Hinami: Mmmmm....

Jed pats her head with one arm while the other was holding the Scarlet Queen back from ripping the kid apart.

Ryuoko: Is she alright?

SQ: *HISS*

Jed: She's alright. Is this your child?

Ryuoko: She is. *bow* Thank you for looking out for my daughter. I lost sight of her and I worried-

Makima: She was somewhere else, lost and afraid. Don't worry though. She is safe now.

She was unnerved, seeing Makima's unnatural eyes staring at her. She didn't seem or smell like a ghoul, and yet the whole group except for Layla and somehow Jed screamed danger as Hinami held Daisy.

Hinami: Woah....what is it?

Jed: A bunny.

Hinami: A.....bunny?

Jed nods as she squishes the rabbit against her face.

Hinami: So cute~

Jed: What's this about a bookstore?

Ryuoko: I was going to teach my daughter how to read. Though.....she kind of got lost-

She was startled as Pochita jumps into her arms and rolls around.

Ryuoko: Is the blade.....normal on its head?

Jed: He's a special case but....still one of the nicest in the world.

SQ: *GRUMBLE*

Jed: I was lost in thought....

Jed: Nothing......it was nothing. And yes, I did have kids. They died though.

Layla: Kids? I didn't hear of this before.

Jed: I had some before with my wife......but............Nevermind.

His side brought out bags of food before devouring them all though Jed was practically inhaling his morsels at light speed as his stomach could never be fulfilled after all the years of not eating.

Jed: You hungry?

Ryuoko: Oh......no we're good-

*RRRRRIIIPPP*
*SLICE*

In the span of 0.2 seconds, he rips his arm off, chops up the meat, puts it on a plate, cooks it, makes his arm regenerate back, and the blood disappears on everything as he held the plate out.

Jed: Eat.

Hinami: B-But-

Jed: I chopped my own arm off for this. Eat.

Ryuoko/Hinami: EH?!

Later

Hinami: Mmmm.....

Ryuoko: Just ahead is a cafe where we stay at though....I'm planning to move out soon.

Layla: A cafe.....I always wanted to try something like coffee.

Makima: It's what I drink in the morning.

Artoria: Don't you not run out of energy?

Makima: For the taste really.

Manny: *panting*

Jed: Jerry can't get any caffeine though. He......becomes rather hyper and queasy after consuming even a small amount of it.

Ryuoko: The....strange creature won't get it then- the windows are broken?

*CRUSH*

Jed dodges a tendril before grabbing a big man's head and pushes down. Unlike the scene, the man was crushed instantly, blood and guts spilling everywhere and all his organs and bones shattered and squished beyond recognition.

Layla: 'I'm gonna have to get used to this.'

Makima: 'He was weak anyway.'

SQ: 'A fitting death for a weakling and scum like that ghoul.'

Ryuoko:.....YOU KILLED HIM!

Jed: He tried to kill me. Isn't that self defense?

Hinami was scared, seeing the guy who was with the big scary man before hiding behind Jed though the guy ran away quickly out of fear.

Jed: Can I order one cappuccino?

Workers:......

Everyone tells their order, and they were all silent before the waiter takes their order and heads away.

*PLOP*

Manny/Pochita: ARF!

Makima: I would like some black coffee.

Everyone tells their order before they all sat down in their seats.

Layla: You seem really good with kids.

Jed: I have experience. It's one of the many joys in my past...........yet is always fleeting.

Artoria:....'Kids huh? Maybe he can adopt one.'

Jed: Life is so fragile though. One day you're happy, and the next you lose everything. But sometimes, the current little things are all that matters....to just be happy at the moment.

Daisy: ???

Daisy crawls out of his hoodie, nuzzling against his hand.

Jed:......'Hinami...Why does she remind me of my daughter? Why does Ryuoko remind me it Eden?'

Jed: 'I should be looking for answers.'
