Survival Test? Pfft Please Sensei
Miyu's pov.
Sasuke and I both woke up early the next morning, as usual. I was getting ready while he waited ever so patiently.
Today decided to wear a dark blue spaghetti strap tank top with the Uchiha symbol on the back, and my usual white mid thigh length skort with my usual black flats. The shorts on the skort are spandex material so its easy to move around in and the skirt is flowy. From elbow to wrist are wrapped in bandages, and my waist length blueish black hair is down as usual, with my head band around my neck.
Huh... Guess its not much different from my normal clothes.. the only difference is the head band >_<
"Are you done?" Sasuke appeared in the bathroom door as I finished brushing my hair. I nodded and set the brush down, picking up my bag and following Sasuke out of the house, him locking it behind us.
"I have a weird feeling..." I whispered, my hand intertwining with my twins. He 'hn'd' waiting for me to continue. "This exercise... I have a feeling there's something off about it.. But I can't figure out what."
"...." Sasuke stayed quiet, obviously pondering what I was saying. "I have the same feeling. We'll figure it out when he tells us about the exercise."Sasuke finally said, narrowing his eyes at nothing. I nodded once and took a deep breath of the fresh morning air.
It didn't take long to get to the training grounds. We were the first ones there. And we just stood there, hand in hand, watching as an exhausted Sakura stumbled up as she yawned. Next came Naruto who was practically sleep walking.
When Naruto reached us he dropped his bag on the ground then sat down in front of it. I watched silently as he layed down, using his bag for a pillow. These guys obviously weren't ones to get up early.
After about twenty minutes, I sat down, leaning against one of the large trees and staring at the sky. I heard and felt Sasuke sit down next to me. I have a feeling we're in for a long wait.
***********
Its been five hours since the meeting time.. Five. Hours. I swear I will bash his skull in if he isn't here soon.
"Where is he?!" Naruto asked/shouted for the millionth time today.
"Shut up, Naruto! We're all as irritated as you are!" Sakura slammed her fist into Naruto's head. I just watched with amusement as she continued to do so with every word of nonsense that came from Naruto's mouth.
"Yo!" A poof sounded and there stood Kakashi-sensei.
"YOUR LATE!" Naruto and Sakura both turned on him, screaming his head off but he just brushed them off as if it was nothing.
"Sorry I'm late. I had to help an old lady carry her groceries home." Kakashi-sensei gave what I'm guessing is a closed eye smile. Now bear with me here, I'm guessing.
"If your going to lie, then you might as well come up with a believable one." I commented, standing and brushing off my behind from the grass.
"Ah... Well anyway, today we start our first exercise as a team." Kakashi just about completely ignored me. "Today your mission is to retrieve these bells." Kakashi held up three bells. "If you don't get a bell by noon then you will be tied to the post and will not get any lunch and you will sit there and watch me while I eat my lunch."
So that's it! I understand now. But with dumb, dumber and dumbest, he should know that we'll fail. Especially if he's grading us on teamwork. Sasuke only ever works with me. And I know for a fact that with his high and mighty Uchiha attitude, he will reject any idea of working with anyone other than me.
"Those who do not get a bell by the end of the exercise will be sent back to the academy." I narrowed my eyes. Liar. If even one of us fails he'll most likely fail us all. Either sending us back to the academy, or just dropping us from the program completely. He's setting us up for failure and we haven't even started!
Mentally smirking, I watched as Kakashi-sensei set an alarm clock next to the KIA stone, as well as three bentos.
"You have until noon. Oh and you may use any weapon you like, including shuriken " Kakashi-sensei stood in front of us.
"But, sensei! That's dangerous!" Sakura gasped. I rolled my eyes, placing my hand on my hip and then closed my eyes, responding to her foolishness.
"If you aren't prepared to kill if necessary, then why are you here?" I asked. "In the ninja world, you must be prepared to take the life of anyone. Even your comrades. What would you do if a comrade suddenly turned on you, threatening your life, the life of your loved ones and your village?" My eyes snapped open, glaring at the shaking pink headed girl. I scoffed and turned away from her.
"Miyu is right, Sakura." Kakashi-sensei agreed with me. "Alright. Let's begin. Ready. Set." I heard movement and turned to find Kakashi-sensei holding Naruto's hand, which had a kunai poised in it, to the back of Naruto's head. "I didn't even say go yet. But hey. I think I'm starting to like you guys. You came at me with the intent to kill. If you don't, you'll never get a bell. Go!"
Sasuke and I flashed into the trees, making sure to stay close. I could sense Sakura beneath some bushes and Naruto.... right where he was..
What a baka!
I let my eyes wander over to where Sasuke sat perched in the tree to my left.
"You know, compared to the others.... your a bit weird." I heard Kakashi say.
