13 I Married Who?

POV Elsa

“What are you doing Jack?” I peeked over his shoulder as he sat on my chair in front of my desk. I saw him working on a piece of ice with a knife. “Just trying something out,” he smirked. He was carving it with a knife, “Can’t you just do it without actually working on it like that? Like just make it ready on your mind and the ice figure would appear?” He hummed, “Yeah but I really want to try. It was a thing from my past, you know.”

The window was open and a breeze of wind came inside. His hair was lifted when the air passed us and I felt how his hair brushed my cheek almost unnoticeably. He was still working on the figure and I felt my cheeks getting hotter as I got a glimpse of his scent. It was so fresh and made you want more. Ah! What am I thinking, quickly I let go of the chair which he is sitting and took few steps back.

That darn hair! Gets in every places. Why would a man need that long hair anyway? I furrowed my eyebrows and then took scissors from my dressing table. I sneaked behind of him with my scissors ready. I pinched a strand of hair between my fingers and he didn’t notice. A quick snap and I was holding the strand. He fell to ground suddenly, “Ah! What was that!” He yelled and stared at me who was holding piece of his hair in the other hand and the scissors in the other. Quickly I hid my hands behind of my back, “Just can’t say.. I wonder what it was.”

He seemed angry, “Don’t ever touch my hair again!” That certainly won’t come to reality, he needs a haircut in my opinion. “You need a haircut,” I stated and winked my eye at him. “I certainly do not! This is me and you should live with it.” He crossed his arms and looked away from me. Still he sat on the floor.

“You gave me a heart attack!” He started to laugh, “And I almost cut my finger off!” I saw blood dripping from his middle finger. Yeah, he was carving the figure when I did that. “I AM SO SORRY!” I kneeled next to him and took his hand in mine. “I always tend to hurt people,” I whispered while I made the bleeding stop with my powers of ice. “Well, maybe I overreacted a bit,” he smirked to me and then messed my hair with his other hand. “Don’t trouble your head too much with it, alright?”

I nodded to him and saw how he smoothly floated himself into standing position. He gave me his hand which he used to pull me up. His eyes were shimmering like trees when they are frosted after cold winter night. My heart was running wild as I watched him. Why he makes me feel like this?

I avoided his gaze by watching my desk. The figure was laying on its side and I took it to my hands. “Do you like it?” He sounded like he was smiling. Carefully I examined the figure, it was a woman. A woman who was just like me. Her dress, and the shape. He was still working on with the facial features and hair but it must have been me. However the position he had done it was much more confident looking than I actually am, with hands crossed and all. “Is this me?” I whispered. He had done figures like this before, from wood, which I recall now and took a quick glance at my cloth cabinet where I had hit the wooden figure.

“Yeah, it is you,” he laughed. “It is beautiful, you have talents Jack.” He started to mess with his hair again, maybe he likes his hair because of that. Something to do when he is nervous, it is like when I put on my gloves to conceal myself. “It is for you-,” he smiled, “-for my friend.”

He touched my shoulder but quickly let go and shook his hand while laughing. “What is it?” I stared at his reaction. “Still a bit sour from the cut.” It was like he was mocking at me. “I told you that I am sorry, like truly sorry.” He nodded.

“So, Elsa. Any plans for the weekend?” He smirked and I realized that our weekend trip didn’t take that long since we used his ability to fly. Now it was Saturday. “Crap! My bag went to America!” He started to laugh, ”You will get it back.” Actually it doesn’t matter that much since I mainly use ice to make my dresses. There were just dresses from fabric.

“Umm.. I don’t have much plans for the weekend.” His eyes started to shine. “So, friend -,” he was enjoying using that word too much, “- do you believe in Guardians?” I took a moment to think, “what are the Guardians?” He smiled, “I am the Guardian of Fun who takes care of the children of the world. It is part of me like being Winter Spirit and Jack Frost.” He took a breath, “And there are other Guardians too if you believe in me that they exist I can introduce you to them,” he smirked, “ -- Today.”

I narrowed my eyebrows and he was chuckling for my wondering look. Suddenly he used his powers to create frost figures that were moving. How does he do that? “Here is North, he is known as Santa Claus here. He is the Guardian of Wonder.” He smiled while another frost figure came in front of me. “This grumpy one here is Kangaroo, eh..I mean Easter Bunny. The Guardian of Hope.” My eyes nailed on a odd looking and somehow beautiful looking figure. “Oh! That is Toothiana, I call her Tooth. She is the Guardian of Memories and she let me saw my memory of the time I saved you. Unfortunately it was voiceless, haha!”

His excitement made me also excited. We both were now laughing at the figures. “One more! Here is Sandy, he is the Guardian of Dreams. My closest one in the Guardian family even though he doesn’t speak.” I saw how a small man figure was using a gigantic ray as his so called horse. Other ones were doing also something, I think those were their things. The Bunny was leaning with confidence and holding a boomerang. North was showing his muscles or tapping his belly. Toothiana flew fast from place to another.

