Time to go home
He had strange dreams that night and at some point he swore he thought he saw something at the foot of the bed watching them both, but it vanished as soon as he lifted his head. It must be his mind playing tricks as he doesn't sense any threats in the room. After that he instinctively searched for Luna in the dark making sure she is alright. He didn't intend to fall asleep next to her, and he is pretty sure she didn't either. But they were both exhausted from the energy spent in the hours of him being here; they couldn't find the strength to move to separate beds. Thankfully she is asleep soundly beside him and he sweeps an arm around her waist pulling her back into his chest giving the illusion he is protecting her. Although forbidden to his heart, it was a comfort he needed right now. Then he falls back asleep easily.

He wakes before she does, the toll of taking care of him must be weighing on her more than he knew. She has positioned herself facing him with one hand under her pillow supporting her head and the other resting on his chest. It was painful how badly he wanted this everyday of his life, he could only wish to wake up to someone so beautiful in his arms. But this wasn't for him, he would lose it eventually because nothing in this world lasts for him. He was meant for suffering.
He decides to take this opportunity to indulge in her beauty, but carefully so as not to wake her, knowing he will never get this chance again. He runs his fingers over her hair feeling how smooth it is and examining the mixture of colors each strand offers to create that creamy appearance. He draws lines down her delicate shoulder, provoking a breathy hum from her pretty mouth.
she is so soft...
His eyes follow his fingers carefully down, dipping into the deep curve of her waist, running up and over her hip and stopping just below the line of her dress that has bunched up enough to tease him. He does this several times, each time his boxers growing tighter and tighter and each time he slows his speed bc. He does this until her body begins to move and her eyes flutter open. He quickly pulls away hoping she hadn't noticed anything.
"Kakashi?"
He clears his throat.
"Yeah...I'm here..."
And her eyes widen at the sight of him.
"Oh my god!" She springs up backing away on her knees. "Forgive me kakashi, I didn't mean to fall asleep beside you. I was just watching the stars and...dammit... I must have fallen asleep by accident." She explains in a panic. "Are you upset? I shouldn't have done that...'' she covers her eyes with her hands cursing herself profusely.
"Luna."
She pauses to listen, face still buried in her hands covering her embarrassment.
"It's fine, I accidentally fell asleep too."
She peers up at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
She lets out a long sigh.
"Did you sleep ok at least? I sometimes hog the bed."
He chuckles.
"I slept ok and I barely noticed you." He lies.
"Phew, ok, well this is awkward. I'm glad you're ok with it." She looks up at the sun and shouts. "Gods! We slept in!"
She springs to her feet talking along the way.
"We have so much work to do today, we may have to go into the evening if you don't mind."
"That's fine." He replies standing up.
"Alright. The plan was to bathe in the spring first thing this morning but we missed dawn. So we will do it in the sunlight."
He swallows hard. Most people use springs without clothing,
"You have a spring here?"
"Yes, several and I have enhanced them to cleanse the body and balance the root chakra. It's very grounding, it will help with the game of Shogi we will play while we eat."
"Shogi?" He asks.
"Yes, Kakashi. But it isn't your typical game. I'll explain later, come on..let's get that bed head washed out."
He runs his hand through his hair.
"Is it that bad?"
She laughs and throws him a robe.
"Yes!"
"Alright, lead the way, miss."
———————————
It was a five minute walk to get to the hot spring. She had given him one of her robes to wear so he didn't feel so vulnerable out in the forest in just his boxers. He was thankful but also reluctant to wear floral print. She assured him he looked great, but her consistent giggles told him otherwise. He didn't mind so much though, as long as she held that beautiful smile he would do almost anything.
They finally make it to the spring, even though it was only a five minute walk in his weakened state it felt like eternity. But as the forest opened up to a small waterfall, jagged green rocks and the bluest water he had ever seen his exhaustion disappeared. He watches her approach the waters edge feeling a mist dampen his exposed skin. She looks back at him.
"After you." She says, smiling wide. He slides the robe off and walks heavy footed towards the edge of the spring. He can feel the heat rising from it and can smell the minerals it holds. He kneels down and hops in letting his body adjust to the heat . Then he finds a spot to sit down and relax. It was shallow around the edges with large stones placed perfectly forming grooves to sit in comfortably. The deeper part was by the waterfall which fell over glistening green jade stone and if the scenery wasn't beautiful enough add in streaming beams of sunlight through the trees that illuminated the water and Luna's impossible body in a dusty pink ruffled bikini.
He nearly passed out at the sight of her moving through the water towards him. She situates herself beside him close enough to cause him some problems. He had no idea where to look, and everytime she said something he ended up staring down at her breasts. It was much easier just to stare at the rocks ahead.
"You should rinse out your hair." She says, eyeing him up.
He lifts his hand to scratch the back of his head and feels a thick section of hair that has stuck together, mostly likely from blood. Slightly embarrassed at the fact he has been walking around with blood in his hair this whole time he attempts to untie the knot holding his head band on to wash it out. But his fingers don't quite have the agility to do so, after a few minutes his arms begin to tire and he loses his strength cursing under his breath.
"Here, let me."
She moves in close and turns his body by his shoulders so she can see the back of his head. He feels her fingers move the blood stained mess of hair to the side then she unravels the headband and places it on a rock beside him. Then her hands reach for his mask, he tries to turn around but his body just won't do it and she pulls his mask down uncovering his face. Thankfully he was facing away from her. He doesn't like showing his face much, it always made him feel open to criticisms. He can hide his feelings much better behind a mask.
