They were in an empty classroom, Yeonjun still holding her wrist. He was furious about the way Ha Ri was talking about the girl he has grew to trust, so he brought Min Si here to not let her hear anymore shit talk about her.

"I'm sorry, she said such things."

"Me and Bitna had another friend in middle school, who was my cousin. They had an argument, and when I should have supported my cousin, I left her alone." She paused for a brief second and took her hand out if his,  before saying, "So, Ha Ri wasn't wrong."

Tears were forming in her eyes, but she held them back.

Stop crying infront of him, for f*ck's sake.

He held her arms very delicately but she was looking down not able to meet his eyes thinking she's losing him as a friend too.

"You realise your mistake and I believe you won't repeat it. Everyone make mistakes, but realising it and never repeating it again is what matters."

His words did make an effect on her. It may sound childish but an assurance from someone was what she needed. She finally looked up at him to receive the most comforting smile she had ever seen.

"Should we go-" His words were cut in between when she hugged him.

It was surprising for him but he hugged her back. That's when they realised that they had a little height difference. She reached his nose, he could literally smell her hair directly.

"You're so warm." Min Si didn't intend to say it out but it came out mumble loud enough for him to hear. He chuckled lightly in response.

He is healing in every way possible.

It had almost been a week since Min Si shifted to the new house with Chae Rin. Their house was quite most of the time because they didn't communicate, they only talked when it was necessary.

Min Si came out of her room to eat something when she saw Chae Rin sitting on a chair in the balcony and reading a book. Min Si wanted to start a conversation really bad but she didn't to not make her feel awkward.

She silently walked to the kitchen and her gaze went to a bottle of orange juice kept on the kitchen counter. It had a sticky notes on it which said, "For Min Si..."

Chae Rin?

She side of her lips rose at the sweet gesture and decided of making sandwiches for both of them.

She prepared sandwiches for her and Chae Rin and decorated them prettily with mayonez and mustard sauce. She placed them on the dining table before walking towards the balcony.

She slowly slid the glass door catching Chae Rin's attention.

"I made sandwiches. Let's eat!"

"I don't have an appetite right now. Please, keep them aside for me. I'll eat them afterwards."

Min Si was disappointed, but was also trying to tell herself that Chae Rin didn't completely reject her food.

It was late night when Min Si was randomly thinking about things that may change in her life, now that living away from her parents. Originally, she was studying but the focus on the book was long gone.

Living away from parents meant that she won't have to listen to her mother's lecture every night. There was a feeling of relief inside her but she felt like it was illegal to think like that about her mother, who only wanted the best for her.

A con for living here would be that there won't be any cook to make delicious food for her, she has to do it all herself.

But now she can leave her house to get fresh air without thinking of excuses to make infront of her mom.

I should go out for fresh air and check out the neighborhood.

She stood up from her and closed her books before walking up to her closet and grabbing a jacket as it was cold outside.

Leaving her room was easy but passing the main door was a tough task as Chae Rin may wake up from the sound. She decided to take the risk swiftly left the house, thankfully Chae Rin was too much in sleep to hear anything.

Min Si checked the time while leaving the building. It was 11:05 pm.

I'll be back before 11:30.

She walked around the neighborhood, looking at the book stores, convenience stores, cafes and many other stores. Even her school was at walking distance from her apartment.

She was passing by a icecream parlour, when she spotted a familiar figure sitting there, alone. He was dressed in a tan coloured suit and his forehead exposed as his hair were styled back. She entered the place and approached him.

She tapped his shoulder and called, "Yeonjun!"

He turned around and looked at her with surprise and delight, "What are you doing here?"

"I live nearby."

He gestured her to sit and she sat on the seat infront of him at the table.

"Do you live in this area too?" She asked hoping they may be neighbours.

"No no. I was going home from a event, I stopped by here for icecream."

She signalled him to wait a minute and bought an icecream for herself too. She came back and sat on the same spot. Her eyes went to his cup of icecream which wasn't even touched by him, but she didn't think much about it.

"You're looking so different with this hairstyle and formal outfit." She commented on his look. She had only seen him in school uniform and casuals in real life, so this was new.

"I'm looking stunning, right?" He asked with a smug grin to which she rolled her eyes, teasing him.

"Don't get too ahead of yourself." It was his turn to roll eyes.

She giggled and took a spoonful of icecream in her mouth. She immediately got a brain freeze making her hit her temple lightly.

A smile crept on his face, looking at her face. He teased, "Only evil people get brain freezes."

She stuck her tongue out to him and continued eating.

After some moments of silence, she asked him, "Don't you have to go home?"

"I don't want to." He said with a tired smile.

She found his answer a little weird but shrugged it off thinking it was another joke.

Taking the last bite of icecream in her mouth, she stood up from her seat. "But I have to go now. It's getting late."

He stood up too and asked, "Should I walk you home?"

She could feel heat rise to her cheeks as she said, "okay!"

They left the place and started their walk towards her house. It was cold night but instead she could only feel warmth in her face. She placed her cold hands on her cheeks to maybe stabilize the temperature.

They finally stopped infront of the apartment building she lived in.

"We're here." She spoke, disappointed that the walk was short.

She didn't want to go inside so early. She kept thinking about something nice to say, before saying goodbye. But he beat her in it and called her name, "Min Si!"

She looked towards him and he got his face closer to her. Tucking a few strands of her hair behind her ear as he placed his lips on hers.

She was surprised at first, but at the same time kissing him was the best feeling in the world for her. She placed her hands on his cheeks pulling him closer, when she felt her back hit the wall.

"Oh my god!" They heard a voice from the side and immediately pulled away.

It was Chae Rin who was going out of the apartment complex and got startled by seeing them there.

Min Si looked at her awkwardly and said, "Yeonjun, she's my cousin and flatmate, Chae Rin."

"And Chae Rin, he's my friend, Yeonjun." She added.

Chae Rin let out a hesitant "Hello!"

A call on Yeonjun's phone saved them from an uncomfortable greeting. It was his driver, he immediately picked it up and answered, "I'm coming."

He waved at them before leaving the place right away.
