Those sparkling eyes and beautiful pale skin were all Taehyung could think of, after what happened, he sat in a corner and poured another drink for himself. Was it the fifth? Eighth? He didn't even count. All he could count was the times he replayed the scene with the notebook girl and the jerk, the way her accent twirled with her English and made it unique, and the fact that he wasn't even courageous enough to ask her about her name.
It was fine, though, the small notebook in his sweater's pocket was enough for him to make him feel close enough.
He was close enough that she was now sure it was him. No doubt. But from all people she could've met. It had to be him.
"Freckles..?"
She turned her face away, looking at anywhere but him. But he slowly approached her.
With all the attempts to avoid him, hoping he would let it go or think it wasn't the Ha-eun he knew, Jungkook still sat beside her at the bar, helping himself for a drink and gulping it in one go. He then looked towards her again as her gaze avoided his still, whispering, "Ha-Eun?"
Ha-Eun hadn't even realized she was shaking until she gasped as a hand grabbed her shaky wrist. She looked down at it and then up at his thoughtful gaze.
With a lopsided smile he uttered, "I know it's you, don't try to deny it. It's already been years but you're still as clumsy as ever, huh?"
The freckled girl took a sharp breath as she steadies herself, replaying Taehyung's words in her head.
You're not that fragile girl anymore. And he's not that ugly ass kid who kept hurting you. You're stronger now. And I'm still with you.
Ha-Eun stood, yanking her hand out of his grasp as she was about to walk away only to be stopped by his hand again. "Ha-Eun, wait! Look I know I've hurt you in the past. And I know you won't believe me now but.. I've changed. People can change you know."
She turned to him, eyes red as the bitter memory of the empty house and the throbbing in her head flashed through her angered mind, the only thing she could think of was how much she hated the man standing before her.
Humans have always been disgusting, lying creatures, haven't they?
"How could a selfish, merciless piece of shit like you become any better??" She spat with all the despise she had locked in for years, throwing her unanswered question at him as she walked away from him, her feet automatically leading her out of the entire house, but not before grabbing the largest bottle of liquor she managed to find and taking it with her.

The long, warm night seemed endlessly calm as Seokjin finished reading the book in his hand and decided to finally go to sleep after he finished the last bit of his wine glass.
He lazily dragged himself towards his bed, eyes fighting to be already shut when a slam on the door made him open his eyes the widest he could. His heart thumped loudly in his chest until he realized it was just someone knocking on the main door. But it was 1 am.
Seokjin sighed in exhaustion as he went to open the door, much to his surprise, finding a wasted girl on his doorstep. She was none other than Ha-Eun.
"Dr.Kim! I thought you'd never open up! Haha!" The girl in the beautiful black dress heck-upped.
She'd obviously drunk too much.
"Ha-Eun? What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
"Oh, I was just drinking and drinking. And I couldn't stop thinking of you. My mind just told me to come here."
Seokjin sighed as he pushed his hair back with a hand, thinking what to do.
"Okay, wait. Let me drive you home. Let me just go get my keys." He went back inside but to his surprise, Ha-Eun clutched to him and walked inside, right on his heels. He turned to her in question.
"Please don't leave me. Don't leave me like all of them do. Please don't lie to me like all of them. You're different, right, doc?" Suddenly she pulled him closer with her both small hands. And even in the poor moonlit night, he could see the reflection of his sleepy self in her dark pupils.
His heart thumped too loud that it was the only thing he could hear and was almost sure the girl who just brought her lips to his could hear his heart pounding too.
Yes, Ha-Eun kissed him.
