Chapter 13- Sanjana?

Ragini flapped her eyelashes adjusting in the bright light as she sits holding her head which felt heavy at the moment, she stared at an empty space and remembers last night. She turned her head to side table to grab her phone, she switched on her phone while, her heart sank. She sighs in releif seeing no notifications. She turned her head at the voice of door opening, and found sanskar entering inside the room with null expressions. She looks on while, he just ignored her presence walking inside washroom. She shook her head as she gets down of the bed and walks towards the cupboard when sanskar phone on table starts ringing. Ragini, looks at the washroom door and then, at his mobile. She shook her head as she walks towards table and bent her hand to grab the phone when, her hand froze at it place and her eyes widen seeing the 'private number', her heart sank in her chest as she instantly grabbed the phone with shaky hands while, her forehead creased with sweats as she hurriedly cuts the call and opened his phone to clear the call log when, her eyes stopped at his home screen wallpaper. She flappers her lashes seeing the childhood pic of four of them. She caressed the wallpaper with a small smile when, she heard sounds from washroom. She hurriedly clears the call log and keep it back on table walking towards bed. Sanskar walks out of washroom rubbing his hairs with towel, he stopped eyeing his phone and looked at ragini's back who was standing nervously facing the bed. He walks towards table and pick up his phone checking it while she looks at him through corner of her eyes.

"Did you touched my phone?", He asked in a cold tone. Ragini immediately turned acting as unknown, "Hun?", She asked, when he took a step forward swinging his phone in his hand, "This is mine. Did you touched it?", He asked angrily glaring at her. Ragini, shook her head blinking her eyes nervously, "No! Why would I?", She utters in a soft tone. He looks at her with piercing gaze, "I heard my phone ringing but, my phone log is clear", He utters sternly. Ragini, plays with her fingers and flapped her eyes here and there. "I am asking you something?", Sanskar asked taking a step forward when, ragini looks up and looks at him, "Look, Mr.Maheshwari. I didn't touched your phone. Why would I do that? And, for your kind information it was my phone which was ringing. I have changed my ringtone". She utters in a stiff tone.

"Really? Who was on phone?", He asked mockingly when, she turned her face. "It was from company number", she utters. "Good! I don't have to burn down my phone now because of you touching it", he utters as he turned keeping his phone back inside his jeans pocket. Ragini sighs and turned walking towards cupboard and taking out her clothes entering inside the washroom. Sanskar brushed his hairs when, his gaze fell on her phone at the side table from mirror. He looks on.

Scene shift

Swara tossed around as the lights disturbed her, keeping her head on something hard, she holds the thing close to her when, she felt heartbeat sound on her ears. She twitched her eyes when she felt a hot breath touching her face. She felt her heartbeat rise as she slowly opened her eyes finding him so close to her. Her heart skips a beat as she drawn herself in his face. Her hand unknowingly touched his face when, laksh eyes twitched in sleep making her take her hand back immediately. She shuts her eyes acting as sleeps when, laksh opens his eyes. He was about to take his hand when, he found it beneath her head. He opened his eyes completely and stared at her. His heart starts beating loudly seeing her this close. His hands instantly reached her cheeks while, swara who was awake felt her heart jumping out of her chest.

He leans and kissed her cheek making her heart flutters and she felt goosebumps all over her body. "I love you", he whispers making her weak at heart. Swara opened her eyes making his eyes wide and he immediately take his hand back. Swara stared at him with painful gaze and he immediately took his other hand sitting, "S...Sorry", he utters looking at other side. Swara, also sits and stared at his face with misty eyes. Laksh, felt her gaze on him and he instantly stands walking towards washroom. He shuts the door behind sighing while a tear dropped her eye, "Who should I trust, Laksh? This Laksh who loves me or that laksh who broke my trust", she mumbles to herself with moisty eyes as she stared at the closed door. "5 days. In five days, I'll prove everything", he muttered to himself as he walks towards sink and washed his face and looks at himself in the mirror with determined eyes.

