Two And A Half Years Later
Footsteps echoed throughout the empty hallways. The sound of doors opening, and slamming shut sounded.
"Not here!" Many voices down different hallways grumbled frustratedly.
Two of those voices belonged to Sakura Haruno, and Naruto Uzumaki. The remaining members of Team 7, now renamed as Team Kakashi.
A certain blonde headed teen let out an irritated grunt. He could feel Kurama stirring in anticipation.
For what, he didn't know.
BANG!
Naruto heard it all the way from his hall. Rushing toward the explosion, he stopped short, seeing his team mates staring up at something.
Sakura in shock, while Sai, their 'temporary' replacement for their long gone team mate Sasuke, stood with his usual emotionless expression.
"Sasuke..." that one word - that one name - was all it took to have Naruto moving again.
"Naruto!"
"Well, well, if it isn't Sakura." Naruto skid to a stop, eyes squinting as his eyes stopped at the same spot Sakura's were trained. "And Naruto. I suppose Kakashi is here as well?"
There stood at the top of the large ditch, was Sasuke Uchiha.
"Sasuke.." Naruto's eyes narrowed as he noticed the boy was alone.
"Sorry to disappoint, but in was sent in his stead." Yamato, the temporary leader of Team Kakashi stepped from the hideout, coming into the light.
"Is that my replacement?" Sasuke ignored the comment as his eyes landed on Sai. "I thought you already had a weak link on the team. You didn't need another one." He stated, hand poised on his hip.
Naruto barely heard the conversation between Sasuke and Sai. All he knew, was that it was about bonds.
"If that's true! If that's true, then why didn't you kill me that day!" Naruto shouted, voice slightly breaking at the end.
"Hn, I merely spared your life on a whim." Sasuke retorted, gaze sliding to the blonde. "I simply didn't want to obtain power the same as my brother did." He said. "But I have a feeling, that won't br the case this time."
In an instant, Sasuke was in front of Naruto, left hand on the blondes right shoulder, and his free hand on his sword. "Tell me, Naruto. Wasn't it your dream to become Hokage? Why would you waste all your time chasing after me, when all this time, you could have been training."
Naruto grit his teeth. "How can I become Hokage if i can't even save one friend."
"I see." Sasuke glanced at the blonde from the corner of his eye. "Then I think this time, I won't spare your life on a whim." He unsheethed his sword and poised it at Naruto's back.
Moving to stab his old friend, Sasuke blade was stopped.
By Sai.
"The block you used was correct." Sasuke stated blankly, moving away.
The next few moments came and went in a sort of blur. Sasuke flipped Naruto onto his back, and jumped away from Sakura's chakra punch. Yamato tried to stab the teen and only got stabbed in the process.
With his blade embedded in Yamato's shoulder, Sasuke dared a look at Naruto, sharingan activated.
A few moments passed in the outside world, and Yamato pushed the blade from his body using Wood Style, catching Sasuke off guard.
The teen jumped away to the edge of the newly made cliff, hand raised.
A small spark of lightning, and the hand was caught.
"I wouldn't use that jutsu, Sasuke."
"Hn. Let go." He glared at the older man, Orochimaru.
"How many times must I remind you, be polite." Kabuto scolded.
Both ignored him.
"Its time to go." Orochimaru stated, letting Sasuke's hand go.
"Sasuke!" Naruto yelled, getting the ravens attention. He was replied with a smirk.
"Naruto, I almost forgot." Sasuke began as fire began burning the three. "In one of the inner rooms, lay a prize."
"A prize?" Sakura repeated, utterly confused.
"This prize, is specifically for Naruto. But, you have to - " Sasuke held a finger to his lips in a shushing motion. "The prize.... isn't feeling well." Was the last thing he said before he was gone completely.
Naruto's eyes widened, just barely grasping onto the last part. Isn't feeling well. His body began moving on its own as he started running back into the hideout, throwing open doors.
