Co-Operation

"Why are you doing this?! Let me go!" Seán pleaded to the symbiote as he fought to regain control of his body while they ran through the city, people scrambling out of the way screaming when they saw his face.

"Not yet, there's someplace I have to go first." Anti replied calmly, only making Seán's desperation grow as he thought of how Mark had been controlled by him before.

"NO!"

Seán managed to free half of his face from behind the mask of Anti, his revealed sapphire blue eye sparkling with tears in the dying rays of the setting sun as he struggled to get rid of Anti.

"Do you not want Signe back or your biological family found?" Anti prompted with a tinge of anger in his voice as he sunk back into Seán's skin, allowing the Irishman to control his body once more so he could hide away from the people starting to take their phones out.

"I..." Seán trailed off as he thought of Signe, the memory of her still an open wound in his heart and the sound of her laugh still echoing in his ears.

"Ah, you don't remember much of your family...shame that their location is unknown." Anti spoke up tauntingly.

"What do you know?" Seán countered in a dangerously low voice, his back pressed against the back of a building while his fingers were curled into fists at his side.

"The building that I was heading towards is called New Life Foundation, they have other buildings just like it all over the world." Anti responded coyly without answering Seán's question.

"What does that have to do with my family?!" Seán blurted impatiently, the hero pacing up and down the alley with his hands shoved in his pants pockets.

"They've taken in several...volunteers for testing, and according to the records I found when I hacked the Avengers' computer before finding you, all of your family is there." Anti explained slowly as if speaking to a child.

"Wait, you-"

"ENOUGH QUESTIONS!" Anti yelled in exasperation, causing Seán to instantly fall silent.

"Now, I know Signe isn't there, but finding your family is a start to keeping my end of the promise." Anti continued in a slightly calmer tone.

What fucking promise is he talking about? Seán wondered as he started to move out of the alleyway.

"There's nothing much that I need from you spider-boy," Anti spoke up, startling Seán out of his thoughts.

"You're just going to be my vessel for the rest of your life."

"What? I-"

Seán felt something inside him pull him towards the ground and pin him there face first, the Irishman unable to move despite his struggling.

"Did I fucking stutter?" Anti growled coldly, letting Seán go after a moment.

"What I said wasn't a request, it was a fact. You should be grateful that I'm choosing to help you find your precious girl toy and your real family." Anti added in a bitter tone.

"I don't want your help!" Seán snapped, his blood running cold as he watched Anti's inky black form start to ooze out of the skin on his arm, allowing Seán to see Anti's face for the first time.

The symbiote had vibrant green eyes that glowed on what Seán assumed was Anti's face, a toothy grin spread to either side.

"You want to save the world, don't you spider-boy? There's other symbiotes that can escape if you don't listen to me." Anti remarked, sending shivers down Seán's back as his mouth moved.

"Okay, okay! What do I do now?" Seán asked irritatedly, hiding his fear the best he coyuld so he could focus on stopping the other symbiotes.

"Sign up to be a volunteer at the New Life Foundation, I'll take care of the rest." Anti assured Seán, the Irishman wincing as he pictured the psychotic grin Anti probably had stretched across his face in that moment while he hesitantly walked towards the skyscraper looming menacingly in front of him.

"Alright, I have some good news, and I have some bad news." Mark announced while staring intently at the blue holographic tablet in his hands, his eyes flicking up to look at the others in the room.

Felix, Mark, and Tyler were all gathered in the med bay around Robin's bed, Felix perched on the end of the bed while Mark and Tyler stood off to the side close to the door.

"Alright, bad news first then." Felix grumbled reluctantly, his gaze never leaving Robin's chest as it rose and fell with every shallow breath.

"I've been scanning the news reports, and I haven't seen anything that could lead us to Seán." Mark admitted in defeat as he switched off the device and lowered it to his side.

"That's good news for him." Felix muttered under his breath.

"Felix-"

"I'll kill that son of a bitch for what he did to my brother!" Felix interrupted Tyler with a roar of anger, his blue eyes burning with fury as he glared at Tyler.

"Anti was the one that hurt him, not Seán! Besides, the good news is that Robin's going to be okay, he just needs rest now." Mark interjected soothingly, the tablet lowered to his isde as he gazed into his Swedish friend's eyes.

"He's the only family I have left...I can't lose him." Felix whispered, his voice cracking slightly  with barely restrained sorrow as he glanced at Robin's steady heart rate on the monitor, his hand moving across the bed to rest on Robin's hand.

Mark and Tyler were silent as they left the med bay to discuss other methods they could use to find Seán, neither male sure how they could search the entire city with Felix threatening to kill Seán if he was found and Robin badly injured.

"What do we do now?" Tyler whispered to Mark as he gently closed the door behind them to block their conversation from Felix's ears.

"Captain America and Iron Man left to deal with the Thanos crisis and the other Avengers are with them, so we have to figure this out ourselves." Mark sighed wearily as he ran a hand through his unkempt raven black hair.

Tyler opened his mouth to reply, but was interrupted when his phone vibrated in his pocket, the brown haired male quickly retrieving his phone and activating it with eyes wide in shock mixed with fear.

"I think I know where Seán is." Tyler announced in quiet disbelief as he handed Mark his phone.

On the screen was a video of Seán that was posted on social media, the Irishman shown running through the city with incredible speed covered in a familiar black ooze that hid his entire body.

But what scared Mark the most was the vibrant green eyes that stared into the camera for a brief moment, Anti's blood red tongue flicking out in between razor sharp rows of teeth that were spread in a grin before he disappeared into a nearby alley.
