Chapter 1
January 11, 2022
Dade County Department of Corrections
"Anoa'i!!!" The corrections officer yelled, tapping on the cell bars. "On your feet. You got a lawyer visit."
Joe sat up and stretched, looking around at his 6 by 9 jail cell, still wondering how he got there. Then he remembered, he killed the bitch and that piece of shit friend of hers for trying to play him for a fool, she had him all the way fucked up. She made him fall in love with her all over again, embezzled his money, cheated on him with another man, and then lied to him about being pregnant with his baby. How could she treat him like that, he wondered to himself. Joe knew he could be a little extreme, but that didn't mean he didn't love her. As a matter of fact, he loved her a little too much. He did everything in his power to make her happy, he protected her with his life.....
"Come on Anoa'i! I ain't got all day!" The correctional officer said, clearly irritated.
"Aight, I'm comin'...damn!" Joe replied, as he tied his long raven hair into a man bun.
"You know the routine, wrists out the chuck hole so I can put your jewelry on." The correctional officer said, referring to the handcuffs that were to go on Joe's wrists.
As Joe was handcuffed, the officer unlocked his cell and he stepped out, clad in an orange jumpsuit. As he took the long walk following the officer to the visitor's room, many questions were running through his mind. Why couldn't he control his rage? Why did he let her push his buttons? Did he really have to snap and kill her?
When he thought about all the fucked up things she did to him, the answer was simple—hell yeah.
As Joe arrived to the visitors room, his attorneys Paul Heyman and Alvin Olinsky, were waiting for him. They were the owners of Heyman and Olinsky Law Group—one of the most prestigious criminal law groups in the world. Their reputation proceeded them, their clientele included high ranking mobsters, and drug cartel kingpins, and they were known for getting 99.5% of their clients acquitted. It was because of this reputation that Joe didn't mind spending money to hire them because they produced results.
"Mr. Anoa'i...how are you?" Paul greeted his client, shaking his hand. "This is my partner, Alvin Olinsky, and he and I will be working on your case."
"Nice to meet both of you". Joe said. "I hope y'all can help me out..get me outta this mess."
"Well, Mr. Anoa'i..as you know, we have a 99.5% acquittal rate, and that's nothing to sneeze at." Alvin chimed in. "However, I gotta be honest...you are facing some pretty serious charges, 2 counts of 1st degree murder, 2 counts of aggravated kidnapping and 2 counts of desecration of a corpse. Charges like that carry life in prison without the possibility of parole or depending on the prosecutor, the death penalty."
"But, no need to fear, we are confident that we can help you." Alvin continued. "We've gotten mobsters off who had several counts of murder, kidnapping, you name it."
At that point, Joe started to relax a little bit. He felt that the millions of dollars he was spending on his legal defense team was well worth it. He'd be damned if he was gonna spend the rest of his life behind bars over a selfish, sneaky and trifling bitch. She got exactly what the fuck she deserved—her and her useless friend.
"So what we need from you is, how we got here in the first place...we need your story from start to finish and don't leave out a single detail." Paul said, taking out a legal pad and pen beginning to write.
Joe then began to tell his attorneys about how he met Theresa at Georgia Tech, while he was playing football. Just then, the corrections officer appeared...
"Times up Anoa'i!" The correctional officer said sarcastically. "Wave bye-bye to the nice lawyers."
Joe rolled his eyes and his lips were twitching at the officer's sarcasm. If he thought he wouldn't catch another charge, he would beat the brakes off his Andy Griffith looking ass.
"Ok, Mr. Anoa'i, we will be back on your next visiting day, we'll see if we can get more days since you're pre-trial." Alvin said. "And don't worry you'll be ok."
"Thanks counselors." Joe said, as he left the visiting room.
On his way back to his cell, the corrections officer took this time to be funny....
"So did your public defender tell you how much time you're looking at?" He said, smirking.
"Oh you got jokes huh? I got a paid lawyer and I won't do a day in the joint. You can believe that!" Joe responded.
"Yeah we'll see inmate...we'll see."
Well this is the first chapter, my apologies if it's so short!
