CHAPTER TWO

Seokjin couldn't help but to feel so excited, as he skipped down the halls with a big smile plastered on his face. It was a Saturday morning, meaning his father is coming to visit him like always.

If it wasn't for his anti aging  face, he would've look like an actual 27 year old running down the hallway like a kid. Even after he hit puberty 12 years ago, Seokjin's  soft facial features have stayed the same.

The omega's good mood began to spread a positive aura around the place, making the people around him also happy.

In about 20 minutes, he reaches his destination and the smile on his face grew while his eyes flashed a crystal blue color before returning back to its original dark brown.

He pushes open the double doors, leading him inside the place that looks like one of those visitor rooms you see in prisons.

There was a glass wall just six feet away from where he stood, dividing the room in half. On the other side of the divider also had double doors at the very back just like the one behind Jin.

There were two chairs on each side of the glass wall, and about 10 cameras placed on each corners to monitor the activities inside the room.

Seokjin walked closer to the glass and sat on the chair, tapping his feet in anticipation while he waits for his appa.

Even though they always see each other every Saturday, Seokjin already misses him when its time for his father to leave. Can't really blame him for being a little impatient as he waits for his dad, since he is the only family member Seokjin has.

Yeah, Seokjin knows about what happened to his mother and older brother. Which is why whenever Namjung visits him, the latter would try and avoid any topics that relates to them. Seokjin is just not sure if his father has moved on from the past or not.

Namjung did told him that he moved houses two days before the burial of Seoyoon and Seokjung. He just couldn't stay in the same house they died in, along with all the memories they had together as a family.

Plus the government didn't allow Seokjin to live with his father, so Namjung now lives alone in a one bedroom apartment seeing it was his only option.

As the double doors on the other side of the room opens, Seokjin's head perks up immediately at the sight of his appa making his way inside.

The man walked closer to the glass wall with a longing look on his face, sitting on the other chair with a smile on his wrinkled face.

"Appa!" Seokjin said out loud in glee, "Seokjin my boy, how are you?" Namjung asked with a soft calm tone.

"I've been doing well, how about you? Getting old isn't becoming a struggle for you now is it," Seokjin said making his dad giggle at the last comment.

"No not at all, in fact I'm as young as a jug of milk four weeks passed its expiration date," he jokes and they both irrupt into a fit of laughter.

The two talked with each other until Namjung realizes he had something to give to Seokjin. "Oh I forgot, I actually have a gift for you son," he said rummaging through his pockets of his cargo pants.

Seokjin stirred in his chair while looking at his father trying to find his gift. "One of my clients were foreigners and gave me this as a tip," Namjung then hands him a one dollar bill through an opening of the glass.

"Oooh, isn't this American currency," Seokjin takes the bill and observes the object in fascination.

"Looks nice doesn't it," Namjung cooed at Seokjin who looked adorable when he was curious. Even though the omega has grown a lot through the years, he will always be the same sneaky baby boy in Namjung's eyes.

"It's very nice. It looks a lot different than our money," Seokjin had a goofy grin on his face, "one day appa, when I'm finally free to go outside. Let's travel to every country and collect their money as souvenirs," the latter giggled.

Namjung chuckled as well while looking at Seokjin with fatherly love. "Just be a little more patient Seokjin. And I promise we will travel the world together one day," he thought.

The two continued to have a conversation and changing subjects here and then with Seokjin asking questions about the outside world.

They spent about three hours in that room talking, reminiscing memories, and even exchanging a few dad jokes. Until one of the guards outside called for Namjung, telling him that visiting hours were over.

"Alright Jin, I guess it's time for me to leave now," Namjung smiled at Seokjin sadly, as the omega had a sad pout. "We'll talk again more next week okay?" his dad said preparing to leave the room.

"I'll be waiting," Seokjin called out to his dad who was already standing by the door. "Of course! Bye, love you son," he waved at the omega receiving a wave back, "bye," Seokjing said in a low voice the second his dad stepped out the door.

He soon stood up from his seat and sighed while looking at the other chair where his dad was just sitting minutes ago.

"See you soon."

---

Seokjin trudged up the stairs towards his room, walking inside quietly and shutting the door behind him.

He then made his way towards and sits by his desk that had a couple of books, pencils, and his laptop scattered over it. He opens his laptop, opening up a window to google and searched for information about American currency.

In front of his desk was a wide window with a beautiful view of the facility's private garden and pond outside. In the distance you could see a bunch of tall buildings where the city was.

Seokjin's attention was then diverted out the window when he hears the loud roaring of an engine outside, and sees a plane high up in the skies passing over the laboratory then heads towards the city.

"Waaah," he said in awe, watching the plane disappear behind a tall tower in the distance. A sad smile starts to appear on Seokjin's face right when the plane was no longer in sight.

"A good view over the city while flying must be a nice experience."
