Maya was getting bored standing beside Sanjay, when Siddharth went to get their drinks. Only an hour had passed and they were already getting bored. It was the same old office party where Maya had been coming from last two years. Siddharth and Sanjay were working in this office since last four years so everybody kind of knew about Maya.

Maya was waiting for her drink as her husband Sid had already been gone for ten minutes. She was getting impatient with each passing minute because of the boring party and here her husband was irritating her more. When he didn't come back, she took Sanjay along to find her world's best irritating husband.

When she got to the bar where the drinks were being served, she saw her husband with a lady, who had cleavage as big as Statue of Liberty and her face was packed in so much of makeup that she could put any joker to shame. Maya's thoughts became of a barbarian when she saw that lady's hand comfortably placed on her husband's chest and her husband's dirty smirk back on his face like college days.

With the look of kill on her face she turned towards Sanjay and with the murderous aura around her, she asked only one question which was replaying in her mind like an old cassette after seeing her husband with that whore.

'What the hell is going on between my husband and that bitch?' Maya's patience was at its lowest ebb and she was ready to burst.

Sanjay knew that she was serious. 'Look, Maya. There is nothing going on between two of them. Just a little bit of healthy flirting, I'd say.'

'Flirting? Healthy flirting? Really Sanjay . . .' she rolled her eyes in disgust. 'That's what you men call it? There is nothing healthy about flirting, Sanjay, not for a married man.

Healthy flirting is a term introduced by perverted men who want to lend legitimacy to their extramarital dalliances. Flirting invariably has a sexual connotation to it.' She got up from her seat and walked around the room gesticulating and muttering something to herself. Suddenly she stopped, turned back, looked at Sanjay and asked, 'Did my husband sleep with her? You are his friend. Did he ever tell you anything about it?'

Sanjay didn't know what to say. He was frozen in his place. He knew Sid would never do that. He loved Maya too much to ever betray her with any other woman. He still loved her the way he did ten years ago. But Maya got the wrong idea of Sanjay's silence and she fumed in anger in front of Sanjay while Sanjay was trying to shake his head to tell her that what she was thinking was totally wrong, Sid would never betray her. But all Maya seeing was red in front of her eyes, the same color of that lady's dress.

Maya knew her husband would never betray her in her heart, but after seeing his smirk and that lady's hand on his chest, she was contemplating on it now. She knew they had some rough patches in their marriage, but he had always stayed even after everything.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear Sanjay calling her name, but now he was shaking her violently.

'What?' she snapped at him in frustration.

'I'm saying Sid is not sleeping with her. Sid has never betrayed you. He loves you, you know that right?' Sanjay's voice softened in the end.

'Then what's that?' she asked him pointing in Sid's direction.

'I have already told you that's just some healthy flirting. There is nothing wrong in that.' He answered her in exasperation.

'Nothing wrong!' her expression was full of disbelief.

'That whore is throwing herself on him and there is nothing wrong in that.' Her hands were in the air in frustration. 'Ok, if he thinks that this is healthy, then just wait and watch'.

Sanjay backed away one step seeing that wicked smirk gracing Maya's lips. He still remembered that was the same smirk she would give in college, whenever she was going to do something, which no one could think she could.

Maya was laughing seeing Sanjay's scared expression. He knew her very well. She was going to teach some lessons to her dearest husband.

She grabbed a glass of scotch from the waiter who was passing by, gulped it down in one swig and grabbed another one and finished it the same in one go. Sanjay's eyes were now of size of saucers with fear whereas Maya was starting to feel confident with what she was going to do.

'You'll go with what I'm doing, okay?' she whispered with seduction in Sanjay's ear while Sanjay gulped in fear and nodded.

'Good boy' Maya patted on his head. She grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers. Sanjay looked up towards her in horror. He was getting more and more scared with each passing second but Maya could only laugh at his expressions.

She dragged Sanjay towards the other side of the bar while her husband was still busy flirting shamelessly with the lady.

'Now he'll taste his own medicine' Maya thought in excitement. She called the bartender in a seductive voice. It was loud enough to reach her husband's ears.

'Hey handsome, can I get a vodka please?' Maya purred which she knew only her husband had heard till now. Bartender smirked in return and poured her the glass of vodka while watching her every move.

Sanjay was sweating profusely while watching Maya flirting with the bartender. He knew Maya was good in college but he didn't expect she would be good this much even after all these years. He was keen to watch Sid's reaction. He knew Sid was a player before. Hell, he was present on Sid's every conquest but then Maya came in the picture and he forgot everything else and fell in love. He was still so much in love with her that it still shown in his eyes whenever he looked in Maya's direction. Sanjay always got mesmerized whenever he looked towards them. Sanjay knew Sid would beat him so bad when he would see Sanjay with Maya but he thought why would not use some fun here.

