Chapter 2 Azure Plant

No one's POV

The scorpion monster had appeared right after Sora and Hajime had freed Yue from her prison. It had charged towards Sora and Hajime with Yue on Hajime's back. Hajime went and fired multiple shots, but it made no dent to its skin. Sora then came rushing in with Murasame to slice its skin, but it made no dent as well.

Sora: I can't even cut off it skin. Its totally different from the rest of them.

Hajime: Well bring in on! If you're going to get in our way, we'll kill and eat you!

Hajime once again fired multiple shots towards the scorpion monsters, and Sora fired multiple Spirit Art magic towards the scorpion monsters. The monsters didn't yell screams of pain as it just spray poison acid and needles towards both Sora and Hajime as the two of them were blitzing around. With Sora and his [Wind Manipulation] Spirit Art and Hajime's Supersonic Steps.

Hajime: If only we could get through its thick shell..

Sora: What about heat? If I used [Fire Manipulation] Spirit Art that goes up to 3000 degree Celsius, it should be enough to burnt off its skin and made an opening for Murasame to kill it.

Suddenly, blue fire started surrounding Sora as he started charging up an attack. The scorpion saw this and charged towards Sora, but was blocked by Hajime and Yue looked at Sora surprised.

Yue(mind): He doesn't use magic symbols nor chant a words of incantation... He directly controls magic like me...

Sora: I'll finish it off with this...

With that, Hajime jumped off the way as Sora fired his Magic.

Sora: Take this!

Just as the spell is about to hit its maximum limit, the scorpion fired multiple needle and poison acid towards the blast that cancels out Sora's magic shocking him, Hajime and Yue all together.

Sora: You've gotta be shitting me!

Yue: Sora! Hajime!

Hajime: Don't worry about it. This is nothing!

Sora: If anything, that thing has a strong defense... I don't see any ways to capture it..

Hajime put Yue's worried face out of his mind for the moment and both of them concentrated on finding a way to defeat it. But they became distracted when they heard Yue's murmured words.

Yue:...Why?

Hajime: Huh?

Yue: Why don't either of you run?

Yue's words implied that Hajime and Sora should already have realized they could leave her and escape by themselves. Both Sora and Hajime looked at her, evidently dumbfounded.

Sora: Don't be ridiculous. We haven't fallen so low that we'd leave you behind to die just 'cause the enemy we ran into's a little stronger than usual.

In order to survive, Hajime and Sora would use anything at their disposal, whether it was ambushes, tricks, traps, lies, bluffs, and all sorts of other cowardly tactics. Yue saw in their expression the words they didn't say and nodded in understanding before suddenly hugging Hajime.

Hajime: H-Huh? What's up?

Hajime stuttered, confused. Considering the circumstances, her actions seemed oddly timed. The effects of the flash grenade would wear off any minute. Plus, Hajime's wounds had finished healing. He needed to return to the fray as soon as possible. Yet in spite of all that, Yue wrapped a hand around his neck.

Yue: Hajime... trust in me.

As she said that, Yue kissed the nape of his neck.

Hajime: Wha—!?

No, not kissed. Bit. Hajime felt a tiny pinprick of pain. Following that, it felt as if the energy was being sucked out of his body. He was about to shake her off, when he remembered Yue had said she was a vampire, and realized she must have been sucking his blood. When she had said "trust in me" she meant she wanted him to put aside his initial fear and revulsion at having his blood sucked.

Sora: Whatever you two are doing, you better do it fast.

Sora continue to buy time as it was keeping the scorpion busy. He transmuted the ground. The ground stopped warping in a three meter radius around him, and instead rose up to form walls that protected Hajime and Yue.

Sora: An aerial mobile attack is my specialty. Don't think for a moment you can get close to them!

Sora continue blitzing around, trying to break through its skins with his Murasame to kill it, while keeping the monster's attacks at bay until Yue finally removed her fangs from Hajime's neck. Her face was flushed as she licked the last few drops of blood off her lips. Despite how young she appeared, the gesture, combined with her flushed face, looked rather seductive. In the span of a few moments, her emaciated body had become healthy, and her porcelain-white skin glowed with new vitality. Her cheeks, once gaunt, were now a rosy pink. A warm, gentle light dwelled within her crimson eyes, and she caressed Hajime's cheek with a slender hand.

Yue: ...Thanks for the meal.

Suddenly, Yue got to her feet and brandished a hand at the scorpion thing. As she did so, a tremendous amount of mana, golden in color, poured out of her tiny body, chasing away the darkness. Then, clad in a wondrous golden light, with her golden hair fluttering around her, she muttered a single phrase.