"Naruto! What are you doing?!" Sakura questioned, rushing to follow the blonde.
Instead of answering, Naruto stayed silent, only continuing to throw open doors and search rooms.
"Urgh!" He let out the noise, slamming his fist against a wall. It was quiet, as his team mates watched him.
It was then that he heard it. The answer.
Naruto's head snapped up, ears listening.
There was a soft humming coming from somewhere deeper in the hideout.
"There!" He yelled as he started moving again, this time, following the soft hum.
"Na-"
"Quiet!" Sakura's eyes widened at the harsh tone Naruto spoke to her with.
Naruto's hand grasped the door handle. He could hear it. The soft voice was coming from this room.
Slowly, he pulled the heavy door open.
The hum stopped.
Naruto's breath hitched as his eyes landed on a small form, lying on the bed, facing away from the door. Slowly, he stepped inside, going around the bed.
Sakura watched, her own eyes widening as she watched him sit down. "It can't be..." she whispered.
"Miyu."
Miyu's pov.
"Miyu." My eyes fluttered open, feeling the bed dip.
"Your not Sasuke." I stated quietly, eyeing the new face. It was dark, so I couldn't make out their face, but he was definitely a boy.
"No, sweetheart. I'm not Sasuke." He answered, his voice deep, slightly cracking at the end. A warmth washed over me. A warmth all too familiar.
"You can't be real.." I whispered, reaching my hand out and carefully touching his cheek. "I must be dreaming again."
"No." He breathed, his own fingers trailing over my cheek. "No, your not dreaming, love."
"Did Sasuke make you?" I dropped my fingers to his lips. "He did a good job this time." A hand caught mine as I went to pull away. He pressed a kiss to each individual finger.
Mine.
My eyes widened and I felt myself begin to tremble at the voice. "No..." I sat up, frowning. Fingers interlocked with mine. "This can't be real..."
"Let's give them a minute." My head snapped to the side, eyes stopping at the door. A few figures slipped outside and the door slipped shut.
"Miyu." Fingers gently grasped my chin. "Look at me, love." Tears stung my eyes as that familiar warmth wrapped around me.
"This - This isn't real." I choked out, shaking my head.
"Miyu." His voice was calm, and strict. "Look at me, sweetheart." My eyes slid up to his face. "This is real."
"Naruto...?" My hair was tucked behind my ear, the hand cupping my cheek. "Are you sure your not a well made clone?" I just had to ask.
Would a clone have me?
That was
"I'm sure," he chuckled. "Come on, my love. Its time to go home."
"But... what about Sasuke?" I asked, shifting to my knees.
"Miyu... Sasuke left with Orochimaru." He answered.
"O-Oh.."
Naruto sighed, moving. His arms swiped my legs from under me, standing as he did so.
"He said you weren't feeling well either." Naruto stated, walking to the door and kicking it open. "Let's go." He called out, not letting me down as he started weaving his way to the outside of the hideout.
"Who is that?" I heard as I wrapped my arms around Naruto's neck. Peeking over his shoulder, my eyes widened as they landed on Sakura, a guy that looked strangely like Sasuke, and some creepy man.
"Miyu Uchiha, Sasuke's sister." Naruto answered simply.
"Then shouldn't she be-" Creepo was cut off by Naruto.
"Touch her, and I'll personally kill you." I shivered as the deep voice spoke. It definitely didn't come from Naruto.
I noticed creepo guy stop, holding his hand out, a weird kanji appearing on his hand.
"Don't bother," Kurama chuckled. I glanced up to see red hughs. "You got lucky last time." Kurama's eyes drifted down my way, a smile on his lips as he continued. "But that won't happen again. Only one person can control me."
We finally emerged from the hideout and I squinted at the bright light.
"We need to get home." Naruto's voice suddenly spoke, his eyes returning to blue. Immediately, Naruto took to the trees, not bothering to wait for anyone.
