Ellie didn't remember her first home very much, but she knew they were good people. It was two woman, Kimberly and Andrea, they were sweet, gentle with her, they took her in when she was one, gave her up when she was three, they didn't want to, but money was tight and they couldn't afford a baby. They kept in contact with her, they sent her gifts for Christmas and birthdays, they were there for her when she was scared for where her life would go.

The next was a nice guy, Ashton, though he was just out of college, training to be a teacher, he took her in when she was 4, gave her up when she was 6 because of his family, he promised to keep in contact when she had to go away, he fulfilled that promise, he helped out at the foster home whenever he was free.

Then there was Robert, he wasn't the best dad in the world, but he was still a dad. He bought Ellie the stuff she needed for comfort, let her have contact with her past foster parents, knew the things that helped with her anxiety, the only down side was that he was a drug dealer, which was why she got taken away at 10.

And after Robert, there was David. He was a good man to start, he had a nephew a few years older than her that lived with them. But that was before he caught her, she could barely remember the name of the girl she kissed, but she remembered everything after. she remembered the yelling, the crying, the feel of his hand slapping her cheek, and then the feeling of his hands on her, she went though that for 4 years, up until she was 14.

And then there was Joel, Joel seemed like a breath of fresh compared to the last 8 years of her life, he cared for her, he got her every piece of comfort she needed, he got interested in her hobbies, even dumb comics and jewellery, he got her blankets and plushies, got her every little thing she needed to help her mind.
