A/N - HUGE NEWS! NaruNia now has it's very own MERCH store! In case y'all don't already know, a new store has been made on Teespring instead of the last site I first used. Teespring is cheaper and has more variety of colored shirts and hoodies and other merch you can choose from!

Chapter 76: Sakura Confesses Her Love To Naruto

"Baby!" Nia was released from the sealed closet wrapped with wood that Yamato had placed her in after the fellow who claimed themselves to be Madara appeared but then left after sharing to Naruto, Kakashi, and Yamato about Itachi and what Sasuke's plans were next.

Yamato wanted to make sure the Akatsuki member wouldn't figure out or see that Nia was still alive in fear he would try to kill her again.

Nia ran into Naruto's arms and the blond wrapped his arms around her.

"Baby, are you okay?! The building is destroyed!"

"Yes, sweetie. Your hero is just fine... but are you okay? Did the enemy see you?" Naruto questioned.

"No, I don't think so. Captain Yamato kept me hidden," Nia replied.

"Oh, i'm so glad..."

"I wouldn't be relieved just yet. Aside from what Madara told us about Itachi and Sasuke, he did tell us that he may have figured out a way to obtain the nine-tails without the need of having to slaughter the guardians."

"Pfft! That bastard had some nerve telling me my sweetheart and our babies may have died for nothing!" Naruto frowned.

He then gazed down at Nia and kissed the top of her head, squeezing her tighter to him.

"Jokes on him! My new family is still alive, ya know!"

"New family?" Nia looked at him.

"Yes, beautiful. We're having babies and I'm gonna marry you soon," Naruto told the girl. "That means... we're family now."

"Oh Naruto!" Nia blushed and smiled widely, hiding her face in his chest with her hands curled against it.

"I love you, Nia..." The genin spoke softly.

"Yes... I love you too, Naruto."

Kakashi would then tell everyone to keep what they heard from Madara a secret. They didn't wanna cause anymore unnecessary actions from any village.

Naruto decided to sit atop the roof of a building with Nia as he closed his eyes and focused. However, not noticing this, Nia laid her head on his shoulder and caused him to lose concentration.

"Oh honeybun..." She mumbled.

"Nia..." Naruto sighed.

Nia glanced over at him with slight confusion written on her face.

"What, baby? Why'd you sigh like that?"

"I was trying to concentrate, ya know?" Naruto said.

Nia immediately noticed the change of color in his eyes from blue to yellow.

"Is this... your sage mode?" She questioned.

"Yes it is, beautiful."

"Why... are you using this form?"

"Because I'm tryna get it to where I can last longer in this state."

"Like... in bed?" Nia blinked.

Naruto sweatdropped.

"No sweetie. I mean while I'm using it for other things like fighting and stuff like that. You sorta broke me out of my concentration."

"Oh, I'm really sor-"

"Naruto!" A familiar voice caught the couple's ears.

When they looked down they saw Sakura staring up at them along with Kiba, Lee, Sai, and Akamaru.

"Sakura?" Naruto's eyes returned to normal.

"Wait, why are you all here?" Kakashi questioned.

"Naruto! Get down here! We need to talk!" She yelled.

Naruto and Nia exchanged looks and grabbing hands, they jumped down the roof together and landed on the snowy ground.

Sakura's eyes went to Nia.

This isn't good... She's here with him. I can't put my plan into action if she's within hearing range.

"Nia..." Sakura smiled and pulled out a box of hot chocolate. "You wouldn't mind making everyone these while we're here, would you? We're all very cold in this land."

"Just what are you all up t-" Yamato was suspicious, but was surprised when Nia took the box of hot chocolate.

"Of course I wouldn't mind," She smiled back at the pink-haired girl.

"Be sure to take your time with it. We also want it to be delicious," Sakura said.

"Leave it to me!" Nia then kissed Naruto on the cheek before heading into the building next to them.

However, upon stepping in, she found the side window and climbed out of it, hiding behind the outside of the building. She felt something wasn't right with Naruto's female teammate and decided to listen in.

"Naruto..." Sakura stood about a few feet away from the blond.

