The cold season wind carried away the poorly sunlit dead leaves, whistling lowly, as if consoling the only person sitting on a cold bench in that cold park.

She was confused, not knowing what to do exactly; was she mad at him? Did she hate him? Did she wish Karma would shower him with misfortune?

She wasn't even sure. Ha-Eun was supposed to be in her apartment now. But the suffocating feeling in her throat forced her to go where the wind freely blew, maybe it would carry away a little weight of hatred in her heart that couldn't bear to abominate.

"What has you so concerned and sad, young lady?" A raspy old voice interrupted the caressing of the wind against the trees.

Ha-Eun raised her head to find a familiar woman.

Was this.. the lady from the store?

"It is me, young lady." She smiled warmly, as if reading her mind.

"May I sit? Or am I disturbing you?"

Ha-Eun shook her head as she shifted to leave a space for the woman and indicated that she could sit.

The woman gratefully smiled as she sat beside Ha-Eun with her paper bag. She took out some Azuki Bean Rice Balls; a light crunchy snack.

"Want some?" She offered for Ha-Eun but she shook her head.

"Oh, come on, young lady. What would happen to him when you starve your self like that?"

Ha-Eun's eyes widened. "How di—"

"A woman is a woman. And that look on you is on every woman's face when it's about a man."

"Oh, I.."

"You don't have to tell me. But from the look of it, he didn't treat you well, did he?"

Ha-Eun was still shocked at how readable she was. This woman was strange. (Hint ;)

"Would anything change if you cried alone like that? Would the past be erased if you torture yourself? No. You don't need to forgive him, but you must forgive yourself, my dear."

Ha-Eun locked eyes with her as her eyes already glistened with tears, blurring her vision.

"Nothing is your fault when there is this inevitable destiny. I realized that," the woman said as she looked down at her wrinkled fingers, her swampy eyes playing a fading memory of a lost one.

"Anyways," she looked back at Ha-Eun, the soft smile back again. "Would you like to try these now?" She offered her the snack again. And Ha-Eun accepted, crunching the peanut-tasting rice balls with a small smile that reflected the woman's.

"Why do you keep doing this to me, Ha-Eun?" Taehyung sighed as he looked around for the familiar pale girl everywhere he could in the university. He told her clearly to wait for him so they could go back home together. But she was probably lost in her own thoughts again. It wasn't helping that she wasn't even answering her phone, either.

He sighed defeatedly now as he sat on a bench outside in the university. Should he wait or come back home alone?

He was about to call her again when he heard a female voice. "Excuse me, err, where's the nearest um.. toilette?"

Taehyung was about to squint his eyes at her in wonder when he, instead, gasped.

It was her.

The french girl.

How did she come here? Did she study here in the same university as him?? Was destiny that generous to him??

"Um..." she didn't know what to say as Taehyung did nothing but stare at her, thinking he didn't understand. She didn't quite remember encountering him before.

"The.. rest..room?"

He wanted to answer her so bad, but his tongue felt as though it was tied a million ties as his heart skipped. What was wrong with him? He could talk to girls before like Ha-Eun.

.. But this wasn't just a girl.

"Um, you know what, I'll ask someone else, sorry. Thank you, anyways," she said before leaving him sitting there, his mouth still partly agape as he continuously banged his head mentally for his stupidity.

She was gone again...

Finally entering the familiar building, Ha-Eun shivered silently, walking to her apartment. Once she reached the door, though, she stopped.

"Um, hello, Ha-Eun."

"Um, doctor Kim? What is it? Is there anything?"

"No it's just.." he said, hands in his pockets as he nervously looked down at his shoes, "You didn't come twice in a row now and I was worried about you."

"But.. you could've called."

"You weren't answering."

Oh, shit. She always forgot her phone on silent mode because it was too noisy.

"Oh, okay. Sorry. And don't worry about me. I just started college again."

His eyebrows rose, "you go to university? What do you study?" He seemed excited.

"Err, graphic design."

He looked even more shocked now as he nodded.

"Well, I think I'll get going, then."

"But the weather is so cold right now."

"Yeah, it's already night. I should go home."

He was about to walk out of the building when a loud thunder rumbled, making the man jolt and scream.

He then turned back to Ha-Eun in shock then asked, "I suddenly want to drink something hot. Can I have some tea, please?"
