Mentions of sexual assault, rape and child abuse/rape

Ellie Williams sat alone in a dark, cold room, listening to the man downstairs, listening to the butchering of meat.

She heard the man humming a sadistic tune, the sound of another man walking around outside her room, torturing her with very step, every creak of the floor board, every small shadow under her door.

She looked at her phone, it barley had any charge, he didn't let her charge it more than once each day, but it had enough charge to make a call.

She typed in the familiar number.

"Hello?" The woman asked from over the phone.

"H-help...please help me Tess" Ellie sobbed, curling up in bed.

"Are you at David's?" Tess asked, Ellie made a small noise of confirmation.

"I'll be there soon"

Ellie sat on the couch of the common area of Firefly foster home, inspirational posters on each wall.

Ellie tried not to think about everything that happened at David's home, or Roberts, or any other foster home that never worked out.

She checked the clock on the wall, Tess was off talking to a guy willing to take her in, but it wouldn't work out, they never did.

She rested her head on her arm, running her finger over the hidden scar under her arm, another reminder of her days with David.

She heard the door to the common room open, Tess walked in, looking around the foster kids until her eyes landed on Ellie, the sad, scared 14 year old girl.

Tess gave her a small signal for her to come out the room, which Ellie did, walking out the loud room to the quiet corridor.

"Alright, so the guy seems really good, he's around early 40's, lost his kid when he was young and had been wanting to take care of a foster kid" Tess said, smiling softly.

"Annnnnddddd? Where's the bad side?" Ellie asked, Tess sighed.

"You need to stop thinking that every person who wants to foster you has a bad side, he seems genuinely sweet" she kissed her forehead.

"He's coming by tomorrow morning, don't be too nervous" Tess smiled as they walked upstairs to Ellie's room in the attic.

"I'm never nervous" Ellie joked, Tess laughed hard.

"S-Sorry" she breathed out, smiling at her.

"Fuck off Tess" Ellie smiled, Tess chuckled as Ellie flopped down on her bed.