"Yeah...?" Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"Naruto I... I came here because... I needed to tell you that... I love you."

Immediately, the genin's eyes widened in disbelief. Yamato and Lee were shocked to have overhear Sakura's confession, but the person most in disbelief was Nia.

'WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY?!' Nia freaked out as she overheard what the girl had confessed.

Naruto was physically stunned. He seemed to be in just as much disbelief as his girlfriend.

"S-Sakura... W-What was that? What did you just say? Cause I don't think I heard you right. Say it again...?" He asked, blinking.

Sakura, seemed to blush and had a small sincere smile. She looked away from Naruto and answered, "I guess... sure. What I said was..."

She then brought her gaze to Naruto's shocked expression.

"I love you, Naruto..." The girl repeated.

Nia couldn't believe her ears. Her boyfriend's old crush had proclaimed her "love" for him. Nia was revolted by Sakura's words. How could she say she loved HER boyfriend. Naruto was her's to have, not Sakura's!

Sakura then went on to explain about her feelings for Sasuke and how he meant nothing to her. She scolded Naruto for not listening more closely to her confession. Naruto thought to himself at that moment.

Sakura... You said you loved me and that... you're over Sasuke...

Naruto's shocked expression changed to that of a suspicious one. The space between them grew rather discomforting. Naruto went off.

"But why, huh?" He asked while spreading his hands out to each side of him. "Why tell me? If this is suppose to be some kind of joke or something, it's not funny at all, Sakura! What happened?!"

Naruto had a closed fist over his heart. He was already having a feeling that Sakura was making a false confession.

"It's nothing, really..." Sakura shook her head. She then made a gesture with her hand. "I... just finally realized my true feelings. I mean, I can't continue to love a rogue shinobi — a criminal, can I? I'm not a child anymore! It's time for me to face up to reality. That's why Naruto, you can forget about that promise you made to me."

Naruto made a face at his friend as she continued speaking.

The promise...

"What's going on?!" Yamato took a step forward, only to be stopped by Kakashi.

Naruto kept thinking to himself.

That promise I made to Sakura, about Sasuke... Doesn't she know that i'm searching for him because I want him to return home? And about her 'love' for me and her 'dead love' towards Sasuke-

"Look Sakura... What happened to you? You just suddenly started liking me?"

The medical ninja came up with a way to defend herself. Naruto glared at the kunoichi and began to have some memories of her with Sasuke flooding throughout his mind. All those times she cried for him, begged Sasuke to acknowledge her, cried to Naruto to bring Sasuke back to her, and her reaction to seeing the man she cared for after three years, gave Naruto a growing pain in his already battered heart.

Sakura proceeded to embrace Naruto, stating that he was always there for her while Sasuke was not. Saying that she now sees the shinobi in a new light while she sees Sasuke as a stranger. The words Sakura were saying had a negative affect on the hero of the Leaf. It seemed to him that Sakura was lying... Lying about her feelings for Sasuke... Lying about her feelings for him! Again, Sakura had said that she cared for him and before she could say anything else, Naruto became enraged. He pushed Sakura away from him then said:

"Quit it! Just stop, Sakura! This joke of yours isn't funny at all!"

Nia's heart ached as she watched everything going on. What was up with Sakura? She knew the girl had always been about Sasuke and now for her to suddenly claim to be in love with Naruto? Nia didn't believe it for a second.

Sakura gave her comrade a look. She then smiled.

"Why are you so upset?" She asked the genin. "I'm telling you, I like you instead of Sasuke. I-It's like that old saying... Women are as fickle as the autumn weather."

This angered Naruto further. His grip on Sakura's shoulders tightened.

"Just stop." Naruto demanded with a growl. "I hate people who lie to themselves so just STOP IT!"

Sakura's eyes widened.

"Lying? I'm lying?"

"Yes..." Naruto nodded.

He then narrowed his eyes and placed his hand on his heart.

"And besides... even if you weren't lying, I still wouldn't be with you."

"And why's that?!" Sakura growled.

