Mumbai is said to be a city of dreams. It's home to every dreamer, they say. But, it is not true for everyone residing in this metro city. For some, it is their fate which leads them here where they have to struggle to lead a happy life. Such is the life of Ruhana Sharma.

Ruhana hails from Jodhpur city of Rajasthan. Her life brought her to Mumbai after a life-shaking incident. She didn't like life here at first, but slowly, she started to mingle in the fast paced environment of Mumbai city. It's been three years since she landed in this city. She's twenty years old right now, and she came here when she was just seventeen years old. She was in her senior secondary school when an incident broke her family.

She's living in the city with her younger sister, Ishika Sharma. Yeah, she's not alone in this beautiful city, and this gives her confidence to fight over her fears. No! Don't think she's fearful, but she feels alone at times. She comes out of her reverie with a soft touch. She looks up only to be greeted by her sister.

"Di, where are you lost?" she asks, sitting by her side.

"When did you come, Ishu?" Ruhana asks.

"When you were lost in your thoughts. Forget the past, Di. We're happy together, aren't we?" Ishika asks.

Ruhana smiles. She agrees. She has a hope to live through her life. She has Ishika by her side and they are happy together. Ruhana kisses Ishika's head softly.

"Yeah, when you're there, what else do I need? "

"You don't need anything. I'm enough for you, Di."

Ruhana smiles and pulls her in a hug. Ishika keeps her head in Ruhana's lap and wraps her hands around her waist. Ruhana kisses her head softly.

" I don't know, what I'd have done without you Ishu? I'd have died if I didn't have you by my side."

"No Di. It's you who has supported me. You worked hard and so I am studying in such a good school. If I can help you at home and make you feel better, I'll be obliged. We are together, Di, forever together."

The two sisters glance at each other. Ruhana is gazing at Ishika, who's all grownup and understands her sister's plight really well. They are together and take care of each other, and Ruhana hopes that their life ahead will get better soon. She smiles to herself and both the sisters get engaged in preparing their dinner, planning the events of the next day.

Soon, after dinner, and winding up her chores, Ruhana moves into the bedroom. She finds Ishika working on the laptop. They own a two-bedroom flat, each of them have their own personal spaces but these two sleep together in Ruhana's room, after all, Ishika loves to sleep in her sister's embrace. They don't indulge in each others' matters but they are also aware of the happenings in their lives. They give space to each other and that's the best part of their relationship. They share their problems, happiness and everything.

Ruhana came to Mumbai along with Ishika at the age of seventeen. She had some cash in hand, with the help of which she got Ishika admitted into a good yet reputed school and took a flat on rent. Since she had already given her exams of twelfth class and cleared the exams with good grades. As a result of the same, she had earned a scholarship which let her join a reputed college in Mumbai. Her teachers in her school helped her a lot. So, they were leading a good life, if not better.

While attending the college in the morning, Ruhana joined a designing firm, which specialized in all sorts of designing. Since she needed more money to pay her sister's fees, Ruhana had to take up a job. Moreover, she knew she had Ishika by her side,and so forth, they will tackle everything together. Ruhana would work from 12 to 6PM. Coming home to Ishika relaxed her. Ishika was 12 years old then. They'd talk about their day and Ishika's happiness made Ruhana happy. The days passed, it has been more than three years, Ruhana is now graduate and works full time as a designer. She's not trained, yet her knowledge in interior and fashion designing is seamless. Due to her knowledge, her company is financing her one year diploma studies in fashion designing. Now, Ruhana and Ishika own a flat. They can live the way they want.

Ruhana smiles as she thinks about how harsh the life has been on them. She has Ishika to take care of, but now things have changed. It's Ishika who takes care of Ruhana. She tries to take some of her responsibilities, and so forth, they try to help each other and are leading a better life then before.

Ruhana comes out of her reverie on Ishika's voice.

"Di, please help me." Ishika calls out while looking into the laptop.

"What happened?" Ruhana asks as she settles beside her little sister.

"Di, help me solve this question. I have to finish it. We'll need to report to Sir tomorrow." Ishika explains.

Ruhana looks at the screen. There's a question flashing on screen. She's confused when Ishika tells her that it's an application which their teachers have asked them to download and do one exercise daily. It would help them prepare for board exams. Ruhana nods, grasping her words and help Ishika in finishing her task. After that they laid on the bed and chatted for a while until sleep embraced them in its arms.

Next Morning rises early. Ruhana is preparing breakfast for both of them. Ishika is getting ready. It's a daily schedule that Ruhana drops Ishika at the bus stop and then leaves for her office. She is revising the day's work when Ishika hugs her and kisses her cheek.

"cheese sandwich for breakfast?" she asks, smelling the delicious aroma.

"yes. Sit and start eating. I have packed your lunch too. Have it on time. And call me once you come back home, okay Isha?" Ruhana says.

"Yes Di! No...I think I should call you Mumma. Because you're already my mom." Ishika says.

That's true, since their parents' demise, they have been family to each other. Ruhana has been the woman who not only managed their life, home but Ishika too. While Ishika, being the bolder one, gave her sister the strength to bear all of it. Ruhana smiles at her.

"Who else would I care for? I can't afford to loose you, Isha." she says, her eyes watery.

Ishika smiles and wipes the water from her sister's cheek.

"I'll take care, Di. Don't worry. Now have your breakfast. Eat now, otherwise, I know you'll drop." Ishika says and makes Ruhana eat some food.

Ruhana smiles and then the two sisters set off for their big day at school and office. Ruhana drops Ishika to the bus stop and then leaves for her office. As she reaches sher office, she was called by her boss who tells her that she needs to handle a meeting which she readily agrees. The boss gets happy and Ruhana gets busy in preparing for the meeting.

Later, in the afternoon, as the meeting finished, Ruhana is elated that they have bagged the deal. She's that they got the deal. She relaxing a little bit in her cabin when a phone call leaves her shocked.
