Chapter 17: DisneyWorld

"I'm so proud of you," Mariana murmured as she began drawing circles along Micah's chest. They were staring up at the ceiling fan while lying in bed together.

"So..." she said, "are you excited for the opening day after we come back?"

"Of course, especially since I'll be able to do it with you." He held her hand and kissed it.

Mariana smiled as his beard tickled her forehead, but then something clicked in her head. "Oh yeah, I got something for you." She reached over him while pressing thee sheets against her chest and got a bag from under the bed.

"It's nothing much but I think it will give you a good start." She shrugged and was slightly nervous whether what she brought was good enough.

Micah sat up and then a box dropped out into his hand. It was three packets that contained a set of 50 pieces each of gold eating utensils.

"Thank you, my sweet love, it's exactly what I need." He put it to the side and kissed her face sweetly while cupping her cheeks. It was one of the best things he could receive from her.

"No problem my baby, you deserve the best," she said, and then her head flopped down the pillow. "But I'm tired now, so let's go to sleep."

"Alright, but I just want to do one more thing quickly first."

"What's that?" She mumbled into the fabric with one eye open.

He then got out and hoisted her up. Mariana was slightly caught off guard as she clutched the sheets to her chest.

"Micah, what are you—" But she was silenced when he quickly whisked her off her feet. They slowly waltzed across their bedroom with Dream Girl playing in the background like the sounds of a piano.

Mariana then pulled him away a bit, but then she slowly brought him in again and slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. She breathed in his lovely scent as his hands stroked through her curls. He nuzzled the crook of her neck while his other hand traveled down her back, caressing her gently.

They stuck to each other as their feet lightly went around the whole room. Mariana's body swayed slightly in rhythm as she was in his lovely embrace.

At the sight of the purple skyline skiing over the horizon, Mariana and Micah were with their friends at the LAX Airport. Elisa and Axel were fast asleep in their strollers, and the older kids were freely playing about while they waited.

Their flight was in a few minutes, but someone's phone went off in their pockets. They all checked and it ended up being Mona's. She read it and then ended up getting up from her seat. "I just realized I forgot to tell my nanny she doesn't need to come today, so I'm just calling her now."

"Oh sure go ahead," Mariana and Leilani said without looking up. She then brushed a strand behind her ear and went pacing around the area.

"I'm so tired this morning because I was up around midnight trying to get Elisa and Axel to sleep." Mariana rubbed her eyes and shook her head tiredly.

"They went to bed at...twelve?"

"I know it sounds bad but hear me out." Mariana put her hands out in defense. "So you know how toddlers are supposed to get around twelve hours of sleep."

"Yeah..."

"So if they go to bed at midnight, then today they will be asleep for most of the flight and will wake up when it's nearly done." Mariana placed her arms out with a smile of resolution, like she had mapped out everything perfectly.

"Ah okay, I get it now." Leilani nodded her head. "That makes sense and is a very good idea."

Mariana smiled, and Mona came up and stuffed her phone away.

"Alright, let's get going," Micah said and they boarded their flight. They sat on the left, and Mariana placed Elisa down next to the window and covered her with a blanket, while Micah had Axel on his lap.

"Are you ready Mariana?" Micah asked.

"Yeah, just a little nervous." Mariana's body stiffened as she tried smiling.

"Oh, what's wrong?"

"I don't know, it's just that every time we are on a plane, it just reminds me of when we were running from Xavier." She smiled nervously and then kept checking behind her. Her mouth and arms trembled and her body temperature rose.

"Mariana, it's okay. He's no more alive so he can't get you." He took her hand and circled the middle as that always calmed her down.

"Yeah I know," Mariana said and took his arm. She squeezed it tightly like he was her protector and teddy bear. "Do you remember our first vacation as a family?"

"I think so when we went to Havana last year."

"Yeah, when Elisa was one and Axel was a few months old."

"It reminded me where we went for our first wedding anniversary," Mariana sighed in bliss and caressed down his arm.