SwaRagini sets the dining table for breakfast when, everyone comes one by one. Sanskar comes and sits on his place and Laksh who come saw Ragini who also looks at him and smiled weakly. Laksh nodded smiling and Ragini smiled blinking. Laksh also took his seat opposite sanskar when, his phone beeps. Who looks at his phone and reads the message. His face expression changes as he glanced at Sanskar. Sanskar who found his gaze looks up and looks at him shrinking his eyebrows, "What?", Sanskar mouths as ragini serves him. Laksh shook his head as he looks at swara who was serving him. SwaraRagini glanced at their respective husbands and sits back on their seats after serving everyone and eats.

"Sshhh.....sshhhhh", Ragini who was working in kitchen looks on hearing the shushing sound. She looks at other side and found swara waving at her, ragini raised her one eyebrow looking at her and then turned to look at sujata who was turning her back on her working. Swara signs her to come towards her, Ragini glared her showing spoon while, swara shook her head, "Swara chori, you can come inside", sujata says making swara closed her eyes while, ragini bites her cheeks smiling.

Sujata turned and looks at swara, "Is this new way to get save from work?", Sujata asked while, ragini giggles. "No! Chachi ji. You only told me to make pari di eat everything. I was doing that only", Swara utters smiling nervously. "Then, what are you doing standing there?", Sujata asked. "Wo... I wanted to talk to laado", Swara utters while, sujata looks on. "Let me do this first, Shona", Ragini utters glaring her while, swara nodded. "Okay!", Swara says and, was about to turn when sujata and ragini stopped her, "Stop! Where are you going?", They asked. "Out!", Swara answers when, sujata and ragini shared a glance.

"Come here and work, Devrani ji", Ragini utters smirking teasingly while, swara looks on. Sujata walks towards her and handed her the vegetables, "Here cut these", Sujata utters, "I'll go and rest", She says walking away while, swara looks on. Ragini giggles seeing her expressions, "Awww, so sweet Shona. You were escaping work and here maa gives you your favourite one", Ragini utters giggling when, swara faked smile, "very funny laado. I wasn't escaping instead, I was calling you too see what's Adarsh Bhaiyaa is doing", Swara utters shaking her head as she kept the cutting board on slab with vegetables and starts cutting it.

"What is he doing?", Ragini asked curiously, "I think he read the book he brought na so, he is behaving as a perfectionist infront of Dost and Kaka sa. Even, when I was making di eat bhaiya was eating himself first and then letting di eat", Swara utters while, ragini looks on surprised ,"Really?", She asked smiling. "Yes! It was a treat to watch him and Dost and kaka sa taunt's were cherry on the top. You missed it being on kitchen", Swara says and both the sister's chuckled.

"I wish they stayed like that only and everything goes well", Ragini utters as she remembers the phone call and swara nodded. "Bhabhi, you come here to escape from teasing", Uttara utters barging inside the kitchen. "What? Teasing?", Ragini asked looking at swara whose face turned red. "Bhabhi, you know these three brother's are behaving like as if they are pregnant", Uttara utters making their eyes wide. "I mean, it's okay if Adarsh Bhai is behaving weird but, sanskar and Laksh Bhai", Uttara shook her head, "They are pre-practicing for their time", Uttara utters making both of the sister's face flushed. "By any chance, you both", Uttara raised her eyebrow when SwaRagini utters, "Shut up", and uttara laughs, "Okay! Okay! I am going", Uttara says chuckling when, swarag shakes their head. Uttara leaves after taking an apple while, ragini turned to swara.

"You were here to take me with you so,that I can get the equal teasing as you, haan", ragini asked raising her eyebrows while, swara giggles. "Shona", ragini glared at her. "Knock! Knock!", Adarsh comes inside and SwaRagini looks on. "Did you need anything for Di?", Ragini asked teasingly while, Adarsh nodded his head, "But, from you both", Adarsh utters making them share a glance and then looks at him. "What?", They asked.

"Actually, I want to gift something to pari", Adarsh utters rubbing his neck with a smile, "But, your Useless husbands are not ready to help me. So, I thought why not my two pretty sister's help me instead", Adarsh utters. SwaRag shared a glance folding their arms, "Ahaan!", They utters. "And, what will we get in return?", They asked. "A date with your husband?", Adarsh utters raising his eyebrows when, both shook their head. "Gift?", He utters and they shook their head. "Then, what?", Adarsh asked as SwaRag shared a glance and smiled, "Picnic!", Both utters in a same time and looks at each other. "Picnic?", Adarsh utters as they looks at him.