Sid was pleased in his own bubble with Tanya until he heard her voice. He could hear Maya's voice from the miles. His ears perked up when he heard the tone of her voice. He knew this tone was only reserved for him. She never talked like this with anyone. And then he saw her on the other side of bar, flirting with the bartender. The rage and jealousy he felt flowing in his veins that moment, seeing the bartender openly flirting with his wife was enough to kill someone. He had never felt like this before in all these years because he never saw Maya with any other man. She was his since forever. But this feeling was so new that he couldn't control it as his breathing got ragged and his knuckles turned white with the force he was putting in his fist.

Maya knew she got her husband's attention. 'Let the game begins' she thought.

'What are you doing after your shift, handsome?' Maya used the same seductive voice and tried to control her laugh.

'What do you have in mind, sugar?' the bartender smirked. Maya smirked in triumph, watching her plan going in right direction as she saw the scowl started forming on her husband's face when she watched him with a side glance.

'I say we can do some fun, eh?' Maya continued.

'We surely can.' The bartender replied while gazing at the woman standing in front of her.

'Here's my number. Call me when your shift ends' Maya winked at him and scribbled Sid's number on some napkin and hand it to the bartender with the smirk. The Bartender took the napkin and put it in his pocket with a smirk while Maya blew him a kiss and turned towards the Sanjay whose jaw was slacked and his mouth was opened in surprise seeing Maya in this way. Maya stifled her laugh and decided to continue the drama. She could feel her husband's heated gaze on her back.

Maya mouthed the words 'Let's start' to Sanjay and started sipping her drink with a smirk. Sanjay understood the meaning behind those words. He changed his expressions into a mischievous one and relaxed his posture. He knew Sid recognized whenever he lied, but this time he thought Sid would not be able to suspect a single thing. He was going to give the performance of his lifetime.

'So Sanjay where were we?' Maya glided one finger on his chest while watching him with a raised eyebrow. Maya knew she only talked like this with Sid but she was enjoying this too much.

'You wanted to have some fun?' Sanjay replied with a grin. Maya suppressed her laugh once again and take one step towards Sanjay. She saw Sanjay's eyes dancing in mischief and tried so hard not to laugh at this instant. She could still feel her husband heated gaze on her back.

Sid was full in flames now. He couldn't control his anger, watching the scene playing out in front of him. He couldn't believe on his eyes at what he saw. How her wife could give her number to that filthy bartender while he was standing in front of her. The jealousy he was feeling seeing her wife flirting with the other man was too much to control. His every muscle was itching to beat that filthy bartender to even consider contacting his wife. But when he saw Maya giving flirty smiles to Sanjay, his fury reached a new level and this time he was going to blow up. His scowl deepened when he saw Sanjay giving him the same flirty smiles he gave to every another woman.

'How could he do that to my wife?' Sid thought with bitterness. When he saw Maya stepping closer towards Sanjay, his body started shaking with fury and this time he thought, he was not going to control it.

Sid couldn't think of anything else other than Maya whereas Tanya was full on glaring at Sid for ignoring her. She was trying to catch his attention for some time now but he was busy watching her hideous wife. Tanya had been trying so hard from two years to grab Sid's attention since she had laid eyes on him. She had tried everything but today was the first time Sid gave her the response she had always wanted but her ugly wife would have to snatch that too.

Tanya never liked Maya. She thought Maya was too horrid to be with Sid and she was the only one who deserved Sid and all his attention. But she was failing miserably as Sid started walking towards the direction where Maya was still flirting with Sanjay.

Maya could hear the steps getting closer towards her. She knew it was Sid's. She had always been known. Her suspicions were proved right, when Sanjay gave a warning sign with his eyes while muffling his laugh in a cough and continued his brilliant performance.

'Oh yeah? Then let's have some fun, handsome' Maya smirked while gliding her finger on the side of Sanjay's face. She knew Sid was near. When her finger passed by Sanjay's lips, Sid pushed him back with such a force that Sanjay hardly control his footing.

Maya could feel the heat radiating from Sid whose breathing was ragged and his chest was heaving up and down with anger. She smirked internally seeing him tasting his own medicine like this.

'What are you doing?' Maya composed herself and snapped at him in anger.

'What the hell dude?' Sanjay snapped while controlling his feet.

