37 My Darkest Moment

POV Elsa

I have been awake the whole night, I felt like drowning. I am drowning in my misery, I feel cold and like I couldn’t breathe. This time Jack won’t save me from the water’s cold embrace like back then. He can’t come, he can’t lift me to his arms and comfort me in my darkest moment. All good ended in a blink of an eye.

Why can’t I be with Jack. I couldn’t even hold his hand when he took his last breathe, Jack was begging that Hans would let me go. The feeling of being crushed on the inside suddenly bursts out, tears drop slowly on my knees and then I let it all out. I grit my teeth and my hand squeezes my dress, I am crying.

The creaking sound of a wooden door gets me to open my eyes. I see Hans standing on the doorway, “Have you reached a decision?” He stares at me while he seems really happy about the result, to see me in agony of the loss I just experienced. “The answer is no,” I whispered. I will never marry him.

Hans walks to me and grabs my arm, he readies himself by lifting his hand in the air. I close my eyes and I am waiting that he hits me to my face with the back of his hand. When the hit doesn’t come I slowly open my eyes which feel sour from all the crying. Hans is lowering his hand and chuckles, “I won’t hit my future wife. That would be cruel.”

I spit on Hans feet and he groans. He pulls me up and drags me outside from my room that I would rather call a prison. There was no bed, no furniture at all. “If you won’t marry me I will make you suffer,” Hans yells to me and pushes me to sit on a chair. He dragged me to dining table.

Hans slams a bowl filled with porridge in front of me. “Eat up,” he hissed to me and I glared at him. It was  a lumpy looking disgusting plate filled with his filthy cooking. “No thank you, besides.. I don’t feel that good in the mornings,” I threw the bowl to ground and the sticky porridge was all over his clothes. I smiled after a while for a slight moment. I enjoyed looking at him while he tried to clean himself.

“You wench!” Hans yelled and placed another bowl in front of me. “Eat, I don’t want my soon to be wife starving herself,” he forced me to take the spoon and stuffed some of the porridge in my mouth. I coughed it out. “I already told you. We are not getting married and I feel sick even before eating that nasty stuff!” I screamed to him.

Hans was glaring at me, “Is that so.. morning sickness..hah.. wait. Don’t tell me.” His eyes widened and I crossed my arms. I will never tell him about me expecting a child. Hans gritted his teeth and opened the room to my imprisonment again, “Sure … Let us see how co-operative you are after spending the day in darkness.” He laughed and went to nail the windows shut. I saw how darkness filled the room.

Something clattered on the floor. A voice of thunder filled the air, Hans dropped the hammer because of the storm that suddenly appeared. The window shutters were  slamming against the windows outside. Wind was rushing inside from the narrow gaps between the logs.

Lightning strikes were splitting the air and sending flashes of light. Blue light. Why are lightnings blue? I stood up and slowly walked towards the window. I rubbed my sour feeling wrists which hans was just before squeezing when he dragged me to dining table.

Wind was making the log house give out cracking sounds. Hans ran to door and locked it. “Get under the table!” He yelled and I just kept standing still.

WHOOM.

The door just came out from the frames and flew to otherside of the room. Mist and fog floated inside and I saw how electricity came in. Blue electric waves were almost like dancing in the air.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Something or someone just knocked the wall. I hold my breath while I stare towards the door. Hans has fallen to ground and shivering from fear. I hear steps, someone is walking in the middle of the fog, slowly and certainly. Clap. Clap. Something made from wood is hitting on the floor while that someone walks.

I am gasping for air while I watch the sight. It starts to rain snow and I am trying to swallow the lumpy feeling. The person walks closer. “WHAT IS HAPPENING!” Hans yells over the loud noise of the storm. I don’t care. I don’t even blink while I watch at the intruder.

The fog starts to clear out. My eyes wander from down to up. Brown pants end up in blue hoodie. The pale colored neck and strong chin, a smirk that melts my heart. Cyan blue eyes which stare at me keenly, white overgrown hair that wind is waving. He slams his staff to ground and the storm disappears, floor is catching ice. He opens his mouth and smiles while speaking, “I told you. You’re the star that I follow, without you my moon the night would be dark.”