"Yeah, it was when you were pregnant with Elisa but didn't know it yet." He cupped her face and then pulled her body towards him.

"That's when our beautiful family started," Mariana murmured and breathed into his chest.

"And now we got one more," Micah said, bouncing sleeping Axel up a bit. He sucked on his pacifier and spread it out across his lap.

Mariana smiled and leaned over to kiss Axel's forehead. She then sat up and tried to relax, but her heart couldn't stop its rapid beating. She clutched the handles to stop herself from shaking, as tears came down from the thought of being chased and caught again.

"Sometimes I wonder, where we would be if we never reconciled..." she mumbled to herself.

"Hm I've never thought of that before, but I don't think it will be very good."

"Yeah true," she said and then rubbed Elisa's cheek. "But I'm glad we did because I don't think I'll ever love someone else as much as love you," she said with the most sincere smile and rubbed his leg.

"Same, I would probably have never stopped loving you..." he said and then nuzzled into her neck, kissing her a little which made her giggle and pull away because she felt ticklish.

"You know, sometimes I still can't believe we have all this," Mariana said while fiddling with her fingers. "Sometimes, I still feel like this is a dream..." She then started pinching the skin of her wrist. She squeezed it hard as the pain coursed tingled her senses.

She started shaking as some tears trickled out, letting her know it was all real.

I wish you were here Mom and Dad, to see how well I'm doing.

When they arrived in Orlando, they got their bags and took a taxi to the Art of Animation resort where they would be staying. They went to the Little Mermaid Hotel which was a couple of stories high, with fish pictures across the balcony, and a huge statue of Ariel and Flounder in the center, sitting on a rock.

"There's Ariel!" Elisa and Rina screamed and started jumping.

"How about you all go stand there so I can take a picture?" Mariana suggested.

They all ran and stood in front while smiling brightly with the cutest smiles. Mariana took several pictures and then they went inside to their hotel rooms and got settled down.

When Elisa got dressed into her mermaid costume, and Axel into Peter Pan, they met up with the others. They took a cable car to Disney's Hollywood Studios and walked on the path. Miguel had Mateo on his shoulders and was looking at the map for the first ride.

"So how about we go to Alien swirling saucers first?" He suggested.

"Where's that?" Leilani asked and looked over his shoulder.

"Just here." He showed her how far they have to walk.

"Alright, that looks like a good first ride."

They went to the Alien Swirling Saucers tides which had a giant buzz light year statue outside, giving all the kids a wide grin.

They all climbed into their spaceships and there was a little green alien attached to the car with a steering wheel.

"Are you excited?" Micah asked them.

"Yeah! What about you guys?" Mariana nudged her kiddies that sat in the middle of them.

"Yeah," Elisa replied and sat comfortably. She kept touching her bun and kicked her legs out. The ride soon started, and they all hung on as it twirled around the middle. Elisa and Axel's hands flew in the air as they cheered excitedly. Some other younger children joined in as their ships crossed past each other, with music mixing with their delightful giggles.

When it was finished, they got off, and the kids were a bit wobbly on their feet.

"That ride was cute," Leilani said, "I always loved those little green aliens in toy story."

"Me too. I like the scene with the pizza truck, and they almost get blown away," Mona said.

"I wonder if there's any gift shop so we can maybe buy some plushies," Mariana said, looking around while shading her eyes.

"I think we passed one on the way here," Micah said, fiddling with his beard.

"Okay, we can just go to that one if we find it again!" Mariana exclaimed with a bubbly smile.

Next, they went to Toy Story Mania. They went inside with lots of chattering going on them, but Mr. Potato's one stood out as he was talking near the front.

Mariana and Micah held their children's hands and swung them together as they babbled to one another. Even though some people were staring, Mariana couldn't stop smiling as they seemed like a perfect, little family.

They all got into separate carts, Mariana stood with Elisa as they had shooters in front of them and 3D glasses.

"Are you excited my little chick?" Mariana asked.

