The New Side
This is one of my theories about who the next side could be. It won't be right but eh.
Prompt~ What if the new side is Nihilism?
Theory~
Due to the argument between Janus and Roman, there is a new found tension between Roman and his host.
Let's start with the fact that Roman is insecure. He is insecure because he feels like he has to please the others. He doesn't know what to do because in Selfishness vs Selflessness, he sided with Deceit and got shut down. So to try and please the sides, he began to view Janus as being evil even if it went against what he wanted.
He may have wanted to do this because he doesn't want to be seen as the "evil" twin. He doesn't want to be hated by the other sides so he tries to do anything to make them like him. That's probably the reason why in the latest video, he was reluctant to share his thoughts and opinions on the moral dilemmas Patton presented. He doesn't want to come off as argumentative because he wants to make them happy so they like him.
When Roman made fun of Janus' name, it was a low blow and he knew it. It was shallow because he couldn't think of anything wrong with the name. He was doing what he thought that he had to so he could still be classed as the "hero".
Of course Janus shouldn't have fired back the comment he made but I'll tall about that in another chapter.
When Roman said to Thomas, "I thought I was your hero." and Thomas replied,he looked to Janus and silently asked,
"Is that a lie?"
And when Janus nodded, something must have snapped in Roman. He might have taken that lie as he wasn't Thomas' hero anymore and that Thomas thought he was the villain. So like anyone would do if they felt attacked, he tried everything to try and convince his host that he wasn't the bad guy and when it didn't work.... he gave up. He decided it wasn't worth it to keep trying anymore. So he sunk out and didn't say anything more.
Now we come to the term "Nihilism". A term which here means:
"... the belief that life is meaningless."
Roman may be the cause of the new side appearing because he has given up all motivation to do anything anymore. He doesn't think anything is worth his efforts so he just doesn't do anything. This could cause Thomas to lose all his motivational drive to create and do anything. Hence Nihilism comes into play as he is the core of all those thoughts. He's the one telling Roman that nothing he does matters. That everything he does is pointless and that he just shouldn't try.
I think that Virgil is going to begin to panic and the new side is going to take advantage of it by interrogating him until he caves. Eventually, Virgil will break and Janus will have to step in.
This is just a theory of mine so it probably isn't right. Let me know your opinions on my theory and feel free to debate with me.
Role play idea~
After Roman sank out, he went straight to his room where he is met by the orange side who pretends to be his friend when in reality, he's tricking Roman into becoming Procrastination. When Patton goes to talk to him, he's close to switching so he runs and grabs Janus and Virgil who eventually talk him out of it.
Ship~ Any I don't mind
Catagory~ Angst or Fluff

Let me know if any of you guys want to do this and it's okay if none of you want to. I'm not forcing you to. O.O'
Edit~ So I watched the latest episode again and I just realised that there may actually be a chance that the new side is Nihilism. During the video Thomas says that he doesn't know what would motivate him to do good.
He says that everything he does is motivated by some sort of feeling but he doesn't know what feeling would motivate him to do good. I think that motivation came from Roman and when he left, he lost that feeling.
Again just a theory. 👌
