The last chapter of The Loser's Hero will be going up tomorrow, but sometime after the 24th or 25th of this month, I will most like be taking the story down in order to query to literary agents. I also have a Twitter if you guys wanna follow me.

Chapter 81: Meeting As Little Children

A large fish laid flat on its side on the sea as Naruto, Nia, Yamato, Guy, Aoba, and a brown skinned man named Yusuke, looked on. It was sunset and Guy was sitting at the end of the boat, panting as he had used his strength and speed to help out the group catch the fish.

Yusuke was also sitting on the opposite of the boat and Naruto approached him, getting down on a knee.

"You finally did it, Yusuke," He smiled. "You avenged your dad."

The fisherman smiled back.

"Yeah... and it was because of you guys' help."

"Well, I honestly didn't do anything," Nia awkwardly smiled as she stood next to her boyfriend.

"Sweetheart, of course you didn't do anything. You're pregnant. Leave all this stuff to us men, ya know?" Naruto eyed the girl.

"But Naruto, I just feel bad doing nothing."

"Honestly, he's right," Yusuke said. "I wouldn't want my mission to hurt a woman, especially one who's with child."

"Well, it's actually two babies," Naruto clarified.

A look of surprise featured on Yusuke's face.

"Twins, huh?"

Naruto and Nia smiled at eachother then back at their new friend.

"Yeah," They nodded.

Suddenly, they heard Aoba behind them.

"I still don't get it, though," He said. "Why hasn't the animal return to its home already?"

Naruto stood up as he and Nia saw a type of blade stuck into the creature.

'That poor animal...' Nia thought. 'It has a weapon struck in it... If only I could- huh?'

The girl watched as Naruto suddenly jumped off the boat and onto the large fish. He positioned himself where the blade was and placed his hands on it.

"Easy there... I'll get it out," He spoke softly.

Moments later, he ripped the blade out and Nia saw as the fish's eyes went from red to that of an innocent expression.

Immediately, her heart melted.

Naruto's just so... he's just so...

The blond returned to the boat and held the weapon in front of Yamato and Aoba.

"This is..."

"A demon wind shuriken from the Leaf," Yamato finished.

"Well, I guess there's no question, then..." Aoba added. "Looks like it was a victim of the third great ninja war, after all."

"Oh Naruto..." Nia approached the genin and hugged him. "You saved it... it can now go back home."

"Sweet Nia..." Naruto wrapped his arms around her, after handing the large shuriken to Yamato. "I'm just glad you're not hurt and that you didn't get all caught up in the mess."

"I was really scared when the boat was getting paddled fast by Guy-sensei."

"Yes, but you had nothing to fear, cause I was holding you close to me, beautiful."

"Oh Naruto..." Nia blushed.

Aoba sighed at the couple's overtly lovey-dovey affection toward one another and glanced over at Yusuke.

"If it's possible, we'd like to send the beast home," He said.

"Yeah sure. Whatever you want," Yusuke smiled. "As far as i'm concerned, our feud was settled today. No grudges on my end."

Everyone then watched as the fish swam off into the sunset with smiles on their faces. Finally, when it got enough distance, the creature flipped into the air and poofed away, revealing it to be a summoning animal.

Naruto held onto Nia as this happened and the two even shared a kiss in the orange romantic sky.

By daytime, the group waved their goodbyes to Yusuke as their ship sailed back into the sea. The group then went into a room to relax.

"Naruto," Nia was blushing as the blond was attempting to kiss and hold her. "C-C'mon baby, our friends are around us."

"So what? I want to give my future wife as much love as possible while on this resort."

"Naruto, this is a S rank mission, remember? Not a vacation," Yamato scolded.

"Yeah, yeah..." The blond ignored the captain and continued to show Nia affection.

"U-Uzumaki..." Nia blushed harder as Naruto kissed her all over her face and pulled her to him.

"Nia, you're the love of my life. I just can't help it, ya know?"

"I know, but baby..."

"Sweetie, don't argue with your hero."

Later at night, Naruto laid beside Nia as the girl slept. He wrapped his arm around her, and went under her shirt to feel her belly.

I hope Naruta and Nisaki are doing alright. Daddy's so worried for his babies...

He kept his hand there and kissed Nia's head.

I finally get to have a family... a actual family, and it's all because of my beautiful Nia. If only I could've met her when I was younger, maybe I wouldn't have been so lonely. I'm sure my sweet Nia would've accepted me, and I... would've protected her from bullies.

Naruto then began to imagine things.

I wonder... what would it have been like if we met as kids?

Because he was tired, Naruto only ended up falling asleep. However, his mind remained active and he began to see a scenario play out as a dream.

"You think you're worth something?" A toddler muffed a very small Nia as she took a couple steps back. "Look at this face of yours. Not even a mother could love a face like yours."

Hearing this, Nia started to cry in her hands. Walking nearby in the woods was a three year old Naruto. He had just got done trying to train and was stumped on how to make clones of himself.

"Quit following everyone around. None of us want to be friends with the ugly kid," Another boy with blue hair snarled.

Naruto's ears perked up just in time for him to lift his eyes in the other children's direction and see them land a hit to Nia's cheek, dropping her to the ground.

Immediately, he gasped.

"Hey!" He yelled and ran toward the group of kids. "What do you think you're doing to that girl?!"

"And who are you?" A girl with pigtails placed her hands on her hips.

"You haven't heard of me? Well, i'm Naruto Uzumaki, ya know!"

