Just like predicted Loki did voice his distaste for the room he had been given. Telling Thor that it was pathetic and poorly made. He then went on to tell Thor how inferior everything was compared to the luxuries they have on Asgard. And how his cell in the palace dungeons was more comfortable than his room in the Avengers tower.
Thor, despite his brothers negative attitude, was extremely happy about Loki living in the Avengers tower. He had high hopes that his brother would eventually come around. He wanted Loki to love the human race just like he did. He wanted to show his younger brother that other species were intelligent and respectable just like Asgardians. And the main part of Thor's plan to get Loki to like the humans was to make you Loki's friend.
This led to you getting yourself roped into extremely strange situations. Usually without your knowledge before hand. One time Thor tried to demonstrate how cool and strong humans could be. To try to show Loki that not all humans are weak and inferior beings.
How did he do this?
Well, he pick you up off your couch you were relaxing on and threw you over his shoulder. He then went out onto the balcony with you and promptly threw you off the side of the tower.
What he was trying to show Loki? You had no idea.
On the way down you yelled "I CAN'T FLY !!!!"
Thor then remembered that Eclipse was off world, and he had just thrown you to your death. Luckily for the both of you Thor could fly on his own.
He jumped off the tower and flew down to you as fast as he could. Saving you right before you hit the ground and became a human pancake.
He flew you back up the side of the tower and set you down gently, back on your feet, on the balcony. Thor tried to apologize to you but you wouldn't let him. Instead you slapped him. Hard. Then stomped back inside the tower.
This gave Loki a good laugh. But other than that didn't change Loki's mind about humans in the slightest. All he saw was his brother throw a helpless weak human off the tallest building in New York. Then save said human right after.
All of Thor's failed attempts to show Loki how cool humans can be were ruining your attempts to actually get to know the younger god and become friends with him. Every time you tied to do something nice for Loki you were greeted with snarky remarks. They were usually about one of the latest incidents involving Thor.
You tried connecting with Loki over books. This failed miserably because he kept turning the conversation around on how you couldn't fly. Every other sentence that came out of his mouth was a reference to the time Thor yeeted you off the side of the tower.
You then tried making your favorite dessert for Loki. Thor told you Loki had a notorious sweet tooth, so you made 'better than anything cake' for him. This turned into him commenting on the time Thor brought a troll into your room for you to train.
Who trains trolls?
This however, turned into you running around the whole tower trying to catch the little guy. While he was in the tower he managed to steel everyone's socks. But only the left ones.
What Thor was thinking with this one? You, again, could not say.
You trained dragons not trolls.
You even tried to talk to Loki during weapons training. This turned into Loki reminding you of the time Thor thought you were fire proof. That day did not end well.
On the bright side Loki thought all of your miss-haps were hilarious. That... that was the only bright side.
Thor was making you look like an absolute looser. While you were just trying to be nice to his younger brother so you could get to know him better. And on top of all that it had only been one week since Loki moved into the tower.
Thor managed to get you to look like a complete fool in one week flat! Not even you could do that to yourself.

It was Sunday night and you went to Thor's room to talk to him about the dilemma you were facing. Thor couldn't keep using you to try and show Loki that humans could be just as cool as Asgardians.
One, you were sick and tired of looking like a fool.
And two, you had your senior year of high school to worry about. You couldn't have Thor randomly throwing you out of windows all year while you tried to study for tests. That just wasn't going to happen.
"Great (y/n) your here!" Thor exclaimed excitedly when he opened his bedroom door. He was in red flannel pajama pants and a plain white t-shirt. "Just the person I was wanting to talk to. I have the perfect plan to make Loki see just how awesome humans can be."
"Yeah about that..." You cut in awkwardly, rubbing the back of you neck nervously. "I don't think any of your plans..." You stopped, rethinking what you were going to say. "I love how passionate you are about your brother living here, its just... Maybe your going about it the wrong way?" When Thor didn't say anything you continued with your terrible, long winded explanation. "You are trying to show Loki that humans aren't some weak inferior beings. But maybe we should let Loki find that out for himself..."
"Are you saying you don't what to deal with Loki anymore?" Thor asked you heart broken. All he wanted was for Loki to like humans just like he did. He wanted something, anything that he could connect with Loki over. To try and rebuild their brotherly relationship. Him and Loki were so different in so manny different ways. All Thor wanted was have his little brother back.
"That's not what I'm saying Thor." You told him gently. "I'm just saying that, you trying to show how cool I am to Loki, so you can finally connect with your brother isn't working. Yeeting me off the tower is not going to change Loki's mind about humans."
"Yeeting?" Thor asked you, unfamiliar with that word. You just waved off his question.
"Can you just trust me that I know what I'm doing?" You asked Thor. "Let me try to get to know your brother before you start putting unrealistic expectations on the both of us."
Thor sighed heavily, and you couldn't help but feel bad for the guy. You knew you would be just as impatient if you were in Thor's shoes. Wanting to get back your sibling relationship as fast as you could. "Very well lady (y/n). We will do it your way."
You breathed a sigh of relief at that. You didn't know how much longer you could have handled Thor in the state he was in. "No more throwing me off the side of the building." You told Thor firmly.
"Is that what yeeting means?" Thor asked you. "To throw?"
"In a sense." You somewhat agreed with him. "Night Thor." You bid him goodnight.
"Night lady (y/n)." Thor bid you back, before closing his door.

