Chapter 29- The Final Hogsmeade Trip

It was here, and it was sad.

Posters were strung up on the bulletin board in the common room, speaking of it- bright yellow flyers with black ink, and a neat red pin sticking it to the board.

"We're going right?" Ron asked that morning when they looked at the bulletin board. "To the last Hogsmeade trip?"

Hermione and Harry both nod their heads. "To think that this is our last trip to Hogsmeade is incredible. And- sad." Hermione says at the end, and her voice falters. Harry puts an arm around the both of them, and they do the same so that they are all in a group hug.

"We have to make sure we see each other after Hogwarts- no way could I live without the two of you. Ever." Harry says to them. Hermione responds with a sniffle and nod and Ron with a sad smile.

"Like we could actually leave each other after all we've done together." He says. "We battled a mountain troll in the girls restroom-"

Ron wipes his eyes, Hermione dabs at hers and Harry rubs his own, pushing his glasses up for a second before letting them fall back into place.

"So to answer your question, Ronald- yes, we are going to Hogsemeade. And we're going with our friends too." Hermione says with a watery smile, and the other two grin back at her.

~~~~~
"Hurry Luna, hurry!"
"I'm going as fast as I can!"
"Come on- we have to beat them!" Ron yells, clapping his hands.
Harry, Ron, and Neville stood at the end of the road, right in front of Honeydukes. The girls, Luna, Hermione, and Ginny, who was now in a happy relationship with Neville, were racing to see who could get to the finish line first.
When you got to the finish line you had to high five your boyfriend to win. Hermione, almost surprisingly, was in the lead, sprinting straight at Harry, who was beaming, with Ginny and Luna only three strides behind her.
"Hermione, I'm coming in hot!" Ginny yells.
"Eat my dust!" Hermione says back just as she high fives Harry and fistpumps the air, panting. "Looks like we won."
Ginny and Luna both high five Ron and Neville at the same time, so they had no true idea who came in second. They enter Honeydukes, since it was right there- they had all agreed to visit every single shop in all of Hogsmeade, get their final butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks, and then call it quits and head home.
They had also agreed to try and buy one of everything.
They each leave Honeydukes with a enormous bag of candy, which was filled with candies that was both their favorite, and some that they'd never head of before. Hermione drags them all into a bookstore, proceeding to buy seven books in a pristine bag. Harry shoves everyone into the Apothecary, where he looks longingly at the owls, mourning his lost one, and the others buy food for their pets. Ron tugs them into a jokeshop inspired buy his brothers, where he tears up and buys everything, everyone else doing the same. Ginny pushes the group into a broomstick selling store, where many of them buy things for their brooms. Neville then carts them all into a plant shop, where Harry buys Hermione a flower, saying that it didn't even come close to her beauty.
Finally, their fingers aching from carrying all of their bags and their feet heavy from walking all day, the group falls into the Three Broomsticks, where they sit down at an extremely large table and drink their butterbeer,laughing at the old days and old memories that they had at Hogwarts.
"Honestly, I'm sort of glad that my sixth year at Hogwarts counted- now I get to graduate with you all." Ginny says, smiling. "I mean, I would've been fine, but honestly? Graduating with my friends is much better."
Hermione frowns, taking a swipe of the foam on top of her drink. "I don't want to leave. We've made so many memories here- and besides, where else am I going to find a library this big?"
Harry grins. "At our house, I'll make sure we have room for a library- even larger than the one here."
"The two of you are moving in together?" Neville asks. When they both nod, Neville smiles. "I'm happy for you two- I really am."
"I'm going to help him take care of Teddy too- so that way he actually learns things that matter, rather than learning how to blow up the kitchen table." She eyes Harry and Ron, Harry grinning and Ron whistling and pretending to look away.
"Hey Luna- want to move in with me?" Ron asks her.
Luna smiles. "I'd love to."
"Harry, Hermione- are you two going to get a house or apartment?"
Harry responds for them, running a hand through his hair. "House- why?"
"Because we're moving in next door."
~~~~~

When they all get home that evening, everyone is drop dead tired. They all go to sleep, all except for Hermione, who still needs to take her shower before bed.

She heads to the shower, bringing a white robe and pajamas with her. She uses the bathroom for the Head Girl- why not, it belonged to her for this year.

She decides to take a bath instead, for it sounds much more relaxing than standing in the shower. She enters the bathroom, turning on the water and putting in her own vanilla bubbles. She then strips down, setting her clothes next to the bathtub and climbing into the water. The bubbles were so high that they touch her chin, and she smiles to herself. She had been right, this was much more relaxing.

She closes her eyes and leans back getting her hair wet to the roots and starting to wash it with her shampoo. She's just finishing washing out the conditioner when she hears a loud scream that makes her jump out of her skin.

The scream had echoed loudly, as if whoever it was had been in the bathroom with her. Fear tingles up Hermione's spine, and she looks around the bathroom to see nothing but pale pink walls. The bubbles were gone now, and the water was crystal clear. She decides that she can't just sit here, and the only thing she could do was get out.

She climbs out of the bathtub, and decides that she doesn't have enough time to change. She slips the fluffy white robe over her naked body and ties it tight around her waste, grabbing her wand. She transfigures her clothes into three pens, which she slips into her pocket, her wand still ready.

And then she hears the scream again. Her wet head whips toward the direction of the scream-left- to see a hallway that she hadn't noticed before. She runs towards it, anxious to help whoever was in there screaming.

She turns down the hallway and stops dead. Lying sprawled on the floor is a girl, a small pool of blood spilling out around her. Hermione rushes to her side and turns her over.

The girl was still breathing, and she had a jagged piece of glass in her hand, which was bloody as well. Had she really.... had she stabbed herself? Certainly not- it sounded as if someone else was hurting her.

But then, before Hermione could react, the girl reaches out with her arm and slashes Hermione's neck with the glass.

And then Hermione wakes up, panting.

She looked around- she was still in the bathroom, still in the bathtub as a matter of fact. The water was in fact clear now, the bubbles long gone. Hermione had been sitting on a built in ledge in the tub, her head resting on the side- these tubs were as big as swimming pools.

Had she really fallen asleep while she was taking a bath?

Hermione gingerly feels her throat, and there is no cut. She touches her hair with her fingertips to see that it was still creamy from the conditioner.

The dream had scared Hermione, and so she hurried up and washed her hair out, climbing out of the bath and pulling her pajamas on. She casts a concealing charm over her body and gripping her wand tightly. She grabs her soap, dirty clothes, and robe, straightens her nightgown, and hurries out of the bathroom.

When she finally reaches the Portrait Hole, she takes off the concealing charm to receive a tsk tsk from the Fat Lady.

"Out late, are we Miss Granger?"

"I didn't mean to- I fell asleep." Hermione rushes, to explain, and then sighs in frustration, giving her the password to enter- it was no use explaining what had happened to a portrait.

She enters the common room to find it empty. She considers knocking on the boys dormitory and asking for Harry, but then she decides against it- she felt like she bugged him too much.

She can't find any sort of reason to go to her dorm, and for some reason the idea of going up there scares her, so she lies down on the couch, staring into the fire until her eyes grow heavy and close.

I'm very sorry- this chapter is a little late. But I was pressed for time, and honestly? I'm freaking tired.

Anyways, I don't have much to say right not, except that I love and appreciate all of you, I'm sorry if you don't like this chapter, I hope you do, but if you don't that's okay.

Good night, or morning, or afternoon- whatever.