Mischief was dancing in Sanjay's eyes but Sid was too blind in his anger to see it. One thing was only on his mind and that was how to kill the person standing in front of him. His instincts were all heightened with the fury flowing in his veins and he would have surely pounced on Sanjay if Maya didn't have blocked his way.

Maya knew she was the only one who could control Sid in this state, so she stepped in front of her husband while Sanjay stood behind her, crossing his arms in front of himself, with a smirk.

Sid was full on shaking now with all the built up jealousy and anger that he could only see red.

'What's your problem Sid?' Maya snapped at him again.

'Yeah dude, what's your problem?' Sanjay asked while smirking.

'My problem! You are asking what's my problem?!' Sid barked in disbelief.

'I should be the one asking, what are you doing with him?' Sid snapped in anger while pointing his finger towards Sanjay.

'What I'm doing? It's not your concern' Maya asked while pointing her one finger at Sid and the other hand resting on her waist.

Sid's eyes widened in disbelief and his anger topped the notch.

'Not my concern?! Damn it, I'm your husband for god's sake' Sid snapped with full of anger.

'I'm doing nothing. It's just flirting you know. I'd say healthy flirting' Maya said while tapping her finger on her chin.

'Healthy Flirting?! What do you mean healthy flirting? Flirting can never be healthy. What are you talking about exactly?' Sid barked in exasperation.

Maya could barely control her laugh while she could hear Sanjay stifling his laugh in cough.

'Yeah you know, healthy flirting. That's what you guys say isn't it?' Maya asked him with a raised eyebrow.

Sid's face contorted in confusion, hearing Maya's words. 'What is she talking about?' He thought.

'You were the one who told Sanjay that flirting is healthy, didn't you?' Maya said while raising her one eyebrow, challenging him.

Sid couldn't decipher what she was saying.

'I was doing what you were doing you know, making myself healthy with flirting. I must say it feels really good.' Maya stated with a smirk while her arms were crossed in front of her. Sanjay couldn't control himself anymore and he started laughing hysterically.

When Sid looked up towards Sanjay laughing wildly, the realization dawned on him and his eyes widened in disbelief.

'What?!' Sid exclaimed in surprise.

'Yeah, I was doing what you were doing with that woman. I thought you should taste your own medicine a bit.' Maya told him while stifling her laughs.

Sid couldn't believe what he was hearing. Maya only did all of this to make him jealous. She really did this to teach him a lesson. Sid couldn't decide, he should laugh or get angrier.

'So it was all a lie?!' Sid asked again to conform it.

'Yup' Maya smiled in triumph.

Sid shook his head in his hands. He couldn't believe Maya could do all of this.

'This woman never fails to amaze me. I don't know what I'd do without her' he thought in amazement.

Sid grabbed Maya's hand and pulled her towards himself. Maya couldn't fight the blush rising on her cheeks while she glanced up towards Sid's loving eyes. They still mesmerized her the way they did all those years back. His shallow breath fanned over her face while her heart still raced vigorously in her chest.

'So you still love me?' Sid cupped her chin in his thumb and forefinger.

Their breaths mingled with each other while Sid slid his arm around Maya's waist and pulled her closer towards him.

'Yup' Maya smiled and inched her face closer to Sid, eager to close the gap between them. Sid couldn't get tired out hearing those same words again and again. He couldn't control his frantic heart beat seeing the love of his life even after all of these years. She still took his breath away.

When their lips brushed with each other, Sanjay coughed loudly in the background after becoming a third wheel. He couldn't control his discomfort seeing both his best friends even after all of these years. Maya laughed at Sanjay's gagged expressions while Sid kissed his cheek. Maya's cheeks inflamed in embarrassment as she covered her face with her hands while Sid's and Sanjay's laughs echoed in the background.

After an another hour without any drama, Maya and Sid bid adieu to Sanjay and was walking towards their car when Sanjay's mobile ring started blasting loudly in the parking lot. Sanjay picked it out of his pocket and stare at the unknown number on the screen.

'Hey Sugar' someone slurred in the phone when Sanjay accepted the call. He immediately recognized the voice.

'You Motherf*cker, keep your filthy bartender hands away from my wife' Sanjay barked in the phone and cut the call.

Maya laughed loudly beside him hearing those words.

'You gave my number to him?' Sid asked in disbelief. He was trying so hard not to give away a smile. He couldn't believe it. This amazing, beautiful, clever and witty woman was his wife.

'Yup' Maya grinned while her eyes danced in mischief.

The wind picked its pace outside while their laughs echoed in the empty parking lot.