POV Jack

Dream like state. Everything is blurry from the sounds to my sight to the things I am feeling. I hear words reaching to me.

Breathe Jack,” the voice tells me. I gasp for air and I open my eyes. I have to blink, it hurts to see the light. I look around me, I am in a room. I held my head and I start to sit. “Mmmh.. what is going on,” I whisper to myself.

Suddenly it feels like my head is exploding. I fell to ground yelling from the pain, it is like images are flashing in front of my eyes. Everything.

I see myself playing in the snow with a girl named Emma, my little sister. I see myself from a mirror in a place that looks like a hospital, I am wearing a patient outfit. Then the image of me with brown hair and eyes turns to another one, I am staring at ice and touching my face. This image shows me with blue eyes, white hair and pale skin. A-are these memories?

Again I see a childhood memory, me without friends and being protected from not to overdo anything. Then I am hanging from a tree branch upside down, refusing to listen of my mother begging me to come down. I chuckled to that memory but then it switched again. This time I heard a voice, “I am scared.”

My head is almost beating like a heart, the pain is excruciating. It is like my whole lifetime is flashing in my head.

Now my eyes widened, I am now witnessing a scene from past. A little girl with platinum blonde hair is in the middle of cracking ice. I am reaching to her. Then I feel how I am drowning. The memory is so real, it caused me to gasp for air when my head went below the water.

Again the image changed. I was pulling someone out from water. It was a girl, no, a woman. The most beautiful one I have ever seen. I saved her. “Stop fooling around Frosty!” A  voice like a whisper changes the memory. The same woman is staring at me angrily and I am laughing, messing around.

I stare at the woman in my memory, her ice blue eyes and graceful appearance. Now my head feels like exploding, memories rush in my mind. She is my wife, my wife. The pain stops. “Elsa!” I exhaled and now I remember her. I stand up and my body feels a bit weak. I walk to a dressing mirror and my hand touches my face.

I see myself in a tuxedo, my pale skin looks even paler against the black fabric. Cyan blue eyes are looking back at me. My hand ruffles my white hair. “I am back, but how?” I whispered while I stared at me.

The piece of the Spirit of Winter that was left in Elsa moved in to you,” I heard the same voice again. “Manny?” I gasped. Yeah, it is him – the Man in the Moon. “It made it possible to the rest of the Spirit to return to you since the part that was remaining in Elsa stayed untouched by the curse,” Manny continued.

I rubbed my neck, I felt anxious and I paced around the room. Moon was just barely showing on the night sky, Emma was still celebrating her wedding outside. “H-how? Why didn’t this happen earlier?” I yelled to the moon. No one paid any attention to my yells in the outside. I was sure the Spirit of Winter again, no one would see or hear me if they don’t believe in me. “Everything has a reason, Jack,” Manny said simply.

I stare at the moon and I narrow my eyebrows. Then I remember something else. “HANS!” I yell and I run to window. I remember how he took Elsa. ”Please wind..hear me.. I need to go to Arendelle,” I begged. I need my staff and it is in kingdom of Arendelle. I hope that wind decides to help me even though I don’t have my staff.

Suddenly the wind goes through my hair. “Thank you!” I laughed and I jumped outside, the wind was carrying me. With huge speed it took me to Arendelle. The window to our bedroom opened and I stormed in. I opened the closet and I found my staff. Quickly I changed back to my hoodie and pants, I kicked off the shiny black shoes.

I clenched my staff in my hand. “Oh I am glad to have you back again,” I smiled to my staff. Then I gritted my teeth,  “Time for payback.” I walked towards the window and called the wind. I traveled around the world. Then I had an odd feeling near Burgess.