"This will take awhile, it's better if I do it." She assures.
He takes a deep breath in trying not to picture the tips of her breasts brushing against his shoulder blades. He closes his eyes trying to think of something else, then an energy around him starts to prickle his skin and a small orb of water lifts from the pool and floats over her head dripping onto his hair.
"Relax." She says and scoots forward.
She leans his body back into hers and he lets go of his tensions immediately but not voluntarily. Somehow she has a hold of his body again forcing him to do what she wants. This time he is conscious of it.
"Luna...." He starts only to be shushed.
"Shhhh...listen to the water. Feel it's vibration." She weaves her fingers into his hair as drops of water trickle down above him. The tips of her fingers seem to send small vibrations through his scalp relieving his tension and soothing his previous injury. She presses them into the thick of his hair in massaging circles sending blissful shivers down his spine and he lets himself go completely.
"Mmm." He hums.
"There is so much energy here, if you were to use your chakras you would have perfect control." She says and continues to scrub the rest of his hair out. That reminds him of why he came here in the first place. To gain chakra control and find ninja carrying his next dojutsu eye. But it was hard to focus on his thoughts with magical hands working out his stress.
"How...hmmm...do you...know all of....yeah right there..."
He can feel her wiggle behind him as she giggles.
"If you had a tail it would be wagging." She laughs
He smiles at her comment realizing she had just made him her pet in a sense. He was becoming more docile the more time he spends with her, which is very unlike himself. But, he couldn't help it and maybe he was starting to like it.
She finished her massaging and gently pushed him forward giving him back his movement.
"That's some kind of seal you got there, not many can subdue me like that." He says, then splashes water on his face to clean it and pulls up his mask.
"What seal?" She asks. He turns around to meet her confused expression. Is she trying to hide it now?
"Oh come on sweetheart, I know when jutsu is being used."
"I only used my chakra to assist me with your hair washing."
"Yeah, and you took control of my body to do it, just like when you lifted me onto the horse and went into my memories, and took the pain from my body."
"Kakashi, I would never use your body like that. Not without permission, everything you had done here in this pool was all on your own. As for your memories, if I didn't go into your memories I wouldn't be here right now." And the seriousness on her face brings him more confusion. Is it true his body had betrayed him? That maybe subconsciously he wanted this to happen. This isn't like him, something is wrong...
"How do you know all about chakras and jutsu, yet you claim you're not kunoichi? Are you lying to me?" He is starting to get angry with her, it was one thing to hide the truth but to straight out lie to his face pisses him off more than anything. If she is able to disable him so quickly then she may not be what she says she is. It was all starting to come together, the excessive need to care for him, the clever play of words, the way she seduces him without him noticing, it was all a ploy for something. But he can't tell what....at least not yet.
She sits stunned without saying a word.
"Come on! Tell me the truth. What the hell is going on here?" He takes an aggressive step forward and she stands backing away.
"There's nothing going on here, you have done this all on your own. I have no control over your actions. You only do what you want to do and I am not responsible for it."
"Bullshit. What is the purpose of all this anyways? Heal me up, and then what?" He presses on as the rage builds inside.
"You can go." She says simply.
It's never as easy as that.
"I think you're planning something." He replies suspiciously
"You're overthinking this. If I crossed your boundaries again, I'm sorry. But it is very confusing when you look at me the way you do and get angry when I act on it." She looks away holding her arms as if she was shivering from a cold.
"I don't look at you in any way." He lies.
Her brows furrow, something he hasn't seen yet and it is both infuriating and attractive at the same time.
"You're mad at me now? I don't know how that is possible as I'm not the one taking control over everything."
A few tears slip down her cheeks, and if he wasn't so angry with her he would be feeling the shame of it.
"I think you should take some time to yourself. Reflection may be something you need right now and I can't help you to heal wounds from the past you wish to keep open. You have to do that part on your own." She replies and walks past him then steps out of the pool. She leaves him there alone not without saying one last thing as she puts her robe on.
"You will have to make it back to the house by yourself. Or...if you choose, you may leave. But I don't recommend it."
He is left standing in the pool by himself fuming about her.
She still hasn't answered his question about the seals and her chakra use, she has only skirted around it. He was missing something here and the longer he stays in her presence the more he falls under her spell. Who knows how long she will keep him here...
He sits back down trying to calm his nerves.
What if she was telling the truth? If she is, then she is truly just trying to help him. But why? No one in this world has that pure of a heart, she must want something or why go through all this trouble? Why would she risk her life to save him? Why would she wait on him hand and foot to make himself feel whole again? What would she get out of it?
It was then he began to really reflect on the situation. He starts to count from the beginning all that she has done for him. She really had saved his life, and Ninja code states that saving lives is first priority. If she is following this code then she must be kunoichi. If that's true, then why is she lying about it?
But what does it matter if he's leaving? Soon he will be in his warm bed by himself not resisting a beautiful blonde temptation. He swore never to get close to someone and he has betrayed himself over and over again. His conscience tells him to go, but his heart wants him to stay, and his mind? Well it's a fucking mess.
He runs a frustrated hand through his hair cursing out loud.
"Fuck sake."
Decision made...He will go home. Some things just aren't worth the trouble, and she has been trouble since they first met.
He spends a few more hours contemplating in the pool while he heals himself a bit more. Finally when he feels ready he leaves the pool with her robe and heads back to her house to get his clothes.
