Chapter 2

All day yesterday I couldn't help, but complain about all my classes. Whether it be the teachers, or the students. The only plus side to school was that I wasn't bored all day in the sense of not having anything to do. School bores me, but not for that same reason. Time to begin my second day. Hopefully it'll be better than yesterday. Nick and I go to stand by the door to wait to go to our first class. As we started to head over there Nick gets stopped by someone who he obviously knows, and they talk for a minute or two. I'm not sure what about because I wasn't exactly listening. Oh well. The bell rings and I go to my first hour, and take a seat. Today Mrs. Beaker began to go over lab safety.

"Thursday you guys will have a test on lab safety. You must get a 100 in order to be able to go into the lab." Mrs. Beaker explains. Everyone lets out a roar of groans.

"With that said, you can take it more than once. As many times as it takes to get a 100. However, once we go to the lab if you haven't passed it yet, then you will not be participating." She continued.

This shouldn't be too hard. Last year I only had to take it one other time and that was because I only missed one. Mrs. Beaker then continued on about how we have a test on the lab equipment that we had also been going over, and said that whatever grade we get is the one that we get. Hopefully I don't fail miserably on that one. I look over at the clock and see that we still have ten minutes left. Sometimes I really hate mornings in class because the classes seem to go by so much slower. I groan to myself quietly and text some of my friends back home and see how they're doing. *bell rings*

'Finally' I say thinking to myself. Off to psychology with Izzy and Brenna. It took me about two minutes to get to class, and I had three left to do whatever before class started. I decided to check my phone again. I'm a stereotypical teenager.... Attached to my phone. Guilty. Good I have two snaps. One from Ally and one from Kelsey. I'm glad to see that they're both doing well so far this year. It kinda sucks not spending my high school years with them, but we make the best of it. The late bell then rings, and class starts.
"Okay class, I'm going to pass around a sheet of paper for your seating chart."
*Class groans*
"Don't worry it's only temporary until I learn your names."  Mr. Glen continued.
I don't think anyone was really upset about their spots though since he didn't move ant of us, and we were also already with our friends. After we all finished writing our names we started learning about Top-down and Bottom-up processing. It's kind of confusing to be honest because the definitions are almost the same thing. Mr. Glen finished with fifteen minutes left to spare, so I take out my iPad and watch some Netflix. Best way to waste time. I got so into what I was watching that I almost missed hearing the bell ring.

I check my schedule to make sure that I was heading to first aid next, and sure enough I was. I walk in and sit in the seat that I did Friday. Still think it was stupid to have the first day on a Friday, but whatever. I take the notebook for this class and my pencil, then put the rest of my supplies on the arm of the desk in front of me. I hear people getting a little excited, and look around to see what's going on. There's another kid coming in this class. He probably got a schedule change. Wait I recognize this dude's face. Oh yeah, it was the guy that Nick was talking with earlier. His friends then motioned for him to go sit by them, and it happened to be diagonally behind me. The bell rings, and Mr. McKinnon walks in following with a light door slam.
"Mr. McKinnon, I just wanted to let you know that I just got switched into this class." The new kid in the class says.
"Please call me Coach McKinnon. Mr. McKinnon is my dad." He says with a smile.
Coach McKinnon is one of the younger teachers.
"There's some books in the back, go get one once you finish your journal." Mr. McKinnon says.
I finish my journal and grab a book, then sit back down. While I'm waiting for us to start our book work/notes for the day, I doodle some horrible drawings in one of my other notebooks. *Thud* I look over and see my books in the floor, and then I look up and see who did it. It was the new kid to the class. I think I heard his friends calling him Jake.
"Sorry" He said with a soft smile before picking them up.
"It's okay." I say smiling gently back.
We spent thirty minutes taking notes and discussing what we were learning and what you'd do in certain scenarios. The last twenty minutes we spent doing nothing. Jake and his friend decided to stand up and walk around a little bit. Which Coach McKinnon didn't care if they did, but I noticed something.... I kept finding myself looking over at them. What's happening?

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while, but I thought I'd leave this chapter on somewhat of a cliff hanger. Hope you all enjoy😉
