn't unexpected since Jaguar man were assholes. At least ones like Dawn boyfriend. I continued with what I was doing, the time passing very quickly.

Kavan finally showed up and he came over to the bar, "Hey Thalia." he said.

I leaned against the counter, "Hey. I didn't think you'll show up tonight."

He grinned, "And miss you make a fool out yourself? Well I guess I wasn't very right since you seem to be fine. Always surprising me."

"You know I always love being right." I said, grinning as I stood up. He ordered a bottle of modelo and he kept me company as I continued to serve drinks. "You should have came with me earlier. Mom and down were in the city."

He rolled his eyes, "And have dad tell me when he was my age he was married and had me already? I don't need to hear bullshit like that right now. You promised to stay single forever so they turned their attention towards me." he said, bringing the bottle of beer up to his mouth. "One of us need to give them a damn grandbaby, maybe they'll leave us alone. I'm pretty sure that's what they want."

I laughed at his comment, "Well you're the oldest, you need to have a kid before me but haven't you heard? I'm a nun."

He laughed, "Maybe that's why they were so afraid you living in the city. You'll go buck wild and get pregnant, be a single mother, and do allot of crazy shit."

"I'm young, not stupid." I said, rolling my eyes.

Dawn went over towards my brother with a big smile on her face, "You must be Kavan! You sure are handsome." she said, leaning down against the counter on her crossed arms where her breast were pushed up in full bloom for Kavan to notice. I rolled my eyes and laughed as Kavan stuttered a little before he got his shit together and spoke to her.

I pulled the handle down for a young girl draft beer when I noticed someone in the back. I lifted my head up to see another familiar face. My blood went cold as the glass fell out of my hand and I let go of the handle. My eyes turned silver at the sight of Ander across the club unaware I was here. Him and I recognized the two men next to him as his Olmec cousins.

Kavan turned his head around and saw Ander also. I was pulled away from site by Aunt Hala and she grabbed my jacket, "You have to go." she said. She pulled me over towards the entrance, "You got straight home. Understand? He hasn't noticed yet." I quickly pulled my jacket on as I walked towards the door. I was looking down at the zipper I was struggling to get out when I bumped into someone.

"Watch it!" I coldly said as I looked up to see I ran into the first familiar face.

Rian looked down at me for a second before his eyes widen and I started to go around him but he quickly grabbed my waist. "Thalia!" he breathed out heavily. I turned my head around to look in the club, scared Ander might show up near the door. I grabbed Rian by his jean vest and dragged him away.
