"no cus she really called me a snitch" i said as we sat in the living room.

"well it's what's best and she'll understand that soon" aja said.

"no cus she said f*** all of us" jackie said sighing.

a few minutes later she came downstairs. she went to the pantry i could tell she was struggling because of her back but ofc she not gone ask for help cus she mad at me right now.

i got up and went to the pantry grabbing it for her.

"ion need yo help" she said aggressively.

"okay then lemme see you get the snack you want" i said standing by the door. i watched as she struggled.

"here mama" i said handing it to her.

i walked back into the living room and sat down.

"kahleah we're sorry" jackie said.

"don't be it is what it is" she said.

"then why are you acting like that ?"

"because i worked so hard to be at my best and this injury is a major setback for me but i overcame it"

"and not only that but my own gf and best friends are trying to hold me back" she said making me look at her shocked me.

"me ?? trying to hold you back ?? kahleah bffr! i did this so you could continue playing basketball at a healthy rate. i support you in any and everything that you do!"

"i get it your p*ssed but for you to even think for a d*** second that im tryna hold you back is crazy! as long as im breathing imma forever support you period" i said.

"okay but yk how important basketball is to me and it feel like like you just took that sh** from me gabby. i can learn to work around this injury im healing and i feel good" she said raising her voice.

"why you gotta yell tho baby ?? like i get it but you gotta understand that im doing what's best for your body even if it don't seem like it" i said.

"yeah okay. yall just don't like to see me happy" she mumbled.

"wait hold the h*ll on now.. ik you just did not. i all i want is to see you happy nothing less. i support you in everything you do and you thinking that im tryna hold you back is crazy as h*ll kahleah."

"im yo best friend and all i want you to be happy as h*ll. i wanna see you on that d*** court but not under these circumstances leah so imma need you to get that straight cus i will NEVER wanna see you fall" jackie said.

"WHAT SHE SAID. aint no hating sh** over here we happy for each other." aja said.

"baby all 3 of us want what's best for you, we want you to be happy, we want you to play basketball again, but we also want you to be as healthy as possible" i said.

"i am healthy tho. my body feels amazing" kahleah said.

"please just don't tell my coach" she begged.

"okay let's see how touch your toes! all the way" i said.

"if you can then fine i won't tell but if you can't you have to listen to the doctor" i added.

she looked at me and nodded. we watched her bend down and try to touch her toes. i could tell it didn't hurt but she was scared of hurting it again.

she sigh and rubbed her forehead.

"im sorry mama. it's what's best so please just take it easy until your next appointment. it's gonna happen for you soon" i said.

she sighed and walked back upstairs with no words. at this point idk what to do. she thinks that im tryna hold her back when thats most definitely not the case.

"lol no but you should come see me" i said to my sister.

"yeah im planning on coming this weekend actually" she said making me smile.

"good i miss you" i said.

"i miss you more sis" she said smiling.

"are you still ignoring gabby ?" she asked making my smile drop .

"im not ignoring her im just taking time for myself" i mumbled.

"kahleah you do realize she loves you right ?? she care about you so much" she said.

"ik" i mumbled.

"but she knows how important basketball is too me and for her to try and tell my coach is beyond me" i said.

"kahleah as your little sister, i would do the same thing because your putting your body in danger even more.. you gotta except the fact that your injured but your healing"

"i was hurt not to long ago and i get it you just wanna heal already but God knows what he is doing" she said.

"i don't know what to do without basketball" i said.

"find yourself.. the old you! the you that use to laugh constantly, the you that eats constantly, the you that makes jokes 24/7. take the time to find her cus your time comes to get back on that court your gonna be a beast" my sister said making me exhale.

"your not happy sis.. and it's okay not to be okay so take this time to find the happy you. we're all here for you." she added.

"your so smart.. thank you sis i really needed that" i said as i wiped my tears.

"ofc now go cry do whatever you need to do to get your feelings out ! just don't stay down to long. and call me in the morning" she said.

"okay.. i love you" i said.

"i love you forever sis".

we said our goodbyes and hung up. rhyne is right. im not my old self and i gotta find her. i walked to my room and sat down as tears fell down my face.

the way i just lost myself all because of an injury makes me think back to the old me. the happy me. i miss her & i don't wanna be this person anymore.

a few minutes later gabby came in. she sat her stuff down. ig she noticed my tears because of her facial expression.

"aww mama what's wrong ?" she asked pulling me up.

"idk.. im tired and i don't wanna be this person anymore.. i miss the old me the happy me" i cried into her shoulder.

"shhh it's okay baby.. your okay i promise. we're gonna help you find her but first you gotta start with forgiving yourself. your being to hard on yourself because of your injury and it's not your fault" she said.

"im sorry for everything, i was just so hurt and i was losing my mind without basketball" i said through my tears.

"your okay baby i understand. injuries can effect your mental health. take a deep breath mama you got it" she calmly told me.

"come on.. come tell me how you feel while i fix you your favorite ice cream" she said making me smile. she wiped my tears and grabbed my hand.

we walked to the kitchen & got ice cream before getting into bed. jack and aja both went to get their nails done so i'll talk to them tomorrow. im so glad i talked to my sister she always know what to do.

i feel like this is a big step into healing my mental health and im happy about starting the healing process. this is what i need and want.
