Neil: The situation is....

Kk: Come on Neil.. Read it...

Avni opened her chit and was shocked on seeing what was written on it and was looking at Neil carefully observing his face which had a slight smile which vanished on seeing the situation.

Neil: The situation is the boy has to propose the girl.

Ali, dd and kk were the next ones to get shocked mainly dd as he only knew that avni is alive though kk met neilanjana and knew everything about avni but never saw her. Kk regretted for forcing Neil do participate while all dd and Ali could do was to pray for him as they thought he might breakdown any minute.

Avni decided to quietly leave the stage but was stopped by sahil and had to stay there. Sahil went to Neil and told him to do it as he did not know about neil's past.

With great difficulty Neil agreed to the request of all the people while kk tried to resist the people's request but was not able to.

Neil: (with a faint smile) For the birthday boy, do remember how it's done because I may not be always available to teach or correct you... Okay...!! 🙂

Neil went onto his knees with his arms resting on his thighs and head hung down. He thought about avni being present in front of him and started...

Neil: Avni.. (whisper) After I lost my first love I was living a life like a machine with a routine of on work and off equal to a black and white life.. All the colours were drained out, I restricted myself from all the pleasures and everything.

But one day a case came into my jurisdiction which caught my mind and it was a peculiar as the thief was not caught even once and the main thing was that the thief never left any clues of his robbery..

The case was CASE123, in which I was totally engrossed and I was trying to fullest to catch the thief.. In the process of discovering more about the thief I never knew when the smile which was lost from my face found its way back and when I was being happy again... Such was the effect of the case..

And then accidentally I met the thief who was a girl and we became friends. At first, we were at loggerheads but slowly friendship developed between us and after that I realize that the girl is only the thief but I was not able to arrest her as my heart was telling that it was wrong.

But again police officers should use their brain not their heart when comes to their duty. I informed the girl's mother that I am gonna arrest her daughter but she was not at all shocked she didn't even flinch when I said that.. When I asked her the reason she said that she can see love in my eyes for the girl and I was shocked but I didn't believe as I did not realize it still so I assured her that after my marriage I will surely arrest her daughter..

But life is also quite funny... The twist happened that the girl whom I was going to arrest was my bride in the veil. It was all a plan of her mother to get her justice.. After that life took a U-turn with so many unexpected situations and we together unravelled many emotions..

While we were onto the path of confessing our love my first love who was dead came back and then we found that I am having a child with her and the child is captive at the son of the lady who captured her and put up the act of her death..

Then what followed was the most important phase of my life where I understood what is the importance of my wife and also wherein I understood the reality of few people in my life whom I considered to be my friends..

It was the most twisted part of my life where I would have failed if not for my wife and after all of the drama we found Peace but that was also not long lasted as two of the most important people in my life left me one being my mother in law and the other being my wife herself..

From then and till now I've lived my life just like a corpse... Love for me is an emotion which is both your strength and weakness. It can build you up as a fighter and at the same time destroy you also.. It's a lifelong thing which is given to only one person in our life who is very much special and close to our heart..!!

So, will you accept my proposal after listening to all that love endured in my life..!! Will you become mine by accepting all if my flaws with my past..?

Saying this Neil extended his hand which was in his thigh for the girl to hold still with his head hung down. Avni was stunned listening to him. Her eyes welled up listening to him.

Finally coming out of her trance she held his hand. Neil immediately recognize her touch and lifted his head. They both had an eye lock for a few minutes and after that Neil left the place before his anger spoils the party.

Avni was stunned to see Neil's reaction and went after him. Ali also went after both of them.

Avni's pov

Why God? Why are doing this to me? Of all the situations written why should we get this situation only.?!

I was about to leave the stage but sahil uncle stopped me and I was continuously observing neil's face which was completely blank after reading the situation. And then after sometime he agreed to do the situation..

That moment when he said yes I was shocked for a bit but soon composed myself. Next he sat on his knees keeping his hands on his thighs but hung his head down and did not even look at the girl in front of him. I was scared at first what would happen but he handled the situation very well.

When I was busy on admiring him I heard my name in a mere whisper and when I searched for the source of it, it was Neil who took my name. Then I understood that he was remembering me to be in front of him.

I felt sad that even after my betrayal he still loves me so much and cares for me but I was not able to give him the love and care which he deserved.

Dayawanti was correct.. I am a bad omen and I don't deserve happiness and can never give happiness to anyone. The time from when I entered Neil's life, his life became a living hell with only problems in it..