"Yes! A family picnic with both the families", Ragini utters. "Yes! Like childhood days", Swara utters and Adarsh smiled. "Done!", Adarsh says making them smile brightly, "Thank you, bhaiyaa", SwaRagini hugged him. "I'll plan everything but, now you both have to go and buy something special for pari. Okay?", Adarsh utters and SwaRag nodded, "Done but, after lunch", They says and he nodded. "Okay!", He said patting their heads, "Thank you!", He says and goes. "Let's work fast and go", Swara says and Ragini nodded. Both, makes lunch and leaves after lunch. SanLak went to office with Dp and Rp while, Adarsh and Uttara stayed back with parineeta.

Ragini stopped the car as they gets down, "What should we buy for Di, laado?", Swara asked as they walks inside the mall after parking their car. "I am thinking that too", Ragini utters making a thinking face. "Saree?", Swara utters as they took the escalator. "As if she don't have one", Ragini rolls her eyes hearing her while, swara twisted her lips.

"Jewellery?", Ragini utters clicking her fingers when, swara smiled stretching her lips, "As, if she don't have one", Swara mimicked ragini who frowns in return. "Very funny!", Ragini utters as they walks forward and looks through the shops. "Teady bear?", Swara utters making Ragini shook her head in disappointed. Swara pouts while, ragini stopped, "Food?", Ragini utters in excited tone, "Pregnant woman loves food", Ragini utters smiling while, swara stopped and slow claps, "As if, she don't get food at home and she can't eat what she wants", Swara utters while, ragini glared at her cutely, "Stuff toy was better one", Swara utters as they walks inside a shop and looks around. "We are so bad at this. Why did we even agree?", Ragini utters sighing. "You are bad not me", Swara utters as her eyes caught something. "Good joke", Ragini utters as her purse dropped down while, swara walks forward. Ragini who bends and pick up her purse stands and was about to walk forward when, she felt someone gaze on her. She immediately turned and found none.

She sighs, "Don't think about anything, ragini", she utters to herself as she looks around for swara and walks towards her. "This is so cute na, Laado", Swara shows her the snowball with a couple inside it. Ragini smiled taking it on her hands, "It's beautiful!", Ragini utters as both smiled when, both sister's fell on particular trophy. Both, glanced at each other and their hands instantly grabbed the trophy at same time, "Best Wife!", Both utters at the same time and laughs. "It will be perfect!", Swara utters and Ragini nodded. "From Adarsh Bhaiyaa to Di", Ragini says and both smiled. "Finally! Let's buy this", Swara says as she took it and walks towards bill counter. Ragini smiled sighing as she kept the snowballs back at it's place, when her gaze fell on a soft toy at box.

She bends and looks at the box loaded with stuff toys and starts seeing it when, she felt someone eyeing her behind the rack. Her eyes instantly looks up and she saw someone hiding. Her heart skips a beat as she stands immediately with tensed expression, "Laado!", She jerked hearing swara voice and turned walking towards her. "I gift wrapped it. Come, let's buy something for us too", Swara utters holding her hand. Ragini plastered fake smile on her face, "Let's go Shona", Ragini utters holding her hand. "Why? What happened?", Swara asked looking at her face cloesly. Ragini shook her head smiling, "Nothing! Wo, Bhai will be waiting for gift na", Ragini says.

"Ohooo! Laado. We have time. He will give it on night only. Come na it's been long since we roam around. Come, let's go", Says swara taking the bag and holding her hand and walking with her. Ragini looks on as she looks around her. A pair of eyes is shown looking at her from behind the rack and taking out his phone.

"Let's see clothes from there", Swara utters dragging her along with her. Ragini nodded weakly smiling while her eyes scanned around. They entered inside the shop and starts seeing clothes. "How about this, laado?", Swara asked keeping a blue anarkali on her. Ragini who was looking at other side turned and looks at her nodding, "It's good", ragini utters while, swara looks on. "Everything is fine? Laado", Swara asked and Ragini looks at her and nodded. "Yes! Shona, Go and try it", Ragini utters as swara keeps the anarkali down eyeing her. Ragini, who understands her gaze starts looking for other clothes, "Shona, try these too", She handed her three sets. "These?", Swara asked and Ragini nodded. "These color will look great on you", Ragini utters. Swara sighs looking at her, "Okay, I'll try these till then you also look something for you" Swara says getting up and Ragini nodded, "Okay".

