×TWENTY×

You were flying above the cloudline, letting Hiccup take the lead as he vented out his frustrations with yells, falling back onto Toothless. "Are you okay?" Toothless asked, knowing his rider couldn't understand him. He just wanted to be reassuring and caring for his friend. Hiccup sighed, now in his own little world. You watched, wanting to comfort him but knowing well and truly if you were in his shoes...shoe, you'd want space too. "Don't worry bud, I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." You admired the friendship between them. They had crossed many lines that with Astra or someone else, you didn't think you'd trust them again. But here was a living example that forgiveness, loyalty and trust did work.

The flight was becoming increasingly relaxing, until you and Astra started to get on edge. Toothless started to get on edge soon after. A figure began cutting through the clouds, Toothless needing to turn his neck to see them and Astra narrowing her eyes. You urged Astra to speed up. Hiccup saw the figure and sighed, sitting up and saying "Aw come on dad. Really?" before suddenly realising he wasn't speaking to Stoick. He mirrored the look of surprise his dragon had. Astra came in closer, it really didn't help that you had decided to give him a lot of space. The figure descended into the clouds, only to burst through on a gorgeous Stormcutter. Toothless began flapping in one place as they were circled, and you began closing in, but the rider had seen you and the next thing you knew, the Stormcutter had swept you off of Astra. "Hiccup!" You cried, trying to pry away from its grip. "Astra!"

"(Name)!" Hiccup shouted, Astra racing after you. She closed in but got snatched up by a larger dragon, and moments later Hiccup was swept away by a dragon, leaving Toothless flightless and plummeting to the ocean below. "Toothless!" He cried out, trying to shake away the claws of the dragon who was carrying him off. "Hey! You left my dragon back there! He can't fly on his own, he'll drown!" Hiccup tried reasoning, but his words seemed to go unheard. You didn't even bother looking back at Hiccup or Astra. You felt horrible, the knowledge you had, knowing if you didn't literally give him lots of space then maybe, just maybe, this wouldn't have happened. "(Name)! Are you okay?" He shouted, so you'd hear him. But you pretended you couldn't. He sounded far too worried, and you wanted to keep that soley on his dragon, and not the girl he met over a month ago.

You saw the approaching nest and instantly recalled what dragon was the ice spitter. "A Bewilderbeast..." You mutter under your breath. The Stormcutter took notice of your realisation and hummed curiously. "But they can't...I thought they were gone..." You said quietly. "They aren't. Not all of them, at least. Our Alpha may be one of the last." You looked up at the Stormcutter. "Your Alpha? Did...did this Alpha of yours tell you to kidnap us?" The dragon's grip on you relaxed a little. "You can understand what I'm saying? How curious." He readjusted his grip on you. "No, my Alpha did not. My rider did. The boy reminds her of her own." Her? This rider was a woman? You were so confused, it wasn't even funny. They began flying through the nest, the Stormcutter and his rider taking a shortcut whilst the rest flew in the long way. You were gently dropped on the floor. "Who are you? Where's my dragon, and my friend?" You asked, getting off the stone floor and dusting yourself off. "The answers will be found soon. Come." And with that you followed this lady into another room. You hung back, however, watching. You watched at Hiccup and Astra were released in the center of a mass of dragons, the rider lady approaching him. "We have to head back for my dragon!" His voice echoed through the cavern. You watched in awe, alongside the other dragons as Hiccup tried to gain their trust. You really had fallen for him, hadn't you? You shook your head. No, I need to focus on the matter at hand. You kept looking at him though. But I'm starting to realise how much I really like him. Your train of thought broke as the lady got closer. He stopped what he was doing and looked towards her. You made sure that you weren't in sight, before continuing to watch. "Who are you?" He asked, as she circled him. "The dragon thief? Uh, Drago Bludvist?" He grew impatient. "Do you even understand what I'm saying?"

The rider lady swirled around her staff and hit one end on the floor, the beads in it rattling. Astra perked up, and rushed over to Toothless as he was placed before Hiccup. "Toothless!" He exclaimed, rushing to his friend's side to make sure he was okay. Astra nudged his snout and crooned. "Shh, it's okay, it's okay bud. I'm glad to see you too. You really had me worried there." He said, stroking the Night Fury's snout. The rider lady shook her staff, and the surrounding dragons lit flames in their mouths, illuminating the area. Toothless got defensive, but Astra sat, looking at the rider lady with interest. You watched as she got down low, quickly calming the Fury and getting increasingly closer to Hiccup, enough to make you slightly jealous. She reached out for his face, only to gasp and pull back, softly asking "Hiccup?" in a hopeful tone. She pulled off her mask to reveal her face, and you were surprised at the similarly in how they looked, before the Stormcutter's words made sense. Her own. Hiccup was this lady's son? "Could it be?" She asked. "After all these years? How's this possible?"

"Should...should I know you?" He asked. She looked disappointed. "No, you were only a babe." Hiccup looked at her, a puzzled look on his face. "But a mother never forgets." The look on his face changed from confusion to a mix of surprise and disbelief in a matter of seconds. He started making noise, as if trying to speak, but she shushed him. "Come." She repeated to him, what she said to you, running off and leading him somewhere, which was past you. You ducked out of the way, Toothless and Astra following. But the second dragon stopped, and sniffed the air, before turning to you and pulling you out of your hiding spot. "You're okay!" She sighed in relief. "We should follow them." You nod in agreement, and follow Hiccup and his mother, keeping your distance.

This was bonding time, and you weren't going to ruin it.