Yue: Azure Blaze.

A massive blue-white fireball, at least six or seven meters in diameter, appeared directly above the scorpion's head. Though it didn't score a direct hit, the fireball must have still caused quite a bit of damage, as the beast backed away, screeching in pain.

Sora: Its even more powerful than my Spirit Art.

However, the vampire princess of the abyss did not allow it to escape. She stuck an elegant finger out, waving it around like a conductor's baton. The fireball then followed her finger faithfully, chasing after the fleeing scorpion... and slammed into it.

Monster: Gagyaaaaaa!?

It screeched in pain, letting out a noise neither Hajime nor Sora had not heard before. It was clearly suffering. As the fireball smashed into its target, the entire room was filled with a blinding white light, temporarily robbing everyone of their sight.

Eventually the magic wore off and the pale blue fireball vanished. Once the flames disappeared, Hajime and Sora could see the scorpion writhing around in pain, its shell pulsing an angry red, and noted that parts of it had fused together from the heat. Sora heard a soft thump and tore his eyes away from the wondrous spectacle to look back at Yue. She was slumped on the ground, breathing heavily. It seemed she had used up all her mana.

Hajime: Yue, you alright?

Yue: Mm... Just very... tired...

Sora: Its not dead yet, but you give me a huge opening to kill it.

Yue: Yes, good luck.

Sora used [Wind Manipulation] Spirit Art to close the distance between him and the scorpion in one bound. It was still in surprisingly good shape. Though it was howling in pain and rage at having its shell fused together, and when it saw Sora approach it instantly fired its needle buckshot. But Sora blocked it with his sword and rushes in and cut the skin of its flesh.

Sora: Your done!

Murasame curse started spreading towards the scorpions entire body, and a moment later, it dropped towards the ground dead. The two slowly walked up to the unmoving scorpion. Just to make sure it was dead, Hajime fired three bullets into his mouth before nodding in satisfaction. It had become his policy in recent times to make sure he thoroughly finished any foe off.

Sora: Its dead...

After confirming its dead, the two walk slowly back to Yue. Several days after Sora and Hajime fell into this hell. A door appeared suddenly. Like a Pandora Box inside was Disaster and Hope.

(Timeskip)

Hajime, Sora, and Yue harvested the flesh from the defeated scorpion and cyclopes, then carried it all back to their base. Transporting such a huge quantity of meat was no easy feat, but after giving Yue more of Hajime's blood to restore her energy, Hajime was able to enlist her help. With their combined strength, enhanced by her body-empowering magic, they were able to transport the vast quantities of meat to his hideout.

Originally, Sora had suggested using the room Yue had been sealed in as a new base, but she had rejected the proposal.

He supposed it was understandable. She was probably sick of staring at the walls of what had been her prison for centuries. Even if they were going to be stuck on this floor until Hajime replenished his stock of supplies, it was better for her mental health to have Yue out of that room. Thus, they were both spending the time talking and getting to know each other better while they scavenged for supplies.

Hajime: If I remember correctly, the Vampires were eradicated in a war that took place 300 years ago.

Yue: 300 years ago...

Sora: So that means you have to be at least 300 years old, right Yue?

Yue: Such a rude thing to say to a Lady.

She glared angrily at Sora. It seemed even in parallel worlds asking a girl about her age was taboo.

From what they recalled, the vampires had been destroyed in a massive war that had enveloped the land 300 years ago. Chances were Yue had lost track of time, trapped in the silent darkness as she had been, but it stood to reason that she must have been at least that old. If she'd been sealed at the age of twenty or so, then she was most likely far older than even 300.

Hajime: Do all vampires live as long as you?

Yue:...No, I'm an exception. I don't age because of my regenerative powers. When I was 12, I awoken to my power from Atavism. I was like this since then. By 17, I was the Queen of the Vampires. One day when I was 24, my uncle suddenly became the King. And I was to be executed as a monster. But thanks to my regeneration power, they couldn't kill me. So in the end, I was to be sealed up, and when I woke up, I was in this room...

Hajime: I see, so that's why you were in this kind of place.

Sora: That, and we could have left you unattended during the fight against the monsters? I didn't have the necessary magic power for regeneration at that time. If I had, I could have repeatedly regenerate unless completely destroyed.

Hajime: What's that?

Yue: And I also have compatibly with all types of magic and can use them with an incantation.

