We were starring into each other's eyes. Hers were so beautiful. They were the perfect shade of sapphire blue. They were truly amazing. She was truly amazing.
I don't understand why she would think that she is anything less than perfection. Maybe it was because of that stupid bully.
It took everything in me to not just wrap Max in my arms. I didn't really want to kiss her or anything. I just wanted to wrap her up in my arms. To keep her safe and warm.
To my amusement though Max reached her self up, and kissed me right on my lips. OH MY CHEESE CAKES!
"What was that for?" I asked after she rested her head back on my shoulder.
"Are you complaining?" Max asked jokingly.
"No, no, no, not at all. I was just wondering why you did that."
"Because I like you that's why."
"Well why do you like me?"
"Why do you like me?"
"Well, you're absolutely without a doubt the most amazing person I've ever had the privilege of meeting in all of my carnations. To sum it down,"
"Well there's your answer."
That made me feel so loved. No one has ever said that to me. My entire life has been pretty close to a fairy tale, yet never once has anyone ever showed me that they care about me as much as Max has. She did this in a matter of hours and people who have been there my entire life haven't done that. This girl really is amazing.
Max stood up and walked to the tent. I anxiously waited for her return. When she crawled back out of the tent, she laid out the blanket that she had. She sat down on it then beckoned me to her with her finger.
I quickly stumbled up to go to her. When I reached the blanket I fell. Max laughed at me then laid down on her back with me.
We spent the rest of the night staring at the stars. We took turns pointing out constellations and telling the stories that went with them. At one point Max fell asleep. She rolled over and took up the entire blanket. I wrapped her in the blanket then carried her into the tent to lay her on the sleeping bag.
She was beautiful when she slept too. She looked so peaceful, like nothing could ever bring her down.
I climbed into the sleeping bag that I brought, and went to sleep.
