His wandering nervous stares at the walls and windows irritated Ha-Eun.
"Stop looking around nervously, it's okay." That made him look back at her as he nodded slowly and apologized faintly.
She sighed as she got up to make some tea for Seokjin, the rattling of the rain outside still ongoing as the guy with the wide shoulders rubbed his hands together, seeking for warmth.
Ha-Eun came back into the living room with two cups of warm tea and he held on to his in joy, sipping it and enjoying its' radiant warmth.
"Oh, this tea is tasty, which reminds me of a joke," he suddenly said, breaking the silence that felt colder than the wind outside. "What do teapots wear to a tea party? A T-shirt!!" He then bursted out, laughing at his own joke.
Ha-Eun only furrowed her eyebrows at him, wondering how his shy mood suddenly shifted. But he was mostly doing that to lighten the air and make it less awkward.
The thunder suddenly rumbled again, and Ha-Eun burst out laughing when Seokjin suddenly gasped and let out a big '오모!!'*
He then looked back at Ha-Eun, completely forgetting about the thunder that scared him to death outside and only focusing on her strangely sweet laugh. It was the first time he heard her laugh like that and saw her bright face. And for some reason, his heart fluttered at that.
Ha-Eun's laugh slowly died down as she noticed him lost in her eyes, a warm small smile on his beautiful lips.
A small blush dusted Ha-Eun's cheeks as she look away at the rain outside, avoiding his eyes. He finally got back to reality and sipped his tea again.
"Can I ask you something, Seokjin?"
"Hm? Sure."
"Why did you become a therapist? Was there any reason, I mean?"
"Well, I've studied it to become a great therapist like my dad was. He's my inspiration."
"Oh, now he isn't?"
"Now.... he's dead."
"Oh.. I—"
"It's okay. It's been three years or so. And I still work to be like him." He warmly smiled.
Ha-Eun sighed, "I understand you. You know that my parents died. And how my mother.."
"Ha-Eun."
The words in her mouth died as tears puddled in her eyes like the rain on her windowsill.
He suddenly lifted her chin that was hanging low, looking deep in her eyes. "I told you you don't need to hide anything from me. You can rant to me all you want. Don't lock up anything in your heart."
The thoughts that haunted her instantly faded away with the echoing of thunder as she lost herself once again in his luminous eyes.
He slowly removed his hand from her cold chin and stood. "You're probably hungry now, huh?"
"How did you know?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
He shrugged. "I know when someone's hungry. And you luckily can depend on me when it comes to food," he said while heading into the kitchen, already taking out ingredients to cook something.
"Y-you can cook?" She asked in amazement, looking at him chopping the vegetables into small pieces professionally.
He nodded. "My mother taught me everything she knew so I could be independent. She's a great cook, too." He started humming softly while seemingly enjoying what he was doing.
Funny how different both of them were, and yet they shared so many other things, such as this rainy yet warm night.

"Yes, stay in university late and help even more than you're supposed to because you looove libraries, don't you, Taehee??"
The girl ran under the heavy rain, desperately looking for any taxi to hop into. But she wasn't lucky, was she?
Her hair already drenched, she swept it back as she ran towards the nearest shelter she could find. She found herself in an alley with a small roof hanging before a probably locked door.
She sighed deeply as she thought of what to do; her house wasn't that near yet.
"You look cold."
She turned, frightened at the sudden sound and shivering even more now. But she was only met with light grey smoke, strangely warming her a little.
She closed her eyes once the puff of smoke reached her face. Then she opened them again to find dark small eyes staring at her.
"Taehee, was it?"
"Smoke Guy, was it??" She answered and he rolled his eyes.
"Just kidding," she laughed. "But what are you doing here? And why are you still smoking??"
"You told me I could have one last cigarette for this day. And this is the one." He held it in front of her before bringing it again to his thin lips and sucking at it. "I needed to warm up a bit."
She shook her head. "Why are you here, though?"
He then looked at her after blowing more smoke, then looked at the end of the alley.
"I was going home. But I love the sound of the rain."
She blinked at him. Weird guy. But she did like the rain, too. Well, maybe when she sat home safely with a nice cup of coffee instead of freezing outside.
"And what are you doing here?"
"I'm.. going home too." She looked around; still no taxi in sight.
"You don't live nearby, do you?"
She sighed then shook her head, shivering a bit more.
"Come on," he said before walking deeper into the alley. But Taehee didn't even know what to do, so she stood there.
He paused then looked back at her. "Will you stay there and get a cold or come with me??"
She hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow him. Although she wouldn't let her guard down. One wrong move from him and he would never hear the sound of the rain again.
He continued walking towards his house while Taehee followed him cautiously. And the rain never stopped even when Yoongi's only cigarette stopped lighting.