You woke up early the next morning to get ready for you first day of senior year. You did your hair and makeup nice and put on some nice clothes. It was the first day of school after all. You had to look nice. Every day after this one was when you could look like you just woke up.
When you were done getting ready you went down to the main living room/ kitchen to get some breakfast. The elevator doors opened and you were surprised to find a lone figure already down here.
You didn't think anyone would be down in the main living room this early in the morning. The only person who got up this early on a regular bases was Cap. And he was out on his morning sprint.
He claimed it was a morning jog but you didn't believe him.
"I didn't expect to see you up so early." You told the figure that was reading on the couch.
"I am always up this hour." Loki replied back, never looking up from his book. "It is the only time my idiotic brother leaves me be." Loki was in his Asgardian style tunic, his long raven black hair sleeked back perfectly. He then marked his spot in the book he was currently reading looking up at you. Right into your eyes. "Are you up looking for everyone socks?" Loki asked you teasingly, as he tried to get on your nerves. "Or are you making sure all the tower's fire extinguishers are in their correct spots?"
"Nether." You told Loki, unfazed by his malicious teasing. After years of public school you were mostly unfazed by what other people thought of you. "I'm just down here to get some breakfast before heading off to school. Can I get you anything to eat?" You asked him politely. "I don't think anyone has taught you how to use Midgardian cooking supplies yet."
"I'm fine." Loki replied back before turning his attention back to his book.
You shrugged before making your way over to the kitchen.

You set up your locker when you got to school, placing pictures of you and Eclipse everywhere inside it. You even got a little locker chandelier to put in your locker. It was cute, and it made you happy. There was no other reason why you got it.
After getting your locker set up you placed your backpack inside and grabbed the books you would be needing for class. You closed your locker and turned to head off to first period, but got startled by your friend Peter instead. You jumped back instinctively, almost dropping your books in the process.
"Sorry (y/n)." Peter apologized to you. "I just wanted to come see you and say congratulations on your first day of being a senior!"
"That's ok Peter." You quickly reassured him with a chuckled. Peter was a junior this year, just a year younger than you were. The two of you have been friends ever since you moved to New York to live as an Avenger. He had a superhero alias as well, Spider-man, though he kept that part of himself a secret. Unlike you. "And thanks. I have major plans of doing absolutely nothing. This year is going to be great."
"What?" Peter asked you confused.
You took out your class list and gave it to him.
"First period, movie analysts." Peter read. "Second period, painting. Third, animal science. Lunch. Fourth, social dance. And fifth, pottery." Peter read over your classes again before looking up at you confused. "These are all the easiest classes you could possibly take."
"Yep." You agreed with him proudly as you took back your class list. "This is only my A day list, you should see B day's schedule."
"But your a senior." Peter pointed out, "shouldn't you be taking harder classes for your college resume?"
"Yes," you agreed with him. "But I really don't want to. This year is going to be my chill year." The bell rung, a signal to the students to get to class. "Now if you excuse me I have movies to go analyze." You told Peter happily. He bid you farewell and the both of you went on your separate ways.