Sora: 💢 Is that a snarky remarks against our inability with all magic type?

Hajime: Anyway... onto the most important question. Yue, do you have any idea where we are? Or any idea how to get back to the surface?

Yue: Unfortunately, I don't. However...

It seemed Yue was unsure of their exact location too. Though her tone was apologetic, the way she trailed off implied that she knew something at least.

Yue: According to legend, this labyrinth was built by one of the Mavericks.

Sora: The Mavericks?

On top of being an unfamiliar word, it had a rather ominous ring to it. Both Sora and Hajime stopped their transmutation work and turned to face Yue. She tore her gaze away from their work as well and met their eyes before nodding sharply and continuing.

Yue: They were rebels that tried to bring about the end of the world.

Hajime: There were people who went against the Gods?

Yue: They say the Mavericks tried to destroy the world, but their plans fell apart and they escaped into what are their Labyrinths. And the place they fled to are called the 8 great Labyrinth. And it is said that The Mavericks lives in the deepest part...It's possible there might be a path to the surface there, in the deepest part of the labyrinth...

Sora: I see. I can't imagine there being some huge, thousand story long staircase at the bottom.

Hajime: But if this whole thing was made by someone from the Age of the Gods, then there's probably a teleportation circle or something.

Hajime smiled at this new possibility. He returned his gaze to the work at hand. Yue followed suit. Her eyes were glued to Hajime's hands.

Hajime:...Is it really that interesting to watch us work?

She nodded silently. Hajime thought she looked extremely cute just then, sitting there hugging her knees with her fingers barely poking out of the sleeve of his baggy overcoat. He was overcome by a burning desire to hug her.

Hajime(mind): Man, I can't believe a cute little girl like her is really 300 years old. Parallel worlds really are something. They even have eternal lolis.

Even transformed, Hajime never forgot any of his otaku knowledge. As if reading his thoughts, Yue suddenly looked up.

Yue: You just thought something really rude, didn't you, Hajime?

Hajime: What do you mean?

He played dumb, internally sweating at how perceptive her woman's intuition was. But Sora told Yue what Hajime was really thinking.

Sora: Just now, he thought of you as an eternal lolis that is 300 years old.

Yue looked at Hajime even more annoyed while Hajime looked at Sora shocked.

Yue: Hajime, you pervert!

Hajime: How do you know what I'm thinking?!

Sora: Did you forget I can read mind? I've literally been telepathic with you ever since we reunited.

Hajime: You asshole!

Both Sora and Hajime started arguing with one another until Yue broke the silence.

Yue: Why are you both here?

Hajime: Huh?

Yue: Why can you both manipulate mana directly? How can you both eat monsters? Are either of you human? What happened to Hajime's arm?

Yue then looked at Sora.

Yue: And you. How can you use Magic instantly with no incantation at all? You are emitting Magic essence, but it felt different compare to mine.

Hajime: It's not all that interesting, but do you wanna hear it?

Yue: Yes!

Both Sora and Hajime told Yue what happened to them and once ever were finished, Yue was in tears. Starting from the summoning, they retold the tale of how they wound up there. They told Yue about how they had been selected as heroes, and how they had been a worthless Synergist with no useful skills, to the labyrinth excursion and their fight with the Behemoth, to their betrayal at the hands of one of their classmates, their descent into hell, how Hajime lost his arm to the Claw Bear, how Sora was trapped under a huge boulder and getting his Magic Essence to freed himself. They talked at length about everything they could remember. And, as their tale wound down, they could hear her sniffling.

Hajime: What's wrong?

Hajime asked, the concern evident in his voice. When they glanced back at Yue they saw tears spilling from her eyes. Surprised, Hajime hurriedly wiped the tears from her face.

Sora: What happened? What's wrong?

Yue: Hajime... Sora... you both suffered so much... just like me...

Hajime: Don't worry about it. All that stuff's in the past now. There's no point in getting hung up over it.

Sora: We don't even really care about our old classmates that much anymore, and we're not all that interested in getting revenge. All we care about now are polishing our skills, so we can make it out of here alive and find a way to return home.

Still sniffling, Yue closed her eyes and enjoyed the sensation of having her head patted, looking very much like a big cat. However, she suddenly jumped with a start when Sora mentioned returning home.

Yue: You're both going to go back?

Hajime: Hm? You mean to our own world? Of course we are. We miss it... A lot of things have changed now, but the two of us still wanna go home...

Yue: I see.

She looked down dejectedly, then quietly whispered:

Yue:...I don't have a home to go back to... anymore...