"Naruto, huh?" A boy with red hair chuckled. "Wait, aren't you that kid who can't do anything right?"

"Yeah, he's the big trouble maker that no one likes," The girl with pigtails said. "He's always giving everyone a hard time."

"You all will be added to that list if you don't leave this girl alone!" The blond yelled.

"And why exactly are you defending her?" The blue haired boy asked.

"Are you serious? You hit her and are treating her badly."

"So what if we are?" The redhead replied. "She's ugly."

"And that gives you enough reason to hurt someone?! Just because of how they look?!"

"That's more than enough of a reason. She's different! A total loser."

"She's actually like you," The girl giggled. "You're both losers!"

The children held an L to their forehead.

Naruto growled and got on a knee, sitting Nia up more.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked her.

Nia saw the sincere expression in his face and especially eyes and felt her face burn. She averted her eyes shyly from the blond.

That's when Naruto noticed it... the one brow on her face that curled at the center.

"Curly Brow..." He faced the three children. "You leave Curly Brow alone, ya know!"

"Curly Brow? That's what you're naming her?" The kids started laughing.

"What's so funny?!" Naruto yelled.

The kids only laughed and one of them kicked dirt at Nia and Naruto, although Naruto hugged the girl and shielded her.

"Aw look, he's hugging her," The pigtail girl pointed. "You two would be perfect for eachother. Both rejects that everyone hates."

"You take that back!" The blond growled.

"Or what?" The redhead boy taunted.

"Don't you know your speaking to the future hokage?!"

"Oh yeah?" The blue haired boy pointed at Nia. "And who's she supposed to be then?"

"S-She's..." Naruto was stumped as he looked at the crying Nia. "She's uh..."

"Cat got your tongue?"

"C-Curly Brow is my... she's..."

"Yeeeeah?"

Naruto closed his eyes and clenched his fists, his face going red.

"CURLY BROW IS MY FUTURE WIFE, YA KNOW! So since she is, you can't bully the hokage's wife!"

The bullies all looked at eachother before they bursted out into laughter.

"I... I don't know what's funnier... that kid thinking he'll be hokage one day... or the thought of that ugly girl actually getting married one day!" They laughed.

"You better believe I'll be hokage one day! A-And you also better believe Curly Brow and I are getting married when we're adults, ya know!"

"As IF we'd believe any of that!" The redhead boy threw a fist against Naruto's cheek, knocking him down on Nia.

The other kids joined in and started beating the small child up.

"Leave him alone!" Nia finally gathered the courage to hold one of the boys by the waist.

"Get off, ugly!" They only kicked her off, making her land on her back.

"Curly Brow!" Naruto sat up and kneed one of the kids in the stomach.

However, the other two jumped him and without much effort, gained the upper hand.

Nia grabbed a stick nearby and started hurrying the kids with it.

"OW!" They whined as tears sprung up in their eyes.

"Get off Whisker Cheeks!" Nia next threatened to beat them with a stick again.

Before she could, the redhead snatched the weapon from her and started beating her with it. The other two joined in, kicking her.

Because of this, Nia started crying. Once she was, Naruto stumbled back to his feet and attacked the bullies.

"I already told you to leave her alone, ya know!" He roared.

"Oh shut up!" The boy with the stick smacked the blond with it and turned his beating onto Naruto.

By this time, both Naruto Nia were bruised and bloodied. Things would've gotten worse had everyone not heard the bullies' parents calling for them from a distance.

"Oh crap! It's our moms and dads!" The blue haired boy gasped.

"Quick, drop the stick and run!" The pigtail girl advised.

Immediately, the redhead threw the stick.

"Don't ever mess with us again, or we'll beat you even worse than we just did now," He threatened.

With that, the three ran off from the scene.

Naruto laid on the ground, as beaten as ever, but when he heard Nia sobbing, his heart ached. Immediately, though he was wounded, he crawled where the girl was and carefully sat her up.

"A-Are you okay?" He asked

"N-No," Nia wept.

"D-Don't worry, I'll get you to safety," The blond promised.

Nia only cried into her hands.

"I'm sorry that you got hurt. I tried to save you..." Naruto said.

"I'm hurting! I want my mommy and daddy!" Nia replied.

"I can take you to your mommy and daddy with my clones! See?" Naruto crossed his fingers. "Multi-shadow clone jutsu!"

A poof of smoke came, but to everyone's disappointment, only little clones came into view. They were miniature versions of the blond.

"Let's help her!" One squeaked, heading to grab Nia's shorts.

"I'll protect you!" Another said.

However, they were just too small to help at all. This resulted in Nia crying harder.

Naruto pouted.

"Hey, please don't cry," he spoke gently.

"But I want my momm-"

"Yeah, I know you want your mommy and daddy, but guess what?"

Naruto smiled.

"You get to be my wife in the future... the future hokage's wife, ya know!"

Hearing this, Nia looked at him with blurred vision.

"Like how my mommy is to my daddy?" She questioned.

"Yes."

"Y-You promise?"

"I never go back on my word," Naruto swore.

"O-Okay... I'll be your princess."

"Ok, my princess. Let's get you to your mommy and daddy!"

Hearing this, Nia used her sleeve to wipe her tears.

"O-Okay..."

Naruto continued to dream as the sun rose in the clear skies. By then, Nia had woke up and was watching the boy sleep.

Aww, he's just so cute.

And with that, it was time for another day at sea to begin.
