Chapter 18: Gentle, Please? 🍋

"Gaara, no way, it's really you," Naruto was pleased to see the young man.

Nia linked arms with him after having been able to move over to him when Gaara's sand shield had gone away.

"Naruto... it's been far too long," The Kazekage spoke softly.

"It sure has... thank you for saving Nia. You made it here just in time, although... I'm not too sure why you decided to pay us a visit."

"Your Hokage had some things she wanted to speak with me in person."

"Ah, of course. Well, I'm glad you didn't get all caught up in this mess going on right now. The village is in serious danger."

"Yes... I bare witness to that." He replied, before his eyes locked onto the kunoichi.

Noticing this, Naruto rested a hand on her shoulder and smiled.

"Go on... why don't you introduce yourself to him? This is the kazekage I was telling you about." He encouraged her.

"WHAT?! FOR REAL?! THE KAZEKAGE?!" Nia was mind blown and immediately unlatched from the blonde's arm, took a step forward, and bowed to show her respect. "I am most honored and pleasured to... to um... meet you, Great Kage, sir. I thank you for rescuing me and have heard much good of you. Despite your high power, I hope we can be friends!"

Seeing this, Naruto sweatdropped and rubbed the back of his head.

"S-Sorry Gaara... she's... a really awkward person, but she means well. I never got the chance to tell you this, but she's my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?" The red-head wasn't expecting to hear that.

"Yes, sir," Nia kept her bow. "My name is Nia Umino."

"I see... another friend of Naruto's then..."

"Girlfriend, but yeah, she's still my friend too." Naruto responded as he just kicked back and watched the two acquaint themselves.

Suddenly, even though her head was down, a hand outstretched to Nia.

"I am the kazekage of the village hidden in the sand: Gaara," The kage personally introduced himself as Nia looked up at him. "Any friend of Naruto's... is a friend of mines as well."

Hearing this, Nia's eyes crinkled as she smiled and shook the guy's hand; cementing a friendship between them.

In that moment, multiple of their allies appeared before them.

"Pervy Sage," Naruto immediately went over to his master. "You're okay!"

"Yeah, and guess what? I've managed to find a way to set everyone free from the genjutsu," The sannin stated as the blonde observed how villager's were beginning to walk around once more and his friends seemingly either stood up straight unharmed or were limping due to the battle they were forced to engage in.

Seeing the condition Lee was in, Nia quickly went over and kneeled down, apologizing profusely as she had been the one to make a puncture in his thigh in order to protect herself from being killed while he was under the genjutsu.

"Do not be sorry," He forgave her as she helped him stand up, though he was forced not to apply pressure in that one leg. "You did what you had to. I do not blame you for taking the action you did in order to save yourself."

"Don't worry," Sakura made her way through everyone and to the black-haired boy. "I'll heal you."

"Thanks, Sakura."

Meanwhile, Tsunade stood across from the kazekage, curious as to why he was in her village.

"Gaara...? What brings you here?"

"I've received word from one of your messengers that you'd like to speak with me in person," The young man answered.

"Oh yes, that's right... well as you can see, our village has just been invaded by someone who was aligning with the Akatsuki. Though it seems like our villagers have no recollection of what just happened, us shinobi who were forced to fight do and we're gonna need some time to recover. However, since you're here, why don't you and your group head on up to my office so we can discuss things privately."

"Very well..."

"I'll see ya before you head out, Gaara!" Naruto grinned as the red-head looked his shoulder and nodded with a smile.

Suddenly, Iruka pushed his way through everyone and gripped Nia by her shoulders, startling her.

"Nia, you all right? Are you hurt at all?!"

Nia shook her head.

"No, I'm just fine. How about you, Iruka?"

"Oh, thank goodness..." The man breathed a sigh of relief. "I don't know what I'd do if I were to let you die while you're under my care..."

"Well then..." Kakashi spoke up as everyone's attention turned to him. "I'm glad we were able to protect this village. I suggest all of you who are hurt to follow Sakura to the hospital so you can be properly treated and the rest of you can now head back home and take it easy. Us jonin and Master Jiraiya will report in everything that went down with Lady Tsunade."