Sora and Hajime:......

Hajime took his hand off Yue's head and awkwardly scratched the back of his own. They were by no means a dense person, which was why they had already vaguely realized she had started treating Sora and Hajime as her new "home," so to speak. It was the same reason she had asked them to give her a name. She was worried she'd lose her home again if he returned to his original world.

Hajime(mind): Didn't you promise yourself you'd live only for the sake of your own wish? Just how soft can you get?

Hajime mentally berated himself, but he still extended his hand to pat Yue's head once more.

Sora(telepathy): Then why don't you told her how you really felt?

Hajime: Well, how about coming with us, then?

Yue: Huh?

Her eyes went wide with surprise as she processed his words. She gazed deeply at them with her crimson eyes, wet with tears. Unsettled by the intensity in her gaze, Hajime quickly began talking.

Hajime: I mean, well, back with me to my world. It's a boring place with nothing but humans, and someone with powers as amazing as yours might not find it to your liking, but... well, I guess at this point my abilities are just as crazy. Anyway, I have no idea if you'll even like it or not... and it's only if you want to come, but, well, what do you say?

She blinked at him in confusion for a few seconds.

Yue: Can I really come with you?

Hajime nodded his head, before turning her head towards Sora asking for confirmation.

Sora: Don't look at me like that. Believe on what you want to do. What is your reason for coming along? Why do you want to come along? It doesn't have to be grand or big reason. As long as you really want to, then its fine with me.

Yue looked at the two of them and then smiled.

Yue: Yes. I want to go with you both!

Yue then turned her attention, to the weapons that the two of them were making.

Yue: Hajime, Sora, I was wondering what you were making?

Hajime: This? You saw my weapon, right? This is a much stronger version, but it's not finished yet. I'm using ore from the scorpion monster.

Sora: As for me, I'm upgrading my twin sword into a gun-sword. I wanted to use my Spirit Art to the weapons, so I could save up some mana more.

Sora said while using the scorpion ore that they defeated, to turned Kanshou and Bakuya into a gun-sword. Yue looked at Sora surprised when he said the word Spirit Art.

Yue: Spirit Art?

Sora: Yes. The ability I used isn't Magic, but Spirit Art.

Yue: Don't tell me, Dragon King?

That made Sora and Hajime stopped what they were doing and look at Yue.

Sora: Dragon King? Whose that...?

Yue: Well, I don't know much, but what I do know, is that a Great War fell upon this land 1000 years ago, but the Dragon King with his transcendental power, known as Spirit Art was the one the stopped the Great War. But after that, he disappear.

Sora: Disappear? What happened to him after the war?

Yue: Not much known. But, it said that the Dragon King will once again returned.

Sora: Well, they found the wrong guy. I don't care what happened to this world. All I want is to go home.

Sora said while finishing up his transmuting and cooking the monster meat of the scorpion that they beat and tosses half of it to Hajime.

Hajime: Yue, you want some— Er, wait, you probably shouldn't eat this, should you? I really don't want to let you experience that kind of pain... Actually, since you're a vampire, can you eat monster meat just fine?

Eating monster meat had become a natural routine for Hajime by that point and he almost invited Yue to eat with him out of habit before correcting himself. He glanced over to her and saw she was fiddling with his new weapon. When she noticed his gaze she put it down for a moment and shook her head.

Yue: I don't need any food.

Sora: I guess that makes sense. You survived 300 years without it after all... Still, do you not get hungry at all?

Yue: I do... but I'm full for now.

Hajime: You are? You already ate something?

He tilted his head in confusion at Yue's declaration. She pointed at Hajime.

Yue:...Mhmm. Your blood, Hajime.

Hajime: Aah, I see. So does that mean as long as they've got blood, vampires don't need to eat?

Yue: We can absorb nutrients through food as well, but blood is more efficient.

Sora supposed it only stood to reason that a vampire would be fine with just blood. So Yue's full from the blood she sucked out of Hajime. As he nodded to himself in understanding, Yue licked her lips suggestively.

Hajime:...Why are you licking your lips?

Sora: And why are you staring at me like that?

Yue: Hajime's blood taste very mature. Like soup of vegetable and meat, slowly cooked.

Sora: That's oddly specific, so go drink his and leave me alone.

Yue: I want to taste yours!

He imagined it must have been akin to eating a first class meal after starving for weeks. But when she licked her lips like that, she looked eerily seductive, so Sora wished she would cut it out. It was times like those that he remembered she was far older than him. But her outward appearance was still that of a young girl, which made Hajime feel guilty for thinking dirty thoughts.

