Chapter 88: Naruto's Mom ❤️

Naruto struggled against the Nine Tails. Outside his mind, the tailed beast's cloak appeared around Naruto's body, worrying everyone. However, midway, it stopped enveloping him. It turned out that Naruto was in another astral plane with a woman who had long, red hair. It was revealed to be his mother!

In tears, the blond hugged her, letting her know just how much he always wanted to see her. The two sit down and Naruto asks how her and his father fell in love. She tells him it all started with her moving to the leaf and getting picked on for her red hair. She told him she started out hating it until one day, Minato told her that her locks were beautiful.

"Ever since that day, I never hated my hair again," Kushina told her son. "I fell in love with your father that day he came to rescue me and told me my hair was beautiful."

Naruto smiled warmly.

Kushina returned the gesture.

"Naruto... I know about your girlfriend. Nia's her name, right?"

"Huh?" Naruto blinked. "Yeah, but how do you-"

"Did Minato tell you anything?" The redhead giggled. "We're able to see what's going on with you from where we're at, ya know."

"What?! Foreal?"

"Yes, silly."

"Yeah... Nia... she's-"

"Experienced what it's like to be bullied for something out of her control too, huh? She... hated the way she looks, correct?" Kushina tilted her head.

Naruto looked down.

"Yeah... for a long time she was really depressed about how she appeared. About how others teased her and made her feel like nothing. She... was a handful a lot of the time when we first met, ya know?"

"Unlike me, though, she didn't really stand up for herself, huh?"

"Nia's... just not like that. You see... she's really gentle. She doesn't wish to get into it with anyone. She treats others the way she wants to be treated. She's truly a kind soul," Naruto blushed. "It's what I love about her, but at the same time, her unwillingness to give people a taste of their own medicine is what makes people feel they can hurt and take advantage of her. My little Nia is just too gentle for her own good."

"I see..." Kushina have a sympathetic expression. "But even so... you protect her, don't you?"

"Of course I do. No matter what, I'll always be there to not only defend her, but to give her a shoulder to cry on."

"And apparently, you're there to get sex immediately afterward too, huh?" Kushina gave a scary smile.

"Wait, how do you-"

"Naruto Uzumaki!" She hit his head. "Don't think I didn't see you changing her pills so you can get her pregnant! What were you thinking?!"

"Owwww!" Naruto grabbed at his injury.

"You have some nerve getting her pregnant the way you did! That's not how I wanted my son to behave, ya know!"

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Naruto groaned. "I just..."

He lowered his eyes.

"I just... didn't wanna lose her again..." The blond croaked.

"Hm?" Kushina blinked.

"The first time... Nia died... it was because she gave her life for me. When I had awoken and held her lifeless body, I... I was completely-"

Naruto's eyes squeezed shut as it began to water.

"And then the second time... when that masked man killed her and she died in my arms with our little babies, I... I just-"

Tears rolled down the blond's face. He remembered those moments so vividly. It never left his mind.

"Naruto..." Kushina grabbed his hand.

Naruto continued to cry.

"I remember seeing her when that happened," His mother spoke softly. "She was such a lovely, kind hearted girl. Seeing the way she's treated you and been by your side this entire time, I knew immediately... she's the kind of girl I wish for my son to marry. For her to give her life so that you may live... it brought me to tears."

Like Naruto, tears sprung in Kushina's eyes as well.

"She has nothing but pure love for you. The way you two came to be seemed like a miracle to your father and I. She's the kinda girl we were hoping you'd eventually get to be with. Truly, you both are blessed to have one another, ya know?"

Naruto sniffled and looked up at the woman.

"As for your babies... they were so precious and had the squishiest cheeks," Kushina smiled. "The twins are truly beautiful and I'm so glad that I'm able to call myself their grandmother."

"Mom..." Naruto was touched.

"So son... do me a favor and treat your future wife to the best of your ability. Grow a family with her and protect them with your life. Make them happy and be sure to always be appreciative for what you have. And remain happy at the fact... that I love you. I love you so much, Naruto."

Naruto blinked in surprise, but then a smile formed on his face and his cheeks flushed.

"Yes... I will..." Naruto wiped his tears and smiled, swaying around.

Kushina grinned.

"Now how about you say we finish taking care of that annoying Nine Tails?!" She pumped her fist.

"Yes!" Naruto nodded.

So that's what they did. Kushina aided her son in battle and eventually they were able to pull the Nine Tail's chakra out and have it pour into Naruto, giving him a awesome new form. Afterward, he found himself back with his mother, who then went onto explain that she was also a jinchuuriki of the tailed beast and told him of her origins. She next told him about the incident that happened on Naruto's birthday, October 10th.

By the time she finished, she was in tears and apologized for everything she believed she had put her son through. However, Naruto responded by telling her that he didn't hold anything against his parents and that he was glad to be their son.

Hearing this, Kushina ran to him and hugged him, her chakra beginning to fade.

"Thank you, Naruto. Thank you for making me a mother. Thank you for making Minato a father," She said. "Please remember everything I told you. Live a happy life, get married to Nia, be a good father to your children. Please, just please, take care of you and your family. Minato and I... we love you so much. We're so proud... to call you our son, and please... tell Nia this... tell her your mother told her-"

Kushina told Naruto what she wanted to tell Nia and with that, her chakra dispersed and she disappeared, the remainder of her aura gently brushing by Naruto as a tear ran down his face.

"Mom..." He breathed lovingly, a smile on his features. "From now on... I promise that I'll eat my veggies... especially the ones Nia tries to make for me, and not just ramen. Don't worry about me bathing... I like it. I go to the hot springs a lot, too. I'm getting plenty of sleep - tons in fact! I probably sleep too much, ya know?"

Naruto then thought of his friends in Konoha.

"As for friends, I have lots of them... really good ones, too! I sure wish you could've met them, Mom. Although... there's one that I'm not getting along with right now. As for my studies, you were exactly right, Mom, but I don't get depressed over that, ya know? A lot happened with my teachers and upperclassmen when I was in the academy, but we respect eachother now."

His mind shifted to his late master.

"Pervy Sage taught me all about the three shinobi cohabitations. He was just like you described him, Mom! You sure were right about him, but he also taught me how shinobi should live, he was truly a great shinobi."

Naruto then blushed and his smile grew wide at the next thought.

"As for women... Well you already know about that, but I can never get over talking about my sweetheart. I was so blessed to have met the greatest, most beautiful girl I've ever got a chance to know — Nia Umino. Even though we started out rocky, our friendship grew to a ridiculous height and we eventually fell in love. My sweetheart has always stuck by my side and cheered me on through the good and bad. We're always there to give eachother a shoulder to cry on or share laugh when something is funny. She completely accepts and loves me for who I am, even if I'm the Nine Tails jinchuuriki and though I act a mess sometimes. She's giving birth to our baby girls, Naruta and Nisaki, soon and I couldn't be any happier. I plan on marrying her and spending the rest of my life with Nia, growing a huge family with her. I love her to death, Mom. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me, so you have nothing to worry about, ya know."

Naruto made a serious face and pressed the side of his fist against his chest.

"I am Naruto Uzumaki — ninja of the Hidden Leaf. My dream... is to become hokage! And to surpass all of the hokages who came before me! And what's more! To become a even cooler guy than Dad... and also, to become a stronger shinobi than you, Mom!"

A/N - Whew! Finally done with this chapter! This was such an emotional chapter for me to write while watching the show at the same time. I really felt hurt over the whole Naruto's parents dying when he was born thing 😭