I came out of my thoughts when Neil started enacting. He was describing our love story how we met, how we used to fight, how we got married, and the word love influenced our lives.. He was saying his heart out completely being oblivious that I am avni, the girl with whom he fell in love and the same girl who betrayed him..

After completing saying about us he extended his hand for me to hold.. I was in a dilemma to hold it or not but finally held it.. When our hands touched Neil looked up towards me.. His eyes were already welled up and when I held his hand his face again became blank and the tears were threatening to spill out thus I understood that he got to know I am avni..

He immediately left the place knowing that his anger and his tears can spoil the party. I also went behind him as I felt that he would be needing a person to console him..

Neil walked towards the back garden of the house cursing himself why did he agree for the act and also chiding him how was he not able to recognize that the girl was avni..!!

Sitting on one of the benches, the tears which were stopped by him came out and he broke down..!! He was not knowing why was he crying.. It was a completely different feeling where his brain wanted to be angry but his heart was only thinking about avni as what will her reaction be after hearing his heart?

Avni spotted Neil sitting by the bench and was totally shocked seeing his state. His brown eyes which always gave her peace were now in the state of distress with continuous tears flowing from them..!!

Avni held herself responsible for his condition and again she went into her thoughts but soon came out from them composed herself and went towards Neil. Avni kept her hand on his shoulder. He turns back and the moment he sees its her he wipes his tears and yanks back going away from her.. Avni felt sad but did not express as she understood he is to be taken care of now...

Neil: Kyu aayi ho yaha? (Why did you come here?)

Avni Mei tumhe dekhne aayi thi Neil.. Woh tum achanak chale aaye party se.. Mai samajh sakti hu neil tumhari liye bahot difficult tha woh karna aur.. (I was worried about you.. Actually you just came out from the party.. So, I can understand neil it must've been very hard for you to do the task and..) (gets cut off)

Neil: Really avni.. Tum kyu fikar kar rahi ho? Bolo.. Tum tho mujhe chod ke chali gayi thi na.. Phir.. Aur tum samajh nahi sakti ki mai kaise jiya hu ye 10 saal.. Tumhari bina, mere pyarr ke bina aur mere parivaar ke bina.. Tumne tho nayi zindagi shuru Karli lekin kabhi socha hai ki hum kaise jee rahe honge tumhari bina.. Tum kuch nahi samajh sakti.. (Really avni.. Why are you worried? You left me and went away know.. Then.. You just cannot understand how I lived these 10 years without you, without my love, without my family.. You started a new life but ever have you thought how are we living without you.. You just cannot understand anything..)

Avni: (In polite tone) Mei bhi rahi hu neil tumhare bina, mere parivaar ke bina.. (I've also spent my life neil without you and without my family..)

Neil: Lekin tumhe itna toh pata tha ki main zinda hoon aur agar tum chahoo tho kabhi bhi mil sakti ho mujhe.. Lekin mujhe toh ye bhi nahi pata tha.. Tum nahi samajh sakti uss bhoj ke sath jeena kya hota hai ki aapki ki derri ki wajah se aapka pyarr aapse durr chala gaya.. Tum kabhi nahi samajh paaogi.. Isi liye aage kabhi mat kehna ki tum samajh sakti ho.. (You at least knew that I am alive and if you wish you can meet me anytime.. But I did not knew know that you're alive.. You can never understand what it's to live with the guilt of being a reason for your love's death.. You will never understand and don't ever say that you can understand it..)

The whole convo was witnessed by ali who came searching for neil after he left the party. Ali was shocked to see avni and was confused why did not neil tell him about this.. Then it stroke for Ali that from morning the thing which neil was trying to tell was this that avni is alive..

Ali: AVNI..!!

Both neil and avni turned at the mention of avni's name and avni was shocked to see ali there. ali came near to both of them and raised his hand till his eyes closed them and again opened them.. He was surprised to see that avni did not disappear..

Neil: Ali I was trying to tell this to you for the whole day.. No one from the family knows about avni being alive because she is here for only one more day and after that she'll return to her life which she newly started.. I leave it to you.. Talk with her.. Then she might tell you the reason for her stunt which destroyed our lives..

Neil gave one last glare to avni who was totally depressed by neil's words and his decision to not tell family about her. After neil went avni and ali were the ones left out.. Avni was looking to the ground while ali was just staring at her thinking she is a figment of his imagination. It was finding difficult for ali to believe that avni is present in front of him in flesh..