Swara leaves towards trial room while, ragini stands taking her stuff, "Tell her I am on nearby shop", Ragini asked looking at the volunteer, who nodded. Ragini, looks around and walks out of the shop. She starts walking towards the other side while, looking from the corner of her eyes. "Today, I am going to find whoever is following me", Ragini thinks in her head as she stopped feeling presence but, didn't turned. She walks fastly and felt, the steps fast too. She stops and looks around nervously, "If, I turn then the person will hide. I need to do something smartly", Ragini muttered to herself as she looks around playing with her fingers when, her eyes land on the jewellery shop. "Mirror?", She utters as she looks on and entered inside the shop. 

"What would you like to have mam?", The salesman asked and Ragini looks on, "Necklaces, please!", Ragini utters as he showed her some neck piece. Ragini, keep her stuff on counter and took the necklace walking towards mirror side. She stands infront of the mirror bringing the necklace towards her neck while, her eyes move around the mirror. Her eyes stopped as she saw someone outside the shop clad in black eyeing her from hoodie. Her heart dropped as her eyes widen and she walks towards the counter keeping the necklace back, "It doesn't suit me, sorry", she utters as she took her stuff and walks out of the shop. She looks around coming out and starts walking towards other side. The person, who was behind her looks at her standing inside a shop from glass door, "Excuse me?", The person walks out hearing the voice and starts following her from distance. Ragini, comes to the opposite side and the person stood opposite side. Ragini, who looks at him from corner of her eyes turned completely towards him. The person immediately lowered his head seeing him while, ragini looks on.

Even, if she runs from here the person will be vanished from her sigh because of the distance. Ragini walks forward holding the glass railings eyeing the person who, didn't keep his head up. She eyes the person who took out his phone. The person holds his hoodie down and looks a little up and found ragini gone from there. He immediately runs towards the other side and stands where ragini was standing a while back. "Damn", the person muttered and took out phone and starts dialing a number when , he felt the hoodie being pulled down from his head making the ponytail dangles around her back. Ragini, blinks her eyes Continuously in shock seeing the ponytail, "Who are you?", She utters  and was about to keep her hand behind her back when, she pushed her hand and starts running towards other side. Ragini, eyes widen as she runs after her.

"Stop! Stop!", Ragini shouts running after her while, everyone looks on seeing them giving weird looks. She covered herself again with hoodie running, "I said stop", Ragini shouts as she pants from breath and took another direction to catch her. The hooded person who was running without looking back stopped abruptly seeing Ragini standing infront of her. Ragini, eyes widen in shock and her legs freezed seeing the familiar face, "Sanjana?", She mumbled in shock and in next second she was on ground by the sudden push with freezed mind. "Sanjana?", She again mumbles when, everyone comes around her for help. "Laado", she jerked hearing Swara voice.

"Laado? Laado? Are you okay?", Swara asked tensed making ragini stand who was still in a state of shock. "S...Shona...she....she", Ragini felt her tongue locked as her eyes turned misty, "Laado? Are you okay? Who she?", Swara asked shaking her making her come out from her state of shock. Ragini, looks at her with bewildered expression and reality hits her. "Who she? And, how did you fell? I was calling you and you were running", Swara utters and Ragini looks at her taking a deep breath. "Wo... That girl pushed me, Shona", Ragini utters keeping her hand on her shoulder. "Who girl?", Swara asked while, ragini looks on. "I don't know her", Ragini says as she felt her heartbeat bursting on her chest.

"Lets go, Shona", Ragini holds her hand tightly. "Are you okay, Laado?", Swara asked worriedly looking at her pale face cupping her cheek. Ragini nodded, "Wo....I got startled by the sudden push", Ragini utters. Swara looks at her still not convinced, "Why were you running, laado?", Swara asked. Ragini looks at her and licks her lips, "Wo.... I thought it was you. That's why", Ragini utters lowering her gaze while, swara looks on. "But, I was calling you only", Swara says and Ragini looks at her and then at other side, "I didn't heard. Let's go now", Ragini utters as she starts walking. Swara looks on unsure and followed her. They both walks out of the mall while, ragini eyes unknowingly moved around and she felt weak.

