Chapter 9

🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃

Megatronus vented quietly as he flew over the nearest isolated town, thoughts deep in his processor. It would only be a mild annoyance to get his special human his needs, but the programming needed would be a glitch to operate. He hadn't had to activate his holomatter disguise in eons, so it was no doubt he'd be rusty.
Landing as smoothly as he could in a nearby abandoned farm, Megatronus slowed to a stop and transformed back to his bipedal form. Cradling Harry Potter in one of his servos, the mighty mech activated one of his oldest programs and began scanning the special human for critical data.
During the many minutes of scanning, Megatronus could see his human coming back online. His little body twitched lightly before Harry Potter's eyes flew open, glowing their electric green.
Thankfully, the little human didn't question Megatronus until the mech had relaxed his tense stance and blinked a few times.
"Where are we, Megatronus?" The mech couldn't help smiling down at his drowsy little charge. Harry Potter was just like a sparkling- unable to find his way using his data processor.
"We are currently on the outskirts of a little town near our headquarters. You require sustenance, and my ship lacks proper nutrients for humans." Harry Potter yawned as he relaxed further in Megatronus' servo, using one of his digits to prop him up.
"Mmm... Thanks. But what were you doing earlier, if I may ask?"
Megatronus chuckled as he lowered his special human to the field, encouraging Harry Potter to climb off. "Of course you can. I was merely scanning your internal systems for my holomatter programming. It is the only way for us Cybertronians to traverse alien planets without being suspected."
Harry looked up at the mech in wonder and not a little bit of doubt. "So, like, you can change your form to fit a humans?"
Megatronus merely smiled before transforming back into his alt mode. "I shall only need a few nanoclicks and it'll be ready."
Harry yawned again as Megatronus' voice echoed from his speakers, seemingly small in such a vast space.
"Boo."
Harry's eyes snapped open once more as he jumped, pulling his wand out and holding it ready as he whipped around, only to come face-to-face with a man around his mid-twenties with silvery white hair and piercing blue eyes.
Staring at the stranger, Harry raised an eyebrow, before lowering his wand to rest at his side. "Megatronus."
The man smiled widely, extending his arms and lifting his head in a very human-like stretch before relaxing back with a sigh. "Yes, in the fles- KILL!- as odd as that is."
Raising his wand slowly once more, Harry's smile dropped, and he watched Megatronus' eyes carefully, his 'spidey sense' tingling. "Megatronus?"
"Yes?" The hologram's smile dimmed lightly at being held at wand point, but Megatronus made no move for his weapons.
"Why did your eyes flash red?"
Processor flying at a hundred kilo knots an hour, Megatronus' head nearly overloaded. How was it possible his programming was sensing a different affiliation than his current one? And, indeed, why had he shouted 'kill'? It wasn't the first time he had reacted negatively to something related to humans. "I- do not know. In all honesty, Harry Potter, before you healed me, I was not in the right state of processor. It was as if something possessed me all those eons ago on Cybertron. However, it is of no matter. I should be able to figure out my processor with time."
The human seemed to notice the truth to his statement, but his servos began sparking bright blue licks of light. "But you shouldn't have to suffer. If you're right, and you actually did get possessed, the damage could be irreparable without a miracle. I could help."
Megatronus used his holoform to closely look at his special human, marveling at how generous a creature he was. "I would never turn down an offer of help, but I worry with your lack of sustenance. Healing me took a toll on your body last time."
"That is of no importance. Plus, it's only erasing whatever effects the possession left you with, nothing so stressful as bringing you back from the brink of death." Harry waved nonchalantly as he took a step closer to the guised mech and placed a hand on his shoulder, closing his electric eyes as the blue light began to swell and creep up Megatronus' chest.
The great Leader of the Decepticons hummed in acceptance as the magic quickly sprung from his human chest to his jaw, disappearing through his skin as it dove.
The odd feeling of the energy penetrating his processor through his holoform was such an alien feeling that Megatronus couldn't help but shake his head violently. Harry Potter dazedly shushed him, but his eyes remained closed, brows furrowed in concentration. Itching and twitching, sharp flares of pain and warnings popped up randomly in the mech's processor as Harry worked his magic.
Megatron growled as he opened his raging red eyes, hands going around the puny human's throat as the mighty mech lifted him up in the air. "What are you doing to me?!" He received no response however, and a strong pulse pushed the consciousness out of control.
"I demand you release my host, fleshbag. Continue this onslaught and you will be obliterated." Again, Harry ignored all warnings and dove further through the strange wiring of his mechanical companion's mind. Golden magic swirled around him as it held him aloft, out of harms way while held by the throat.
Harry's magic did all the work as he delved deeper into the strange mind, forcing the purple sludge away from panels and programs as it dove through tunnels and channels Harry could have never conceived before.
Pushing along this inner wiring, walls of pain suddenly slammed through the Arcane's body, but no force would stop his magic now. More and more waves of golden energy flowed from a bright blue glow in Harry's chest as the wizard convulsed under the ancient being's power. Purple and gold mist visibly fought in the air as opposite wills battled once more in an abandoned field in the middle of nowhere on a minuscule planet called Earth.
Winds howled and sudden rain fell from the sky as more and more power roiled in the one small plot of land. Magic saturated the air and tension brought lightning. All in a matter of minutes an entire storm was brewed between the powerful magicks. Messages passed in a dying language between the two entities with each clap of thunder. The spirits that manifested fought for their lives' domains once again, one for all of life, and the other, for all destruction.

Slowly, awareness trickled back into Harry's mind. Soreness in his muscles made their announcement first, and the wizard groaned as he made to shift, though his muscles refused to comply. Humming lightly, Harry squinted his eyes in his bright surroundings, only to notice a muscled chest directly next to his face. Widening his eyes in surprise, Harry squeaked before shutting them again, bringing his hands up to rub them in pain.
Freezing from rubbing his eyes for a moment, Harry cracked just one of his eyes open this time, and slowly looked up from the muscled chest to spot the human hologram of Megatronus staring directly at him with icy blue eyes. Squeaking again, Harry shut his eyes and tried to push away from Megatronus' chest, only to be met with resistance from the mech.
"Easy little one, your body is not yet recovered. Fighting the ancient energy of one of our gods takes a toll on the body."
Harry hummed in confusion as Megatronus wrapped him tighter in his arms, covering the tired man in blissful warmth and comfort that dulled his brain. "I will tell you later, for now, your body must recover once again. Go back into recharge, I will keep watch."
Despite Harry's muddled thoughts tripping over the fact he hadn't known the mech long at all, his heart rate slowed and the Arcane Healer slipped back into a pleasant sleep.