I flew on top of a house, the air condition vent spin around when I landed on it. I look towards the woods. It is like it is calling me. I fly closer, now I know. Elsa must be there. I am panting and feeling angry. Storm is rising around me, blue lightning are striking and fog is surrounding me. I see a cabin down and I land to ground.

I blasted the door open to the cabin. I felt so angry right now, I knocked the wall before entering. I saw that lowlife Hans laying on the ground, fearful of the things that were happening. Elsa was standing near him. My expression softened when I saw her, I walk towards her. I see her examining me with her gaze, a tear tries to form in my eye. I smile to her, “I told you. You’re the star that I follow, without you my moon the night would be dark.”

She seems now to be recognizing me. “Told you that I will always found you,” I laughed and she started to cry. She was smiling, laughing and panting at the same time. “Sweet star, don’t you cry. I am back,” I went to her and wiped a tear from her eye.

Suddenly Elsa took a fierce look and she turned to face Hans. “You better start to believe in Jack Frost in this instant or you don’t know what hit you!” She yelled to him and caused me to laugh. “Shut up wench,” Hans stood up and was ready to hit Elsa. I hit him to wall with my staff.

Hans was staring at me, his gaze was frightened. It was like he would be staring at a ghost. “Y-you died?” He gasped. ”Yup. You killed Jack Frost the Spirit of Winter,” I hissed to him. ”S-sorry, I will leave and never return,” Hans gasped. I put down my staff, “Fine. Go.”

Hans stood up and walked towards the doorway leading outside. Suddenly he run to his jacket which was hanged near the door. He took out something. A gun.

He aimed to Elsa and I felt furious. I made an ice wall to stop the bullet which he fired. Immediately I send an icy blast to him. He froze and flew against the wall. He shattered into tiny ice crystals. That was the end of him.

I embraced Elsa, she hugged me tightly. “You’re back! H-how?” She laughed while crying from happiness. “We could give a thank you for the spirit part that was left inside you when you were a baby. That is why you lost your powers yesterday,” I kissed her forehead.

Suddenly Elsa backed up. “S-so.. you will go back for being a guardian? This is the goodbyes?” She whispered sadly. I shook my head, ”I will be a guardian again.” I lifted my left hand up and I pointed at the wedding ring, “See.. Still attached, I will always love you and I am your husband.” I smiled to her and reached to her hand. Our fingers entwined and she kissed me to my lips.

Elsa’s tears tasted salty, she was still shedding her tears when we kissed. I wiped the tears away and now she was smiling. I smirked to her, “And who are you? “ Her eyes widened. ”Just kidding,” I laughed, ” I remember actually everything now. It is like my human memories are now getting along with my spirit memories.” She slapped my chest. “Stop scaring me! I am pregnant you know! Scaring me is not alright!”  She pouted.

My cheeks blushed. Yeah, in fact she is pregnant. I lift her to my arms, “Time to go home?” Elsa gasps, “Not the flying again?” I nip at her lower lip while I kiss her. “Yup, some flying alright,” I laughed and she blushed. Her head pressed against my chest. We flew to Arendelle and Elsa gave a call to my parents. She promised to explain our disappearance from the wedding later. That sure will be a hard thing to explain.

“So..Elsa..” I whispered while Elsa layed in bed. “Yeah?” She smiled. ”I was wondering, if you want I can give your powers back.. Would you want it?” I pet her head and she seems to be thinking. ”Mmm.. why not?” She laughed.

Her agreement surprised me. ”You would?” I gasped. “Sure, I mean.. You are here now, you helped me to control my powers,” she wiped a hairstrand from her face. “Here it goes,” I smiled to her and I gave her a long passionate kiss. A part of my spirit powers transferred to her.

“Try it out?” I whispered and brushed Elsa’s lower lip with my thumb. She nodded and moved her fingers over my head. “How sweet,” she giggled and I looked on top of my head. My cheeks blushed deeply when I realized that she had done a headpiece from ice, they were ice flowers that were like a halo over my head. “Haha, really funny,” I pouted but laughed soon. She snuggled against my chest before falling to sleep.
