dragging my suitcase up the stairs aja and jack opened the door for me and helped me with my bags. they knew i was coming to phx but kahleah doesn't.

their here for the same reason and that's to support her during one of her most difficult times but they got here last night.

"she's in her room" aja said.

"omg she's gonna be so happy" jackie squealed.

i walked into her room as she watched tv. she looked over at me and gasped.

"mama wyd here ?" she asked happily.

"i came to see you baby. ik your in pain right now so i thought i would come surprise you" i said bending down to hug and kiss her.

"here i got you flowers and chocolate covered strawberries" i said handing them to her.

"aww thank you baby. i love them" she smiled.

i gave aja and jack a thumbs up and they smiled and nodded before closing the door leaving me and kahleah alone in her room.

"how's your back baby ?" i asked changing into something more comfortable.

"hurts. i'm constantly in pain" she said as she laid on her side.

"want me to massage it ?"

"please ?" she asked with hope in her eyes. omg she's so cute i just love her and her whole life.

"ofc" i said. she turned on her stomach and i got on top of her sitting on her butt so that i could massage her back.

i gently rubbed around her back bone i could hear her groan.. her back is super tight so she's most definitely in pain.

moving up slowly, i gently rubbed her back bone. "babe you have magical hands" she said making me giggle.

"does this hurt ?" i asked and she nodded her head no.

"okay well let me know if anything hurts love" i said and she nodded.

"what's the longest you've slept ?" i asked her.

"4 hours with pain pills & 3 without them" she said.

"my poor baby.. you losing a lot of sleep." i replied.

"well your hands are making me sleepy" she yawned.

"gts baby" i said kissing her.

"i love you" she mumbled to me.

"i love you more" i said still rubbing her back lightly. a few minutes later i slowly got off of her and walked into the living room where aja and jack was.

"hey yall" i said sitting down.

"hey is leah okay ?" jack asked.

"ohh yeah i just put her to sleep.. finally cus she said she was losing a lot of it" i said.

"yeah she has we tried giving her sleeping medicine but she'll only sleep for so long" aja said.

"so can she walk ?" i asked.

"not really. she'll walk and then have to sit down. she walk with a hump in her back obviously cus she can't stand up straight but it's uncomfortable for her so" jackie said and i nodded.

"but she will walk for a few seconds maybe even a minute" aja added.

"my poor baby" i mumbled.

kahleah🐐.

i slowly got up after 2 minutes of struggling and walked into the living room.

"baby what are you doing out of bed ?" gabby asked me.

"i was getting lonely but i was struggling to get out of bed" i said sadly.

"aww come here.. you could've just called one us baby we would've came to help you" she said helping me sit down.

"right don't do that leah we here to help you & it's okay to need help sometimes. you could've called for us and you got our number you could've texted" jackie said.

"ik im sorry" i mumbled.

"it's okay love we just want you to know that you got us whenever you need us."

"thank you guys" i smiled.

"ofc yk we gotchu bestie girl" aja said.

"bae ?" i said quietly.

"yes baby ?" gabby asked looking up from her phone.

"can i have ice cream ?" i asked.

"ofc, what kind my love ?" she asked.

"cookies and cream" i smiled and she smiled back at me and nodded.

kc15_: year 7 is bittersweet 🥹.. it's everything i wanted & more but i suffered a szn ending injury and fractured my back bone. i worked so hard time and time again to get this far & it's honestly so discouraging at times but ik God got me and imma continue to work hard. im focusing on healing & coming back better than ever next szn. from the back pain, to no sleep, to not even being able to walk is such a major setback but im still grateful cus ik everything happens for a reason. see you next year phx 🖤🤞🏾. #2 out 🐐.

"thank you love" i said.

"let me go get a blanket" she said and i nodded.

a few seconds later she came back with a blanket and she gave aja and jackie one too. she got on the couch beside me and i laid my head on her chest.

"your back okay my love ?" she asked.

"yes thank you" i replied.

"ofc lemme know if you need anything else okay ?" she said and i nodded.

we shared a kiss & we could hear aja and jack being messy.

"aww so cute" jack said.

"yall so messy" i said giggling.

"we love, love" aja said smiling.

i saw gabby taking pictures of me making me giggle and hide my face ion look my best right now. i laid my head on her chest and she kissed my cheek making me smile.