“I want to see you,” I smiled at Jack when I turned to face him. His wide and excited smile changed to confused look. Soon he smirked to me and smiled warmly, “Alright.” Soon I saw him doing a frost figure from himself. First the figure was wearing hoodie on top of his head and hands inside of his pocket. Then it chuckled which made the hood fall off from its head. The figure took alerted position and smirked while blowing to its hand, it did a snowball. The figure aimed the snowball at bunny and threw it. It hit Bunny’s head and the figure winked at me. The sight made me giggle and Jack watched me with word satisfaction written all over his expression.

“I do believe them now! They look like nice people.” Jack’s fingers touched my nose. Did he just nip me? “Haha! Not people, guardians. They have their own spirits you know.” His deep and caring voice made chills go on my back. “Oh, yeah,” I commented shyly. He stood in front of me, “I give you the honor to take the first step.” He lifted his chin and smiled arrogantly, he was playing with me again. Those word games of his.

“My pleasure,” I furrowed my eyebrows and wrapped my hands around his neck. He was holding his breath for a moment before his chilly feeling breath run from his lungs. “You’re more confident?” He whispered and as he lifted me to his arms I realized that I forgot my gloves. “Let me --,” he cut me off before I could say anything about me wanting to put on the gloves. “No you won’t use those! Besides you can’t hurt the actual spirit of winter with snow or ice. Right?” He smiled and made me feel a little better.

“W-where are we going?” He was walking towards my window. “To North Pole,” he jumped to air and I felt the fast increasing speed on my body. He saw me trying to cover my face and so he slightly corrected my position in his arms. My head was now able to rest against his chest. Again I was breathing in his scent.

“Open your eyes,” he soon told me. As I opened them I noticed that we were flying slower towards a building in Antarctica or something like that. “They are here?” I asked with curiousness. ”Mm..Yeah, we have meetings on Saturdays since what happened with Pitch. We need to be a more active group.”

He pushed the door open with his wind and the cheerful conversation just ended when we came inside. Everyone was staring at us. There were the actual people that the frost figures presented before. “H-hi!” I waved my hand to them. Then Tooth started to squeal in excitement, ”JACK!” She quickly flew at us and was opening my mouth. “I didn’t know you’ve planned marriage!” She squealed again and was touching my teeth then I realized what she just said. Jack was still holding me like a bride. “Your wife has nice teeth,” she said happily and I heard Jack saying,“What?”

I pushed Tooth away from me  and placed my hand in front of my mouth. “Let me go,” I tried to say but Jack looked confused. “LET ME GO!” I took the hand from my mouth. Jack let go of me and showed the sign of remorse. “We are NOT married,” I told to Tooth. “But it is my pleasure to meet you Guardians,” I bowed to them.

“Is she royal or something?” I heard North whispering to Jack with Russian accent. Jack nodded, “Good for you Frosty,” he smiled and showed me thumbs up. These people are making me feel confused. “They’re not dating! Right mate?” Bunny was staring at Jack. ”Nope,” Jack chuckled. ”See, so let the girl rest!” Bunny grinned to me. “Yes, hard to be a guardian,” North shrug his shoulders.

“Jack is too..well..uh..” I started and everyone was staring at me. “Well, he takes things too lightly in my taste and his hair is overgrown..and..uh..” Everyone started to laugh, including Jack. Jack wiped tears of laughter from his eyes, “S-she is just my friend. To be precise she is the girl who I rescued in my memory.”

North showed me his workshop, Jack was left with the other Guardians and I saw him kneeling in front of Sandy. Sandy showed him some images and he was laughing with others. A yeti was painting some dolls to light pink when North stop in front of him. “Ah! You’re a girl. What do you think of the color?” I looked at the doll and said, ”Personally I like light blue.” North nodded in approval, “Light blue it is. Change it!” The yeti made frustrated sound and then I saw the 500 readymade light pink dolls. I made a “I am sorry” with moving my lips and not talking out loud to the yeti when we left. He just knocked the pile to ground.

When we got back I saw a table with a feast. So much food and.. “CHOCOLATE!” I yelled in excitement when I saw the bowl of chocolate. Then I felt my cheeks blushing, Bunny looked at me with wide eyes. “Here, take one as starters,” Jack handed me some chocolate while smirking. “T-thanks,” I ate a piece.

It was late at night when we returned to Arendelle. After changing my clothes we went to bed. This time Jack just jumped next to me without hesitation. He was talking a lot in a cheerful way. We discussed about the Guardians late at night. He told me about their fight with Pitch and I now really started to realize how powerful he was. His looks are just deceiving. It was 2 am when we wished each other good night.