She clenched her fist tightly digging her nails inside her palm, "Can you drive, Shona?", Ragini asked as they stopped by their car. Swara, looks at her for a moment and nodded keeping the bags backside and goes sitting on driving seat. Ragini, holds the door knob and looks around, "How can she be alive?", Ragini thinks in her head as she sits inside her car putting the seat belt. Swara, starts driving while, ragini turned her head towards window looking out while, her heart was still thumping loudly on her chest and her mind was freezing.  She closed her eyes as the breeze touched her face, a flash of troller hitting sanjana flashed infront of her eyes and she abruptly opened her eyes. Her forhead starts sweating as she kept her hand on her forehead. Swara, who was glancing at her while driving looks on. "What are you thinking, laado?", Swara asked and Ragini shook her head, "Will bhaiya like the gift?", Ragini mumbled and Swara nodded, "OfCourse, he will", Swara replied. Ragini nodded as bites her lips taking a deep breath.

Swara stopped the car infront of Maheshwari Mansion. Ragini immediately gets down, "I need to use washroom", Ragini utters without turning and runs inside the Mansion while, swara looks on. "What happened to her?", She mumbles as she parked the car and took out the bags entering inside Mansion. She found Adarsh on the stairs and gives him the gift, "Here it is , bhaiyaa", Swara utters. Adarsh smiled widely, "Thank you...thank you Soo much you both", Adarsh utters and swara tells him about the gift making him more happy. "See, I trusted the right person", he utters and swara nodded, "Did you see, Ragini?", Swara asked and he nodded, "She just went to her room", he answered and swara blinks nodding. "I should check on her", swara mutters and was about to go after her when, Annupurna called her out and she goes to her.

Ragini slides down on the bathtub opening the shower while, hot tears slides down her eyes. Everything played infront of her like a movie. She shook her head , "No! This can't happen. She can't come back. How can she come back? She died infront of my eyes. How can she?", Ragini mumbles as the water droplets fall on her face mixing with her tears. She clucthed her head tightly on her head as she felt a pain inside her head. She remembers each and everything happening from that time when, her mind freeze at one stop and her eyes widen at her own conclusions. Her lips trembled as she stands turning off the shower, her lips shivered while, something flashed in her eyes, "W...what....I..if... She was never dead? What if this all is Tarun and her plan to hurt us?", Ragini mumbles as she tried to join everything, "Maybe, they are taking revenge with all this", Ragini muttered as she kept her hand on her forehead, "What if they are here to hurt us? What if they are planning something big?", Her heart sank with fear and she shook her head, "But, she died infront of my eyes" , Ragini mumbled again remembering and shut her eyes tightly, "Sanskar!", She mumbles opening her eyes.

"I didn't saw her final rites but, sanskar.....", She didn't complete and her eyes widen. "I need to tell him", Ragini utters as she walks towards sink and washed her face with cold water. "This time you have to trust me, Sanskar. This time you have to", Ragini mumbles as she looks at her red eyes. She inhaled a sharp breath wiping her face and changed her Clothes and waited for sanskar in her room pacing to and fro. She keeps looking at clock as she tried to join every possible thing, "I need to tell sanskar about the calls too", she mumbles to herself when, sanskar enters inside the room loosening his tie. Ragini turns and looks at him. Her heartbeat paced faster as she took steps towards him.

He throws the briefcase on bed along with his tie. He removed his blazer when, ragini stands infront of him looking into his eyes. He looks at her, "What? Move aside", He utters in a cold tone as he moved to side and she again comes infront of blocking his side. She plays with her nervously while, he keep his hands on his waist, "What it is?", He asked sternly. Ragini gulps as she looks into his eyes biting her lips, Sanskar shook his head glaring her and was about to walk past her when, she holds his hand, "She is alive. Sanjana is alive, Sanskar", Ragini utters making him freeze. His eyes widen and his body becomes stiff. He turns and looks on shocked hearing her. Ragini looks at him and her eyes turned misty, "I saw her. She is alive", She mumbles and his heart sank in his chest.