"Huh? But what about Naruto and I?" Nia rested a hand on her chest. "We-"

"No," The blonde took her hand and squeezed it. "Leave all that to Kakashi-sensei and the others like he said."

"But-"

"You and I already have plans remember?"

"Huh? What plans?" Nia raised an eyebrow as Naruto would lead her away from the others after saying his goodbyes and the two would eventually walk in the streets of Konoha where the young man would tell her what he meant by what he said.

"Naruto... maybe we should save this date for another time?" Nia suggested while on this walk with him. "We literally just went through a whole battle. You need rest, don't you?"

"Nah, don't worry about me," The blonde walked with his arms crossed behind his head. "Besides, I gave you my word before Hinata even attacked you that I was going to go on this date with you exactly after everything was resolved and we all know I don't go back on my word, ya know. I'm not gonna make myself out as a liar even if we just did get pulled out of a serious situation."

Nia's eyes crinkled as her lips slightly curved upwards.

"Well, all right. For tonight, I'd just like to take a stroll around the village since everyone is sorta trying to figure things out in their shops after the invasion."

"What? Are you sure? Don't you want me to take you out to eat or buy you something really nice?"

"Not really... I just literally care about having you stay in my company, though it does feels nice to know you wish to practically spoil me. You're too kind. Thank you."

"Nia..." Naruto sighed. "You really should let me do things for you. You can't be serious about just having me in your company is more than enough for you. Girls wants gifts all the time. You can't fool me."

"But... it isn't a lie," She told the truth. "I really do only care about having you with me. You letting me be your girlfriend is absolutely amazing to me. You don't have to do anything for me."

"But that's terrible. No guy should let his girl not allow him to buy her anything just cause she's happy with the fact that she gets to be his girlfriend at the very least. That's not how things should be."

Grasping her hand, the genin led the way.

"Come on, I'm buying you whatever you'd like with whatever money I have left on me. I won't let you stand there and believe you should just be grateful you're in a relationship with me. You deserve way more than that!"

"But that's not it, Naruto," The girl responded as she followed. "It's not because I feel I should be grateful you're with me. That's not even close to what I meant."

"Well, that's how it sounds to me. Don't you ever feel some sort of way when you see other girls having their boyfriends buying them something nice? C'mon Nia, not even once?"

Nia pondered his question for a moment and lowered her eyes.

Soon, the two would enter into some clothing store. It was decorated with some of the finest fashion the village had to offer as well with some jewelry being displayed for everyone to take a close look at. Many people inside flocked to whichever item they fancied the most and it was rather packed inside.

"Look around," Naruto told the girl. "You see those guys buying their girls something nice? You don't envy that at all?"

Nia just interlocked her fingers with the genin's.

"I literally just got jealous over how they were holding hands..." She responded.

Naruto sweatdropped.

"That was the first thing you noticed? People holding hands?"

"Well yeah... that's why I grabbed your hand. I want you to hold mine."

"That's great and all, but let's get moving and see if there's anything in here you like, ya know?

Hesitant, but not wanting to upset him, the girl followed. For the next few minutes they would look around. Purses decorated the shelves above them as did fancy pairs of sandals and high heels. People chattered amongst themselves, weirdly not seeming to know that they had all been caught in a genjutsu not that long ago. It seemed they simply wasn't very aware of anything that had happened and carried their day on like usual.

Nia did her best to find something she liked. She saw nice attires and elegant bracelets and such. However... she just wasn't yearning for anything.

Suddenly, she felt something being put above her head and glanced up to see Naruto adjusting a hat on her before noticing she was aware of what he was doing and grinned down at her.

"This is perfect! A hat in the shape of cup ramen!"

Nia couldn't help but return the smile.

"Of course you'd like this thing," She took it off and held it in her hands. "Considering you're a ramen addict."

"Ramen is the source of absolute happiness. One bite of it and you can't help but fall in love with it."

"Orrr you can eat too much of it and catch high blood pressure then die of heart failure."

"Oh please, like that could ever happen to me," Naruto chuckled. "Ramen wouldn't take a life."

Ignoring this, Nia just placed the hat over his head instead.

"Now this looks like it's on the right person," She blushed. "You look soooo adorable. Aww."

Naruto made a slight pout as his cheeks heated a bit.