Yue:...Delicious blood.

Sora: Please, just give me a break.

His new partner was quite dangerous, in more ways than one. Yue bit Sora's neck as she drank his blood much to his displeasure.

(Timeskip)

After making their way down to lower floors, the three of them stumbled upon a floor that was an entire forest, not only that, but there were also dinosaurs as well, as the three of them were looking at one, as it was looking at them.

Sora, Hajime, Yue:...

The only difference was, for some reason, it had a beautiful flower adorning the top of its head. Its sharp fangs and overflowing bloodlust clearly marked a dangerous foe, but the sunflower resting atop its head made it seem more comical than deadly. This was quite possibly the most surreal monster Hajime had faced thus far.

Hajime: A forest inside a cave is one thing. But to think they were dinosaurs...

Sora: -_- And I believe they shouldn't have flowers on them though...

The Tyrannosaurus roared angrily and charged the two of them. Unfazed by its onslaught, Hajime and Sora calmly moved to draw their weapons... only to be stopped by Yue, who raised her hand.

Yue: Crimson Javelin.

A spear of whirling flames formed out of thin air, then shot straight through the mouth of the T. rex. The heat melted the T. rex's entire head, leaving him dead in seconds. The ground shook as the beast crumpled. The flower perched on the remains of its head came off with a plop.

Sora and Hajime:...

She'd been asserting her strength more and more aggressively recently. Originally she had just supported Hajime from behind, but as time passed she eventually just started preemptively one-shotting anything that intended to do him harm.

Yue: Hajime, Sora...Am I being helpful?

Hajime: Yeah...In fact, I'm starting to feel useless...

As the three of then continued through the forest, Yue continued instantly killing everything. She'd been asserting her strength more and more aggressively recently. Originally she had just supported Sora and Hajime from behind, but as time passed she eventually just started preemptively one-shotting anything that intended to do them harm.

Hajime: Hey, Yue...?

Yue: Yes?

Hajime: It's cool you're trying hard, but aren't you a bit enthusiastic?

Yue: I want to help. I'm your partners!

Hajime walked up and patted Yue on the head, as she smiled happily.

Hajime: You're helpful enough as it is. After all, your magic is strong.

Yue: Hm...Understood.

Yue then looked at Sora expecting him to praised her to which he only gave her a thumbs up before walking away, making her pout.

Yue:Hmph! I want to be praised...

Sora(mind): I feel so out of place here! Will those two read the mood already!

As the two of them were having their faux lovers' spat, Sora didn't neglect to continually use Sense Presence, and he suddenly realized there were enemies approaching them.

About ten of them were circling around to surround them. If they're coordinating their movements, does that mean they hunt in packs like the Twin-tailed Wolves? Sora thought warily to himself as he motioned to Hajime and Yue and began retreating. If they were outnumbered, it would be in his best interests to at least move to more advantageous ground.

As they began to close their encirclement, Hajime chose a point to break through and charged. They pushed their way through a dense copse of trees, and as they finally jumped clear, they found themselves face to face with a massive, two-meter-large, raptor-like monster. This one had a tulip blooming on its head.

Yue: It was so...Cute.

Sora:...Are those in fashion or something?

Yue blurted out those words before she could stop herself, and Sora found it hard to take the raptor in front of him seriously. As he stared at it, an impossible hypothesis came to mind.

Yue: Is it dead?

Hajime: Doesn't look like it to me?

As Hajime had so astutely observed, the raptor wasn't dead. It twitched for a few seconds before slowly standing up and examining its surroundings. When it noticed the tulip petals, it padded its way over and started crushing them underfoot, as if the tulip had done it some great harm.

Hajime: Huh, what on earth is it doing? Why's it crushing the petals?

Yue:...Maybe someone put it on its head as a prank?

Sora: -_- I'm pretty sure the monsters around here aren't some elementary school kids that go around sticking 'kick me' signs on everyone they see...

Once it had finished grinding the tulip into dust, it looked up contentedly at the sky and let out a high pitched screech. It then finally spotted Sora, Yue and Hajime, and jumped with a start.

Hajime: Looks like it just realized we were here. Just how absorbed was it with that tulip?

Yue:...Maybe it's being bullied?

As Hajime marveled at its inattention, Yue looked at it with something akin to sympathy. The raptor stood there for a moment, overcome by shock, before suddenly lowering its stance and bearing its claws. It let out a low roar as it rushed Sora.

