15 Who Could Fix a Broken Heart?

POV Jack

Last nights dream was odd. Who was the woman and how about the man? Why did the Spirit of Winter want to be part of that unborn baby? These questions have been on my mind whole day.

”Jack!” I startled when Elsa called out my name. Here I was sitting on the edge of window still minding my own business until I had to take support so I wouldn’t fall. ”Hi,” I said smiling to her without caring of the fact that I was now hanging outside the window. My other hand which was hanging now on the outside did a small waving gesture in the air and soon wind lend me a helping hand. Softly I landed back to Elsa’s bedroom.

Elsa was staring at me shocked, I made a bow while bending my left hand behind of my back and waving my right hand in the air like it was doing overdone circles. ”Stop fooling around, Jack!” She ordered me, ”You could have died-,” her reaction amused me, ”Die? You’ve got to be kidding me!” I almost laughed my lungs out and saw her turning red. ”Ah! You know what I mean, Frosty!” She crossed her arms, lifted her chin up in graceful way and didn’t watch to me anymore.

I threw my staff to my shoulder and went to her. ”Sorry, it sounded a little funny just now.” She still wasn’t talking to me. ”Don’t make me do this to you!” I tried to sound mischievous. ”Do what?” She asked quickly with high tone. ”Something surprising and maybe little weird.” I went now so close to her that my chest almost touched her body. ”Have you ever heard what Jack Frost is good at?” I smirked and furrowed my eyebrows, staring at her to see her reaction.

Obviously Elsa started to think and her eyes glanced at me nervously numerous times. It also seemed that she tried to find a way out from the situation. Unfortunately for her it was me between her and the exit. ”Well, in games and pranks,” she finally said proudly. ”Yeah,” I leaned towards her. My lips touched her nose and her eyes widened. I pulled away and smirked, ”I nip at people’s noses. Be glad that I didn’t use my teeth.” I chuckled.

”W-why!” She turned around quickly. I saw how her hands started to embrace her. ”Are you alright?” I whispered. ”Yeah but you aren’t!” She yelled while she turned around with furious look. A blizzard surrounded me and I couldn’t see a thing.

Suddenly pair of arms tightened around my waist. Then I felt how my hands were moved close to each other and then frozen together. The blizzard wore off and I heard Elsa laughing. ”What are you doing?” My feelings were surprised and desperate when I tried to free myself. ”Nothing special!” Her voice was sounding like a happy chirping bird. The birds that you hear so early in the morning that they annoy you when you try to sleep.

Elsa came in front of me and pushed me from my chest. She had frozen my feet together also, that I noticed when I started to fall. I fell on the foor and noticed how she had taken my staff. ”How does it work?” She was examining it. ”Hey! It is mine!” I tried to struggle so the ice would break from my hands but it didn’t work. She furrowed and smirked with confidence. ”Nah! No way Frosty!” She pushed me back down from my sitting position using the end of my staff. ”Elsa,” I whispered as if I tried to order her to free me.

Instead of letting me go she sat on my chest. ”So, prank master and winter’s heart, ” her eyebrows furrowed again as she looked at me. A strange feeling was starting to dwell inside of me. ”Yea? What you have in your mind?” I smiled to her and she laughed. ”Well, I wanted to get to know you more today… but for starters.” I saw how she lifted her hands in the air and was moving her fngers. ”Does a spirit tickle?” As she was saying it I felt how her fingers touched me, my ribs.

”Nope,” I smiled to her when her hands tried to tickle my stomach. She narrowed her eyebrows and focused. ”I will find your weak spot!” She was determined and her hands examined my body.

POV Elsa

”So Frosty! Almost done. One more place to check.” Jack rolled his eyes when I had just finished my try to tickle him from his armpits. ”Where would that be then?” He laughed and his white teeth were showing. Oh god, not now. Somehow I feel strange when he laughs, smiles or takes that precise smirk to his face. His joy must be the thing that makes me feel like this. He is so real even though he is a guardian, I mean his way to live and enjoy little things.

I lean close to him. ”Here,” I whisper and let my nose touch his neck. He shivers and stops breathing for while. This must be it. I hold my hair with my left hand so it wont get in the way. I blow some air slowly to his neck, from up to down and repeating it. His body now shakes under me. ”N-no! Stop!” His voice is higher than normal which makes me smile. ”Never!” I say and brush my front finger over his neck. He bursts into laughter. Then a loud crack comes from his hands, he just broke free from the ice. His arms go around me and he mades us roll. He is now on top of me. ”I..I told you to stop!” He smirks widely and sounds out of breath because of the laughing. I smile to him shyly.

