Scar's Perspective-

"Hey dad?" Scar asked as his family sat down for dinner.

His father hummed.

"Er- what would you do if I told you I'm in a relationship?"

His father looked up, shocked.

"Who is it dear?" His mother asked.

"Er..." Scar suddenly felt stupid for bringing it up.

I'll probably get in trouble.

"Scar?"

"Uh- it's uh- it's Grian." He mumbled.

His father started coughing on his drink.

"Grian? The Watcher's son?"

Scar nodded.

His father looked horrified.

"I'm sorry." Scar whispered.

"No, sweetie, it's fine." His mother said, smiling at him, "I think it's wonderful."

"But the Watchers! If they find out, then we'd get killed!" Scar's father shouted.

"But Scar's in love. Don't you want to support him?"

"I do, but I also want to live!"

His father sighed, "The Watchers probably already know. Great, now we're dead."

Scar felt embarrassed as he tried to shrink in his seat.

His mother rubbed his back.

Scar looked up at her and she smiled, "It's perfectly fine, sweetie."

"We're planning on keeping it a secret from them." Scar said.

"That's the thing, you can't keep a secret from them." Scar's father said.

"But- "

"I'm sorry Scar, but you'll have to break up with him before it's too late."

Scar felt his heart break.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"No, I don't think Scar should end his relationship." Scar's mother said, fury on her face.

"But honey, we'll get- "

"So what? Scar needs to be happy. Remember when I was pregnant with Scar? Remember how we vowed we would do everything we could to make Scar happy, even if that means risking our lives?"

Scar's father looked embarrassed as he nodded.

"Then we're going to do just that." Scar's mother said sternly, "We will support him and let him be in this relationship as it makes him happy."

"We will stand with him, even if our lives are on the line, we will do what we can to make him happy."

Scar sat there, shocked at what had happened.

His father looked at Scar and asked,
"You really do love him?"

Scar nodded.

His father smiled softly, "Alright then, I'll be there with you."
