Once you got back the the tower you quickly placed the offending agents into the towers containment cells. You noticed all the other agents you and Loki had taken out were there as well. All of them looking a little worse for were.

You wondered briefly as to how they got into the containment cells. They certainly wouldn't have placed themselves inside. So you just assumed this was Loki's doing.

You sure hoped he was still in the tower.

After you gave them a few threats, and scolded them for being so stupid for trying to take you and Loki on in the Avengers tower, you left to hopefully to go find Loki.

You dropped your confident manner when no one could see you and ran to the elevator. "Come on." You mumbled as it began to take you up to the roof, where you last left Loki. "Can't you go any faster?"

The elevator finally took you all the way to the roof and you ran out. "Loki?" You called as you looked around. But no one answered. No one seemed to be there.

Eclipse flew to the top of the roof. He didn't fit inside the elevator so he had to use the roof, balconies, and the giant open windows that were made just for him.

"Have you seen Loki?" You asked Eclipse, teetering on the edge of panic. Loki was your main priority, not catching the bad guys. Why did you think it was a good idea to fly off after them?

Eclipse gave you a small roar. Looking up at you with concern. He didn't know who you were looking for. He had never even met Loki before.

"We need to find him." You told Eclipse urgently, as you climbed onto his back. "He was my responsibility."

Eclipse may not have known who you needed to find, but he did know this was important to you. He nodded then jumped off the side of the tower, gliding down to the balcony that was connected to the living room.

You didn't even wait for Eclipse to land. Once he got close enough for you to jump off you did. You landed on your feet and ran inside. "Loki!?" You yelled again scanning the ginormous living room.

Nothing.

"Loki!?" You tried again. This time jogging through the room, searching for him.

"Loki!?"

"I'm right here." Came and annoyed voice from the kitchen.

You ran over to the kitchen to see Loki peacefully leaning on the counter enjoying his pizza you made for him. He was back into his comfortable Asgardian tunic, with no more but a few scratches from the previous fight.

Once you saw him you physically sagged with relief. "You scared me." You told him as you gave yourself a chance to breath.

Eclipse came up behind you to see who you were so worried over.

"I thought you left." You told him. "Then I would have to explain how I lost a whole god. That conversation would not have gone over well."

"I couldn't have left." Loki told you, his voice cold and calm. You looked at him confused as to what he meant.

Of course he could have left. He had his power back. He could literally teleport away, never to be seen again. He didn't even want to be here in the tower.

"Something has sparked my interest." Loki supplied, though he was annoyed that he had to explain anything to you. "I did not have any knowledge that the Avengers had a pet dragon."

You looked back at Eclipse who gave you an equally confused look.

"So your telling me the only reason you stayed was because of Eclipse?" You asked Loki, turning back to him.

"To my knowledge the dragons went extinct hundreds of years ago. I have only ever read about them in books and scrolls. So yes. The dragon is the only reason I stayed." Loki told you matter of factly, never losing his calm cold demeanor.

"Well at least he stayed." You told Eclipse with a shrug. Your stomach then growled, reminding you that you didn't have lunch, and that you were hungry. You walked passed Loki to the pizzas. As you walked passed him you punched him in the shoulder, not hard, but just enough that he would feel it.

With all of his rude behavior around the tower, mostly aimed towards you, he was lucky you didn't kick him in the shin. You may have been a little upset with him, about the thought of him just leaving and never coming back.

"Ow." Loki said blandly, though it was more of a statement than anything else. "What was that for?"

"Your brother told me you like to make illusions of yourself to trick people into thinking your are here when you really are somewhere else entirely." You told Loki, an incident smile on your face. "I was just making sure you are actually here."

Loki gave you a cold glare but you shrugged it off with no problem. You took a plate and some pizza before going over to the kitchen table. You usually like to eat in the living room on the couches. But with the fires and explosions, the living room was a complete disaster zone.

That was until you saw it.

"The living room..." you told Loki, staring at it in shock.

"What about it?" Loki asked you blandly, his tone of voice completely uninterested.

"It's as good as new." You told him still shocked. The last time you checked the room had scorch marks everywhere from were you had set it on fire.

"Did you seriously expect me to eat in a blown up living room?" Loki asked you. "I am a prince."

"You cleaned it up?" You asked him, turning around giving him a knowing smile. Maybe he wasn't as bad as he liked to let on.

"What are you implying mortal?" Loki asked you, a snarl to his words. He was not going to be called nice by a small inferior mortal.