"Yes, Mommy!"

"That's good, I'm excited too. I wonder how many things we are going to hit," she said as their cart suddenly went backward a little like a train. Elisa shook the shooter vigorously until they ended up in their first game called Woody's Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gallery.

"Mommy it's Woody and Rex!" Elisa screeched as they appeared with two targets. The shooter bounced in her hands. She almost slipped, but Mariana caught her.

"Careful my baby love, I don't want you to get hurt," Mariana said softly.

Elisa smiled and then stood up properly. They then pulled the strings on their shooters and fired Frisbees at Woody and Rex. The targets suddenly moved around, making it slightly more difficult.

"Are you getting it, Elisa?" Mariana asked as her eyes were stuck to the game.

"Um, it a bit hard." Elisa pouted.

"Aw, here its like this." Mariana showed her with her own. She fired like they were missiles and some of them went splat! But some dropped. Elisa tried copying her but sometimes her fingers slipped, but she enjoyed it anyway.

She and Mariana began moving around while yanking the string out and hitting the targets became easier. Elisa kept laughing as her little body bounced and Mariana felt an increasing sense of joy. It was like she was jumping on a trampoline, letting all her worries go for a period of fun and freedom. And was even more special it was with someone she could call her own.

They went through some other shooting ranges until the ride was done and they got out with the others.

"Let's see our high score!" Mariana said and rushed to the screen. Their names all appeared, and Leilani and Rina scored the highest.

"Well done," Mona said and stroked her daughter's golden hair affectionately.

"Thanks, Mommy," she squeaked and high-fived Leilani.

"That game was kinda hard." Raidan pouted as he leaned on Mona's side. His blue glasses got squashed on the bridge of his nose.

"Yeah and also lots of fun!" Elisa butted in.

"I agree, but now I wanna rest in the next ride," Mateo said.

"Okay, I think that's the best idea for the next ride," Leilani said, "Something nice and peaceful."

They then had an idea and went to Epot for the Frozen Ever After ride. The entrance of it was like a castle and lined curled around the banner. They went through the large crowd and got into a boat. Mariana leaned on Micah's shoulder as she held onto their two kids.

"This looks like it's going to be amazing," Mariana whispered to their group and held onto Micah.

"I hope so, my family loves Frozen so I was hoping we got a chance to go on this," Mona said.

"I would say mine is beauty and the beast, because of the song, 'a tale as old as time' because of how romantic and beautiful it is."

"I really love that song." She sighed wistfully and tucked in her knees. She rocked gently as their boat slowly sailed onto the cool streams. "My dad and I used to listen to it every evening on Sunday, but my last memory of it wasn't exactly a happy one. I still love it, though."

"Aw, that sounds wonderful," Mariana said as a blue hue glowing softly against their faces. They heard the gentle waters ripple against the wood, as they descended into a cave with leaves that hung down like a willow tree with tiny sparkles.

It lifted up and revealed Olaf and Sven the reindeer stood in a meadow that had a blanket of snow. All the children screamed and when Olaf walked down and sang, 'Do you want to build a snowman?'

They all sang along as the boat simmered past the trolls and into a dark tunnel. A trail of snowflakes danced on the wall towards Elsa who sang 'let it go."

Her voice burst through the speakers, like the springs of water that sprang up like graceful movements of dolphins. They stained the glass, leaving a dreamy remnant of imagination into those who were present.

Their boat suddenly sailed them backward, the song rippling them back like waves as fog flooded over them. The wind howled and blew like a storm. But the best part came when they rushed down the streams and out came a Disney castle, sculptured out of ice like a carefully crafted diamond.

Mariana gasped as she clutched her kids and pressed them tightly against her.

"This is awesome!" She started clapping and bounced them at the sight. The excitement like a toddler ran through her like electricity. She couldn't remember the last time she felt childish joy like this.

