After Draco and Hermione left the cabin, they walked back to their friends. Hermione went to Harry, Ron, and Ginny's cabin. "What did McGonagall want to see you about?" Her best friend Harry asked as she entered their compartment. " I got head girl!!!!" Hermione exclaimed in excitement. "Congrats 'Mione we are proud of you" Ginny replied and hugged Hermione. She sat down next to Ron. They were dating for a month but it didn't work out so they are back to being best friends. "The only bad news is that the Head Boy is Malfoy" she stated in frustration. "How did the ferret pull off getting that position?" Ron asked." Who knows. Anyway did you hear about Draco's father being sent to Azkaban?" Harry asked. "Yeah I heard" Ron said. "I didn't know" Hermione replied. They talked until they arrived at Hogwarts.

On the other side of the train Draco walked to his friend's compartment. Blaise and Pansy waited for him in their cabin. "Hey mate" Blaise said, greeting Draco at the door of the cabin. "Hey" Draco replied. "What did McGonagall want?" Blaise asked. "She wanted to congratulate me on the head boy position." Draco answered. "That's great mate!" Blaise replied. "You don't seem to happy about it." Blaise added. "Granger is head girl." Draco replied. "Oh" Blaise replied. Silence filled the cabin. The three were some of the many people who changed since the war. They were not prejudice anymore. They were only like that because their parents were death eaters and they were forced into that dark world and all the customs like the name calling. They never wanted any part of it and they never got a normal childhood because of their dad's in the death eaters. " do you hate granger anymore?" Blaise asked. "No, I stopped hating her after my psychotic aunt tortured her. It's also when I stopped being prejudice." Draco replied sadly thinking about the event. He would have asked her aunt to stop hurting her, but there was nothing he could do to stop it. If he did, he and his family would be killed. Luckily Potter and Weaselbee came in and took her away . But he didn't turn them in. That was all he could to to save them. Especially Hermione. While Hermione was lying on the ground after that horrid word was permanently etched into her skin, he looked at her. Really looked at her. She looked pretty, scared and so fragile. She had always been a beautiful girl, ever since the Yule ball. That's when he started to like her. Getting lost in his thoughts, he didn't realize the train was arriving at the school. He got up and went outside to help Hermione with their head boy/girl duty. Before the feast and sorting started she announced the head boy and girl. People cheered. After the feast McGonagall showed them to their new room.

Draco's pov
As me, Hermione and McGonagall, were walking down the corridor, I couldn't help but steal quick glances Hermione. Her features were so radiant in the glow of the moon. Her brown curls flowed down her back in long strands. As they approached the door to their new common room, we saw the portrait of professor Lupin guarding the door. I walked up to the painting door. " golden snitch" I said. The door drew wide open. Inside there was a huge common room with two shelves filled with books with a row on the bottom shelf for him and Hermione's books there was also two desks near the bookshelves. She would like the bookshelf. As he entered farther into the room he saw two recliners and two love seat couches in front of a cozy fireplace. The room was gold and silver, a mix between the two house colors. There were three doors. One door had a Gryffindor flag on the far right door which always obviously Hermione's room. There was a Slytherin flag on the door to the far left, his room obviously. He opened the middle door and it was a double bathroom. Which they shared. He looked back to Hermione who was looking around in awe.

Hermione's pov
As I stepped I the common room, I was in awe at the beauty of the room. I saw two big bookshelves filled with books except the last rows. The room was huge with two recliners, two love seat couches facing a wood burning fire place. She also saw two desks near the bookshelves. I saw the door to my room and walked to the bathroom, in between me and Malfoy's room. Oh great it was a shared double bathroom. I have to share a bathroom with the cute ferret. Did I just think he was cute? Sure he had awesome abs, thanks to quidditch, he still bullied her. Wait did I just say that he has great abs? It's true. Arg I feel frustrated with this back and forth thoughts that's going on in my mind. After the brief argument with myself, I decided to head to bed. "Good night ferret." I said as I headed to my room. "Goodnight granger, sleep well." Malfoy answered as he went to his room as well. Did he just say sleep well? No insults all day. Maybe he is changing for the better. I walked in my room to find a huge queen bed with silky gold and red striped sheets. My trunk and cat were already there. I opened my new closet to find all my clothes there and more. Well this is the room of requirement. Filled with all kinds of surprises. I close the closet doors and head to bed. Tomorrow was the first day of classes and I was excited for school to finally begin. I lay down and drift to sleep.

Draco's pov.
I open my room and I am amazed at what  I saw. I look in my closet and see my clothes and more. I slip into my satin green and silver sheets and close my eyes, my mind on Hermione. I fall into a peaceful sleep.