For a moment we were in that position. Just smiling to each other and breathing until I realized what was going on. I pushed him away and he laughed. “Let’s go somewhere!” He yelled and when I felt troubled he winked to me. “You wanted to know some things about me, right?” I nodded and he rose up, he gave me his hand which I accepted. He pulled me up.

“I want to show you  a place,” he smirked. “Flying again, right?” I asked nervously and without an answer he lifted me in the air. This time I noticed how he placed me right away in a position where the air wouldn’t hit my face that much when we fly. “I appreciate this,” I smiled while whispering it to him. It made him laugh from the bottom of his heart.

We flew to a small town and landed behind of a small clothing boutique. I glanced at him, “Why in here?” He let me go to my own feet. “First place to where I traveled after becoming Jack Frost.” The he pinched the fabric of his hoodie and pointed at trash cans. “Some cloth boutique worker threw this hoodie to dumpsters then. I liked that color and saved it. Perfectly fine hoodie but maybe too hard to sell since they threw it away.” I blinked my eyes several times and watched him in misbelieve. “You’ve had that hoodie so long?” He chuckled, “Yeah.”

He lifted me up again and we flew to a mountain. “Here I come to clear my thoughts. Nice and fresh air in here,” he smirked. “Alright but what things you like or hate?” He rubbed his chin and kneeled to ground. He took some snow in his hands which he then squashed. “I like winter and funny things,” he shrugs his shoulders and his blue eyes nailed to me. “And I like you Elsa. It is like fun and winter has been combined in you,” he said while smiling warmly. I tangled in my words and my heart started to flutter, “Ah..Oh.. If you feel that way.”

“And the night sky I like with the moon,” he nodded towards the moon. I smiled, “Yeah. But we must head back or Anna might get worried.” I went to him as he stood up. He grinned when I placed my arms around him.

At Arendelle I started to feel like I should tell him about myself. We were walking at the corridor. After I checked that no one would be listening I called his name, mainly people might think that I would be going crazy talking to myself. “Yeah?” Jack answered while he was walking next to me. “Do you want to know something about me?” I asked shyly and he laughed which made me feel like he wasn’t interested at all.

Instead he started to speak. “I know that you love white roses and chocolate. You have a sweet and caring little sister who you also love,” he breathed in before continuing. “And you’re awesome with your powers. You must believe in yourself more.” I was walking slower than him after hearing all these things from him. He kept walking before me and didn’t look at my direction, not even once while he was telling me these things. “Your favorite colors are blue and purple,” he sounded exited while he spoke fast. “You know how to have fun and…” Then he stop walking and was staring at something.

“Who are they?” He looked at a painting and narrowed his eyes. He seemed puzzled. “Those are my parents,” I smiled. They were so happy back then, before I was born. “No,” Jack whispered. I glanced at him. “Yes they are. Is something wrong?” He shook my hand from his shoulder right away when I touched him. “I am so sorry,” his voice was breaking apart.

POV Jack

I watch at the painting. How can I confess this to her? “What is wrong Jack?” She insists to know and I turn myself around to look at her. I have seen her parents before or at least the Spirit that lives inside of me has. “Elsa, I must tell you something.” She keeps staring at me. “I know how you ended up with your powers,” I start and my hand goes through my hair. The tension is killing me.

“Where?” She asks shortly and coldly. “Before you were born the Spirit of Winter did something. I am truly sorry.” I look at her and feel helpless. “How?” Now she even seems emotionless. “The Spirit of Winter wanted to have you as its physical form but it failed on the attempt. In the process some of its power was left in you.” As I said it I gently pressed her chest with my front finger. Her gaze went to floor for a moment.

Her eyes were filled with tears as she watched me. “So the curse was after all done by the Spirit of Winter also known as Jack Frost?” Her voice broke with each word she said. “Kind of, yes,” I whispered and felt bad for her.

The moment of silence felt like ages. “Jack. I want you to leave. Now.” She sounded like saying those words meant nothing to her. Telling me to leave. “But I wasn’t Jack Frost back then. I hope you understand?” I tried to touch her but she pulled herself away. “Leave. Now. You did this or at least part of you did! At this moment I don’t want to see you!” I saw how she tried not to cry. “I will go. I hope that we will meet once again.” I slammed the guestroom door open and blasted the window open also. I didn’t look back when I flew off. She mustn’t know how bad I feel to leave her side. My first friendship broken and I don’t know how to fix it.