When it was over, they walked through the busy venue, careful not to anyone within the crowd as they got some fries and drinks. Mariana happily stuffed them in her mouth as she was enjoying this joyous day. The sun was still high, and everything felt so perfect.

"Do you think we should go on one more ride or rest?" Miguel asked.

"I think we could fit one more in," Micah replied.

"What do you guys think?" Mariana asked the little kiddies.

"I want to see Cinderella!" Elisa begged.

"Yeah and Donald Duck," Raidan said.

The rest agreed that they want to see their favorite characters so they decided they will take pictures around the park.

Mariana walked and had Axel back in the stroller but allowed Elisa to walk with Rina.

"Mama, walk Elisa?" Axel asked.

"You want to walk with your big sister? Okay, I'm sure she won't mind, but make sure it's okay with her first." Mariana let him out and then he ran after his sister with his little feet. He had his chubby hands out and grabbed Elisa's hand.

"Aw, such cute little munchkins," Mariana said as her eyes watered up. She loved the fact that all their kids were walking together enjoying themselves.

Finally, they were at Magic Kingdom, and there were some Disney princesses such as Snow White, Belle, and Cinderella. They stood outside, waving at all the passers-by, as they were in the center of rose bushes that flourished and blossomed like kisses.

"Mama, It's princesses!" Elisa screamed and tried running off with Rina. Mariana kept a tight hold on her but Elisa tried prying her hand away.

"Hey calm down, you'll soon get to see them."

"I wanna go see Goofy like Elisa wants to see the princess," Mateo said.

"I want to see Pluto," Raidan said and got a small figurine of him with a lease. "I got this of him. He's my little pet." He started dangling it like it was a yo-yo.

"He chased me with that and his toy spider," Rina grumbled.

"Me and daddy did that. We put a fake spider in Mommy's bed and scared her." Mateo started laughing.

"I hated that prank," Leilani muttered, letting out a low scowl, and crossed her arms.

"It was pretty funny." Miguel chuckled. "It was a fake tarantula we used. It was a remote one too, so we just chased her out of the room with it." He explained to everyone.

"I said it's not funny."

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry my cherry blossom." He squeezed her cheek and kissed it gently.

"Thanks." She smiled and grabbed his hand. Together, they all went, and then the kiddies got to have their pictures taken with their favorite characters. Belle picked up Elisa who was quite shy but they made a cute pair. And the boys took a picture with Mickey, Goofy, and Donald as they waved at the camera.

Their smiles were as wide as a rainbow and even so when they took a group photo together with the help of a stranger. They stood in front of Cinderella's castle, with the clouds flurrying above like balloons and golden outlines scaling the gates like sunlight.

For Mariana, it felt like the perfect place and there were was no other she would rather be than right now.

Afterward, they went on the Dumbo The Flying Elephant ride. Mariana went on one elephant with Axel and then held him tight as the ride was about to begin.

"Mama, I feel scared." Axel shuffled close to her.

"It's okay my baby prince, I'm here." She got his tiny hand and then kissed it as the ride started. The elephants gently rocked and slowly lifted. Axel started shaking and clutching Mariana tightly.

"It's okay my baby, Mommy's here." Mariana cuddled him as the ride went around. The wind slightly blew, and the sound of steam cut through the air. She cupped his face and then tickled it to ease his tears.

"Look, there's Daddy with Elisa." Mariana pointed to the other side of the ride where Micah and Elisa were waving at them. Axel grinned shyly and waved back. Mariana sat back with him and enjoyed the scenery.

There were lanes of trees in the background of the circus theme park. Music hollered in their ears as the small fountains spurted out water below. Mariana smelt the fresh air and her skin licked up the heat of the sun.

"I never thought I would be able to experience this place..." She muttered in disbelief. She didn't want to pinch herself again because it was unnecessary. She was around all the Disney characters who she grew to watch and love. And got to share the same thing with the love of her life, and her children made her life as perfect as it is.

A/N: Hey I hope you enjoyed the chapter! I'm sorry this was so long heh, but I hope it was worth it :)
