The day was finally here. All the prefects were decorating the hall and setting up the last minute preparations. The hall looked beautiful. They only had a day to prepare the hall due to meals. They started after dinner yesterday and today's meals would be delivered to the common rooms so they can set up the hall. They were passing out invitations to seventh and returning students. The invitation was colorful. Everyone who was helping was busy preparing for the ball. It was a group collaboration in decorating due to limited time and people. They were finished about 4:30 and the ball was at 7. The hall looked beautiful. They chat until 6 then the slytherins went to get the food and drinks. When they get back it was about 6:10 so everyone went to get dressed.

The group got ready in the head dorm. Draco, Ron, Harry and Blaise got ready in Draco's room, while Hermione, Luna, Ginny,and Pansy got ready in Hermione's room. First, was hair. Hermione put Ginny's hair in a fishtail braid. Then she made Luna's hair wavy and pinned a small amount with a light blue bow. Then she curled Pansy's hair in ringlets and let if fall off her shoulder. Then Ginny straightened Hermione's hair. It was about 6:50, so they put on their dresses and headed to the great hall.

Meanwhile the boys were getting ready and talking to each other. Draco was tying everyone's tie.
Draco's pov
"Hey mate, ready for the ball?" I ask Blaise, tying his tie. "Yeah dude you?" Blaise asked. "Yeah I'm nervous and excited. They all agreed. After everyone was dressed and their tie was ready we saw it was about 6:30. Half hour left until the ball. "Do you want to leave early and see if anybody needs help with anything at the great hall, while we wait for the girls? Then around 7:50 we head to the entrance of the great hall?" Harry asked. "Sure" Ron replied and we all agreed. We helped out until 6:48 then when to the entrance to welcome our dates. About 6:52 they showed up. And......

That was chapter 8. Sorry it's short, and ended in a cliffhanger. I just wanted you to see the girls' hair( pic at beginning) and the group getting ready. Next chapter will be the ball!