He calmly pulled out Kanshou, and shot an electrically accelerated taur bullet right into the raptor's gaping maw. It made mincemeat out of the raptor's head, and bored its way through a few of the trees behind it before vanishing from sight.

Carried by the force of its own charge, the dead raptor slid a few feet across the ground before coming to a stop. Yue, Sora, and Hajime stared down at the raptor's corpse.

Hajime: Seriously, what was all that about?

Yue: First it was bullied, and then it got shot... Poor thing.

Sora: -_- Can we just drop the bullying part? I'm pretty sure that never happened.

Hajime: There's definitely something strange going on here. We just wiped out a huge group of them, didn't we? But they're still rushing us anyway... It's like they're being controlled. Don't tell me those flowers are...

Yue: Parasites?

Hajime: You think so too, Yue?

Yue nodded in agreement.

Sora:...It should have a main body somewhere.

Hajime: Yeah. If we can't get the bastard that stuck those flowers on everyone, we'll have to fight our way through every single monster on this floor.

The three of them had a pretty good idea where the mastermind of all the flower parasite that is effecting the other monster. They saw a small cave, and head on inside.

Hajime: How did you figure out it was here?

Sora: Their movements started to become more panicked when we were running towards this direction. As if they were trying to keep us away. Let's close this before they come after us. We'll go outside after we defeated what's inside.

As the three of them went inside the cave, it was pitch black, and they could barely see anything. Sora was using his [Extrasensory Perception] to sense any other being other than the three of them, until he sensed something or someone standing behind them as he quickly shout out.

Sora: Behind us!

Suddenly, multiple green spores started filling the room, as Yue yelled at them.

Yue: Hajime! Sora! Run!

Her hands were pointing at both Sora and Hajime. Gales of wind whipped dangerously around them. Their instincts screamed at them to run, so they leaped away as quickly as possible. Not even a second later, a blade of wind passed through the spot he'd just been standing on and neatly sliced through the wall behind them.

Hajime: Yue...?!

Both Sora and Hajime looked and saw Yue had a flower on her head, and was being controlled by a humanoid shaped plant monster.

Yue: Hajime...Sora....I'm sorry...

Yue then blasted them again, which Sora deflected.

Yue: My body...I can't control it...

Hajime: I see, so that's where the spores were. Now you've done it...

Sora: Thanks to our Organic Resistance skills, it doesn't work on us.

Yue: Hajime! Sora! Don't mind me... just shoot!

It seemed she'd resolved herself. If she was just going to get in his way and attack him, she'd rather just be shot at herself. There wasn't even the slightest hint of hesitation in her crimson eyes.

Normally this would be a scene where the main character said something like, "There's no way I can do that!" or, "I'll save you, no matter what it takes!" and strengthen their bonds with the heroine. And in fact, the old Hajime might have done just that. But Sora was such a much harder man.

Sora: Oh really? That makes things easier!

Sora aimed his Kanshou gun-sword and single gunshot resounded through at the room. Upon hearing Yue's words, Sora had fired without hesitation. Silence filled the room as the gunshot's echoes faded away. The red rose spun through the air before soundlessly falling to the ground. Yue blinked in surprise. The Alraune wannabe did too. Yue uncertainly patted the top of her head. The flower was gone, but the hair near it was frizzly and torn. Even the Alraune wannabe, wicked as it was, glared scornfully at Sora, but Hajime beat him to it.

Hajime: You of all people don't have the right to judge me!

Bang! Hajime fired angrily at the Alraune wannabe. Green goop splattered everywhere as it lost its head. Its limbs spasmed momentarily before the whole thing crumpled to the ground.

Hajime: Are you alright, Yue? You don't feel weird anywhere, do you?

Hajime casually walked up to Yue. However, Yue ignore Hajime and glared angrily at Sora while continuing to flatten down her hair.

Yue:...You really shot me.

Sora: Huh? I mean, yeah, you told me to.

Yue:...You didn't even hesitate...

Sora: Well yeah, I was planning on shooting from the start. I have confidence in my skills, but I figured you'd get mad if I just shot without warning. I was just being considerate by waiting for you to say something first.

Yue:...You grazed... my head...

Sora: It'll heal up right away though, won't it? So there shouldn't be any problem.

Yue: Ughhh...

Her expression screamed "So what!" as she beat on his chest with her fists. Hajime just sigh at the scene while Sora just looked at her as if she was nothing but a 5 year old girl.

Sora(mind): -_- What are you? A five year old?