"AWWWW!" This made Nia gush over him. "Naruto, you're so cute!"

"Geez," The blonde felt slightly embarrassed as his blush deepened. "You really gotta fangirl like that?"

"Of course!"

Behind them, a group of women passed by them and giggled into their hands upon seeing Naruto with such a hat on his head.

"GAH!" He ripped it off in response and handed it back to the kunoichi. "Man, I'm not some little kid anymore, ya know."

"But baby, it looked really adorable. Seriously..." Nia was disappointed.

Naruto crossed his arms. "No way, you can forget about it."

"You don't need to feel so embarrassed, Naruto. It's really not a big deal. I liked it a lot."

The genin averted his eyes from her, still red in the face.

"Is that... what you want me to buy for you?" He mumbled.

"Oh this? Sure. I want to see you wearing it. Maybe you can put it on before you sleep?"

"Huh? But this is supposed to be for you. Not me, sweetheart."

"But honeybun..." Nia gave puppy dog eyes. "You don't have a problem wearing that one animal hat with its teeth sticking out to bed."

"I mainly wore that for pajamas as a kid."

"But you still wear it occasionally. You're really cute."

"C'mon, Nia..." He sighed.

"Please, baby..." The girl begged.

Naruto sighed heavily. "Fiiine. I'll buy it for you."

"YAY!" Nia kissed his cheek before hugging him. "Thank you!"

"Yeah, no problem, but... now choose something you personally want for yourself, okay?"

"A-All right," The girl agreed to it. "I'll try..."

And so, the two would travel around, though Nia kept taking her sweet time trying to find something, making the blonde quite impatient.

Finally, as she was looking through a rack of clothes, Naruto found a cushion not too far away and went over there to sit on it as he waited for the kunoichi to find something she liked.

"Oh man," He yawned while stretching. "Finally, somewhere I can-"

"Honey!" Nia called out to him, making him stand back up and go back to her.

"What? You find something you like?" His eyes sparkled.

"Mhm. Take a look at it," She grabbed a large teddy bear from out of its box and showcased it to him. "Isn't it cute? Can I have it?"

Naruto rubbed the back of his head.

"A teddy bear?" He sounded disappointed. "Out of everything in this store I'm willing to buy for you, you want an oversized teddy bear?"

"Is that... bad?"

"Well, I mean... there's necklaces, earrings, bracelets, nice sandals, purses, and really stylish clothes, ya know?"

Nia just hugged the stuff animal to her chest.

"But I want something to hold onto when you're gone on missions and I'm alone thinking about you and missing you," She mumbled.

Naruto blinked a few times as he became flushed in the face all over again.

"Nia... you're really hopeless, huh?"

The girl didn't say anything as she just mirrored his expression causing him to give in.

"All right... you can have it. Is there anything else you want?"

Nia nodded.

"What is it?"

"You," She answered.

"Hm? What do you mean?"

Looking around to make sure no one was around them, the girl whispered, "I... wanna be in your arms tonight?"

"You wanna have sex?!" This caught the blonde off guard as Nia had to hush him.

"Y-Yes... make love to me tonight... Please?"

"But what about this date you've been wanting to go on?"

"Let's resume it tomorrow where we'll have the whole day to spend together."

Naruto crossed his arms and pondered about it for a moment before eventually nodding his head.

"Sounds good to me. Now is this everything you want? Just this cup ramen hat thing and the teddy bear?"

"I guess..." The girl replied as the two would then proceed to the check out and eventually head to Naruto's apartment where he would lock the door behind him once entering the building.

He followed Nia into his room where she would set down the two gifts then embraced her from behind, making her incredibly timid suddenly.

"So you wanna go another round, huh?" He smiled over her shoulder.

"Will... you be gentle with me this time?" She reddened.

The blonde nodded before turning her around to face her.

"You said... you don't want me to always be rough with you and that every now and then, you want sex... to feel a lot more deeper and meaningful to you, so yeah... I'll do my best to be as gentle as I can."

"Promise me," Nia rested her hand on his chest.

"I promise."

The two began to kiss passionately. Naruto gently guided Nia back onto his bed as their lips locked together.

As he did this, he slipped his left hand around her waist from behind, lightly touching her side.