"Nothing." You told him, never losing your knowing grin. "I just wanted to say thank you."

"Yeah well, I only did it for me." Loki told you. "This place is already rubbish. There is no need for it to look worse than it already is."

You rolled your eyes at him before going over to your usual couch. Happy it was back in place, and not scorched. Eclipse fallowed you laying down at your feet once you got settled.

"You know," you told Eclipse, not bothering to keep your voice down. "I think Loki did all this to be nice."

Eclipse purred. He always liked it when you talked to him.

"I can hear you." Loki growled at you from in the kitchen.

"He can't hear us." You told Eclipse, a smile in your voice, enjoying annoying Loki. "This is a private conversation."

You woke up the next morning to an urgent call from Stark.

"Hello?" You asked as you sleepily picked up your phone. It was five in the morning, obviously you were tired.

"(Y/n) good you picked up." Tony's voice was urgent. It sounded like he was stressed out of his mind.

"What's so urgent that you had to wake me up at five?" You asked him, your sleep fogged mind making it difficult for you to think.

"There is going to be an attack on the tower." Tony explained. "The mission was a set up. They're after Loki. We are coming as fast as we can. We will most likely be back by the end of the day. Keep the tower on lock down."

"They already attacked." You told Tony. "Me and Loki took them down yesterday. Now if you excuse me I'm going back to bed." And with that you hung up before crashing back to sleep.

The next morning you and Eclipse flew down to the main balcony to go to the living room. You walked in through the outside doors to see Loki in his usual spot reading.

"Hey." You greeted him as you walked up, Eclipse walking behind you.

Loki lazily marked his spot in his book before looking up at you. "What do I owe the pleasure to?" He asked you. You usually just said hi before making you and him something to eat in the morning. You hardly ever walked up to him without some kind of peace offering in your hand. The peace offering was usually food.

"I was wondering if you would like to go out for breakfast today." You told him cutting straight to the chase. You never liked beating around the bush, always just saying what you meant. Sometimes that got you in trouble but you never really cared. "You've been locked up in this tower for a whole week. I would think it would be fun to actually get out and do something."

"Would the team approve?" Loki asked you with a bit of a snarl in his voice. Both of you knew the answer to that.

"No." You told him. "But the team isn't here right now, and I think it would be good to take you out of the tower."

"How can you trust me to behave?" Loki snarled. "I'm a war criminal remember?"

"You've  had that stupid Stark tech off your wrist for a whole day and you still haven't done anything to show me not to trust you." You told him simply.

Loki gave you a look that told you he did not believe you completely. It was one thing to not limit his powers in the tower, but a completely different thing to take him out of the tower with all his powers. There had to be a reason to picked today to take him out of the tower.

"The team is coming back later tonight." You told Loki, "I just want them to believe that you are capable of trust. If I took you out of the tower, with you having access to your full powers, they would have no choice but to give you a second chance." All you wanted was a second chance for Loki.

Sure, he was annoying. And he did tease you all the time. But yesterday you saw that he could be trusted. He had your back when the agents came in. He didn't leave when you left him alone. And he never once used his powers in anyway to harm you. He just didn't want to be here.

"If you don't want to I will happily make you breakfast here." You told him giving into his wishes. If he didn't want to go out you wouldn't make him. "I just wanted the team to see you the way I saw you yesterday. As an ally." You could hear the defeat in your voice as you left Loki be. You started to walk away from him before he called out to you.

"You saw me as an ally?" He asked you, his voice careful and calm. It wasn't cold like all the other times he had addressed you. No. This time it was like he was scared of your answer.

You turned to look at him. "Yes." You told him simply, keeping eye contact with him.

He studied your face. Your words. Like he was looking for something. In that moment he looked so broken. So lost. Like he could never believe a little human could see him as an ally. "You trust me?" Loki asked you, and this time you could see the actual heart break. He could never imagine someone, anyone, trusting him.

"Yes, Loki." You told him, your voice calm and confident.

He looked at you for a moment before he nodded. "You are a brave little mortal." He informed you like you didn't already know that. "And if the offer still stands, I would love to go on this outing with you."

You gave Loki a bright smile. Your heart rising to your throat. Loki had actually given you a chance to become his friend. He actually let you see him for who he was. Even if it was just a snippet. "That's great!" You told Loki, not bothering to keep the joy from your voice. "Ok next question; How do you feel about flying?"