"Because I'm in love with the most amazing, beautiful girl in the world. I love Nia... not you. My heart belongs to the mother of my children!" Naruto proudly declared. "I find it absolutely disrespectful that you came all this way to profess your so called love for me when you know I'm in a serious relationship with Nia and while we're about to welcome our beautiful baby girls to the world, ya know!"

"But Naruto, can't you tell I'm being honest with how I feel?!"

"I know you, Sakura... maybe... better than what you think. I know your heart doesn't lie with me. Trust me... ever since i've been with Nia, I've come to understand what real, sincere love looks like."

"And what makes you think my love for you isn't sincere, huh?!"

"You've loved Sasuke all your life... and now you're just randomly telling me that it's now me you're in love with...?"

"Yeah? What's your point?!"

"You can't just... be in love with someone for that long and suddenly... just fall for someone else. I know firsthand that getting over someone you liked your whole life doesn't just abruptly end that way, ya know?" Naruto sighed. "It takes... a lot of time. It takes a while for your heart to forget and let go of someone you cared for for the longest time. It doesn't happen instantaneously."

"But my case is different!" Sakura claimed.

"No... It's not. Everyone here knows you love Sasuke... and that you've never been in love with me. We know your true feelings, Sakura."

Sakura glared at her best friend.

"Why can't you just believe me, Naruto?! I love you!"

"The way you supposedly love me and the way Nia loves me is two different things!" Naruto blurted out.

Sakura frowned.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Nia's love is so much kinder, so much gentler, so much forgiving, so much realer, so much more STRONGER than your supposed love is! We might've been friends since we were kids and I might've felt that I was in love with you back then, but my bond with Nia is so much meaningful to me than any bond I have with any other woman — including you!"

Naruto clenched his heart.

"I love that girl with all my heart and no matter what, I wouldn't do a damn thing to poison what we have! We have a bond that no woman nor man can break! So please... stop trying to come in between us with these lies of yours, Sakura! Just STOP already!"

Hearing this, Nia stepped from out of the shadows as all eyes landed on her. Tears were gliding down her cheeks as she was moved by Naruto's love for her.

"Nia..." Sakura watched as the girl approached everyone.

Suddenly, without warning, Nia's hand connected to Sakura's cheek in a hard slap to the face.

"Don't you EVER try to take my boyfriend away from me ever again, you hear?!" Nia then hissed.

Sakura grabbed her throbbing cheek as her eyes widened in disbelief. However, anger soon replaced that feeling and in moments, she lashed out.

"YOU LITTLE-" She reached for Nia's face only for Lee to hold the enraged girl back from behind as Naruto stepped in front of Nia to protect her from his female teammate.

"Are you crazy, Sakura?!" Lee struggled to keep her in place. "You can't hit her! She's pregnant!"

"I don't give a rat's ass if she is! That bitch slapped me!" Sakura growled.

"Well, you shouldn't have tried to steal my man away from me, hoe!" Nia replied.

Fire erupted around Sakura's body.

"WHAT YOU JUST CALL ME?!"

The pink-haired kunoichi thrashed around so violently, it took all her friends she came with from Konoha to hold her down. All of them were elbowed in the face, clawed at, and kicked.

"Just tell me the real reason you came all the way here, Sakura!" Naruto demanded.

"Fine! You wanna know the real reason I came all the way here?! It's because I want you to stop chasing after Sasuke! I'm worried about you, Naruto!" Sakura then revealed. "It's always Sasuke this and Sasuke that! He's a criminal now and you shouldn't waste your time trying to bring him back! I know you made a promise to me when we were kids but you can drop it! That promise no longer stands between us!"

Naruto would then go in to say that he wanted to bring Sasuke back because he personally desired too and not because of just the promise he made to his friend. Sakura and him continued to argue as the others listened and when Naruto had made it clear that he was not returning to Konoha with her just yet and that he refused to give up on Sasuke, Sakura decided to drop the conversation and head back from where she came.

However, an idea struck her.

"Kiba!" She looked over her shoulder as her and the shinobi she came with followed behind her.

"Yeah? What is it?" Kiba replied.

"We've got a new mission. I need your help locating Sasuke!"