"The only weird thing here is your haircut! Shadow clone jutsu!" I turned to face Naruto's fight, amazed that he knows such a high level jutsu that is forbidden to anyone under Jounin rank.
I turned away from the fight, communicating with my twin in silence. He nodded and I frowned but nodded as well.
"Leaf secret Jutsu: Thousand Years of Death!" I turned just in time to see sensei stick his fingers up Naruto's arse, sending him flying. That's nice. Now I know to keep my booty covered.
I kept my eyes on the fight, watching as Naruto got up, and fell for an obvious trap. I didn't even notice Sakura had yelled for him, or even moved from her hiding spot. Sasuke took this chance to throw shuriken at Kakashi-sensei.
There was a poof, and I actually thought that he had landed a hit. But then the smoke cleared and I seen the log. Substitution.
Sasuke ran out into the open, throwing punch after punch after kick after kick at Kakashi-sensei. I smirked. Now its my turn. I snuck up behind sensei and aimed a kick at his head, while he was busy blocking Sasuke's attacks. I extended my leg, about to land my hit, but then he was gone.
I dropped to the ground, rushing to Sasuke's side. We glanced at each other and nodded, glaring at sensei who was now in front of us. We started weaving hand signs.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Fire erupted from our mouths and mingled as we aimed for the spot sensei stood, creating a much larger than normal fireball.
As the fires receded, we seen that he was gone. "I see. A perfect pair, not even needing words to communicate in perfect sync." We spun around, glaring at Kakashi. "How interesting."
"Were not like the others though." Sasuke was cocky, and ran at sensei, throwing more punches and kicks. I followed after, but I stayed quiet, kicking his legs from under him and grabbing two bells. Sasuke glanced at me, which I responded with a nod.
We flashed away into a tree, where I handed my twin a bell. "I'll be right back."
"Uh.." I watched as Sasuke bounded through the trees. I blinked and went to find Sakura. "Sakuraaaa!" I called out. I heard a scream and rushed in the direction, which wasn't far. Sakura was on the ground. Out cold.
Looking away from the pinkette, I noticed I was caught in a Genjutsu. Sasuke stood in front of me, bloody and wounded. I tilted my head in a curious manner.
"M-Miyu... Help me.. Kakashi-sensei... he-" I cut the fake off by walking away.
"Please. You can do better than that." I formed a hand sign. "Release!" The world around me faded, allowing me to see a surprised Sensei.
"That was fast." He commented.
"If you knew my brother, you would know that even in such desperate times, he would not beg for help." I just stared calmly at sensei as he assessed me. Then I just turned and walked away, looking for my brother.
To my amusement, I found him.. neck deep.. underground... I stopped in front of him and just stared.
"Miyu?" Sasuke asked, looking up at me as much as he could. We stared at each other for the longest time before I sighed.
"I don't want to know..." I said and channeled some chakra to my fist, and slamming in on the ground, effectively breaking it. "Let's go. Time should be up by now." Sasuke nodded and followed, stuffing his hands into his pockets. I linked my left arm with his right and started toward the open area where we first started.
Just as we started heading back we faintly heard the alarm ringing. I smirked, as did Sasuke as we reached the polls. Naruto was tied to the middle one and Sakura was sitting to the left of him on the grass.
"Alright. Who go a bell?" Kakashi-sensei asked. Sasuke and I both held out our bells. Kakashi seemed surprised as he checked his belt. Only one bell was there. "I see. I'll take those." We handed our bells over to sensei.
Sasuke and I sat side by side. And at that time, I decided to zone out. Smart right?
I thought so ^-^
My mind didn't come back to earth until a bento was set in my lap, courtesy of my brother. I blinked and stared at the open lunch.
"Eat." Sasuke ordered as he began eating his own. Breaking the chopsticks, I picked up a bite of rice and ate it. It wasn't to bad either. Just then we heard Naruto's stomach growl. I got up and held out a bite of rice.
"Here." I shoved it in his mouth before he could respond. That made Sakura throw a fit, to which I didn't listen to. Sasuke ended up saying a few words of which I don't remember. Wow... I never knew how talented I was at ignoring possibly important conversations.... Amazing.
I turned, seeing some random thunder and lightning storm over us and a very angry Kakashi. Sasuke jumped straight up in front of me, keeping me from harms way, kunai out at the ready.
"YOU... Pass!"
"I think I just missed something..." I blurted out. Everyone but Sasuke sweat dropped, not used to my behavior like Sasuke is. "Uh.. Onii-san? What did I miss?" I asked as he took my hand and started walking away.
"Nothing, imouto. Let's go home." Sasuke sighed. Well, if Sasuke says its nothing then its obviously nothing.
Huh. Now I'm really curious as to what I missed. -_-