Ali: Why did you do this avni? (politely)

Avni:....

Ali: Avni, kyu kiya tune aisa? (Why did you do like this avni?)

Avni was not answering his question which led to a slow but steady build up of anger inside him. While avni took time to answer him his mind flashed all the things which happened in the past 10 years which were like a nightmare to him, to neil and to his family. Ali was starting to drown in his thoughts when avni spoke..

Avni: Kaisa hai tu ali? (How are you ali?)

Ali: Tunne mere sawaal ka jawab nahi diya.. (You did not answer my question..)

Avni: I did it only for yours, neil's and family's safety..

Ali: For the safety of us? From whom were you safeguarding us?

Avni: From vidyut..

Ali: Agar hame bachanne ke liye kia tune toh vidyut ke arrest hone ke baad toh tu wapas aa sakti thi na.. Toh kyu nahi aayi..? (If you did to safeguard us then why didn't you come back after vidyut got arrested?)

Avni: Mei bahot darr gayi thi.. Vidyut ne mujhe bahot darra diya tha.. (I was very much scarred.. Vidyut scarred me to hell..)

Ali: (raising his tone) Itna darra diya tha kya ki tu neil se bhi nahi keh payi.. neil ko chod tere dost mujhse nahi keh payi.. Tujhe toh pata haina ki mera tera alava koy nahi hai.. Phir aisa bhi kya baat tha..!? (You were so frightened that you could not tell it to neil.. Leave about him but you could not even tell to your friend.. You know avni that you are my only family.. Then what was the reason you could not say to me..!?)

Avni: (was in tears) Mujhe pata hai ali.. Aisa nahi hai ki maine socha nahi iss bare mei.. Lekin hamesha jab bhi socha mere ateet ne mujhe ye karne se rok diya.. (I know ali that you have only me as your family.. It's not that I never thought about telling this but whenever I thought of doing it my past used to stop me..)

Ali: Toh ab mujhe bata de.. Bata na kyu cheen liye tune mere, tere, neil aur sab ke zindagi ke 10 saal? (So, you can tell it now.. Tell me why did you snatch away 10 years of mine, neil's and others lives?)

Avni: Mei tujhe nahi bata sakti ali.. Woh raaz mere saath hi dafann hojaye toh accha hai sab ke liye.. (I cannot tell you ali.. If that secret will get mixed up with me in my ashes it will be good for all..)

Ali: Accha.. Tu nahi batana chahthi.. Lekin mei batana chaahunga ke ye 10 saal maine, Neil ne, aur pure parivaar ne kaise bitayii.. Sunn payegi tu.. Himmat hai tujhmei.. (Okay.. You don't want to say but I would like to tell you how me, neil and the family spent these 10 years.. Can you hear it.. You have that courage to listen it..)

Avni:....

Ali: Mujhe pata tha ke tu ha nahi keh payegi.. Aur mei janata hu ki chahe tune nayi zindagi shuru kardi ho par tere liye bhi mushkil rahe honge ye 10 saal.. Lekin tere ek faisle ne bahot kuch badal diya avni.. Khass kar ke hamari dosti.. Hamari woh dosti jo tab nahi tuti jab tu mujhse 15saal ke liye durr hogayi thi.. Lekin shayad ab wohi dosti tutne ki kagar pe hai.. Agar tu iss dosti ko bachana chahthi hai toh please mujhe bata de ki kyu tunne apni sari khushiyan kurbaan kardi.. Please batade.. (I knew you will not be able to say an yes for my question.. And I know that you've started a new life but it was difficult for you too.. These 10 years.. But one decision of yours changed everything.. Mainly our friendship.. The friendship which was not be broken when you were away from me for 15 years.. Now I think it's on the verge of breaking.. And if you want to save it please tell me the reason avni.. Please say it..)

Avni: Hamari dosti kabhi nahi tutegi ali aur nahi hi mei use totne dongi.. Tu jo kahye woh karungi lekin tujhe mei mere faisle ka wajah nahi bata sakti.. Mujhe maaf kar de..!! (Our friendship will never break ali and I will not allow it to break.. I will do what you want but I cannot tell you the reason behind my decision which I took 10 years back..

Ali: Teek hai.. Tu mujhe mat bata lekin mei pata karlunga aur jo tune mujhse pucha.. Us ke liye ek kaam hai.. Tujhe hum sab ke saath khanna mansion mei rehna hoga..!! (Okay then if you don't want to say.. And as for your question them I want you to come and stay with us in Khanna mansion..)
