"Hard to believe you'd say I'm not a monster."
Kai said in a raspy tone as I he moved away to sit back on the couch.
I giggled softly to myself while turning back to him to look him in the eye.
"A monster is a creature that doesn't exist, and just saying."
I smirked to myself holding out my hand with my plan facing up.
He glanced at it for a moment before I slowly went to grab his hand.
"You seem pretty real to me, though your report said you break out whenever you come in contact with someone yea?"
I questioned which Kai just took his hand from my and rested it back in his lap.
He did nod after a second of glaring though.
"Well I guess it doesn't happen with me, so I'm happy to have you stay here. Just as long as you don't break anything."
"Do you take me for some kind of child?"
He asked sarcastically which was a step up since he hadn't exactly seemed very comfortable until now.
And even then he didn't seem like he was going to be making himself at home at any point soon.
"If I did, you'd be upstairs in bed with nothing but a shitty plastic toy to keep you company. After all you did technically murder a hero today, and caused me a lot of paper work."
I teased hoping it would make him laugh but it didn't do much.
Granted I didn't expect a full on laughing fest but all I got was a chuckle, more like a forced sigh.
"My life's work is gone, and in this world having a purpose is basically the only real point to life isn't it?"
He asked coldly while crossing his legs and running a hand through his hair.
It was interesting to see him without gloves or a mask on, but that was more or less because I didn't have any in the house.
"Well, I literally get used to almost kill people on a daily basis, and then heal them for the government. So uh no?"
I giggled to myself thinking about the whole situation.
Sure being a hero was fun and all but mostly it sucked when I was ripping people to shreds most of the time.
"So you're a government sanctioned angel of death."
Kai said simply while I just blinked a few times trying to understand his words.
I had only heard that term used in the FBI or CIA.
Normally they didn't really even use terms like that anymore.
Hell only reason I knew about it was cause Hawks wouldn't shut up about it for the first month I worked with him.
"I guess you could call it that, regardless are you hungry? I can get some food or I can cook I don't exactly mind."
I offered watching Kai tilt his head in confusion before scoffing to himself.
"You said it yourself, I am a murderer. Why would someone like you chose to treat me as an equal when anyone else would've thrown me in a jail cell with barley any room to move."
"Kai, from what I read you were raised by the Yakuza and that in itself doesn't make for a fun childhood I assume. Plus the fact that they lost their power over the years, I could see why you're mad. As far as I'm concerned I probably would've done the same thing if I was you."
I admitted while resting my head back against the couch cushion and closing my eyes.
Kai shifted a bit but I wasn't sure which way or why.
"You read all that from a file they had on me, but yet I don't exactly know anything about you. That's troubling isn't it?"
He asked in a somewhat harsh tone.
I just laughed to myself while turning my head to look at him.
He had shifted towards me it was just his legs a tiny bit but it was nice to see he wasn't completely on edge now.
"Not much to know, my parents separated when I was a kid. They had me cause my dad wanted to pass down his quirk being dark matter, my mom wanted to pass down hers which is 'heavens embrace' so here I am. They both work out of the country and my only real person I can talk to is Hawks because he knew my parents and he knows how annoying they are."
I explained waving my hand slightly to exaggerate my point a bit more.
Kai watched intently still studying my body and how it moved from what I could tell.
"When you were living at your base where did you sleep? Your desk or your bedroom? And be honest with me."
I questioned watching Kai narrow his glare on me for a second.
"Desk, it was much cleaner than my bedroom anyways."
He hissed at the sentence while I just nodded.
"I have my office you could sleep in or I have a few spare bedrooms in this house. You can take one of those though I don't clean them everyday so they might be a bit dusty. You could also sleep with me if you'd like, I wouldn't mind the company."
I suggested which was probably a bit too bold but after all the healing I had done today, I was too tired to care.
Kai raised a brow at me in suspicion as I just left my half lidded eyes flutter shut once more.
"We can sleep in the same bed, in that case."
He said after a solid minute of him thinking to himself.
I smiled happily while sitting up and stretching my back.
"Come with me then, I hope you don't mind I won't be sleeping in this though."
I motioned down to my dress while ushering him up the stairs with me.
The house was huge so there were plenty of doors and glass panes everywhere so it looked very modern to say the least.
We walked past a few doors to finally get to my room at the end of the hall.
Opening the door I could still smell the candle I had lit the night before along with the silk white bed covered with pillows in the center of the room.
Everything else was scattered around more with furniture pressed up against the walls and some other stuff sitting on one of the chairs.
"This is my room, I don't know if you're tired yet but I will need you to stay with me to make sure you aren't doing anything to get in trouble."
I giggled walking inside my room and slipping my shoes off, then watching Kai do the same.
Going to the drawer beside my bed I opened it to see a few bottles of pills, some hair ties, and just what I was looking for, handcuffs.
Pulling them out I watched Kai take off his jacket and set it down on the couch in front of the room.
Also loosening his tie somewhat so it didn't look like it was a noose waiting to hang him.
Clink
I held the handcuffs by the chain hearing the metal Clink together which caught Kai's attention.
"Handcuffs?"
He questioned now walking towards me to get a better look at what I was holding.
"Yep, I'm not gonna like this as much as you but it's either you're handcuffed to me or the bed."
I smirked knowing that inuendo was definitely not going unnoticed.
Kai glared while taking his tie fully off and setting it on the bed.
"You it is then."
He said simply while I nodded and grabbed the hem of my dress.
He grabbed my wrist as I did so.
"What are you doing?"
"I said I wasn't sleeping in my dress, so bra and panties is fine I think. I'm sure a Yakuza leader can handle sleeping in the same bed as a woman."
I taunted wiggling my brow just to tease him.
All I got was a death glare and Kai yanking the cuffs from my hand.
"Let's Get This over with."
He said clicking the handcuffs to his wrist then mine.
"These are nullifying handcuffs as well, neither of us can use our quirks now. So I hope you can sleep for a while."
I said simply while getting up into bed and pulling Kai with me.
Yanking the sheets up I could feel the cold silk against my legs.
The handcuff was definitely uncomfortable but I didn't exactly mind since I was able to get comfortable laying on my side facing Kai.
"If you're going to sleep in that, I genuinely think you're crazy."
I said opening my eyes briefly to look at Kai again.
He was still in his dress shirt and jeans so there was no way that was comfortable.
"Just Sleep already."
